Thankful Day #3

Image
Dan-- What more can I say? He is a wonderful Husband and father to our children. So many times he does things just so I can be happy, not because he wants to.

Things I love about Dan:
-Dan is my best friend. I can tell him anything! Even if he isn't listening all the time!

-Dan loves to play with the kids. Sometimes I think he wants to be a kid with them!

-He is hardworking.

-He keeps me on my toes! He is always adding new hobbies to my list!

-He is fun to be with.

-He is smart, athletic, and funny.

-He is a good sheet warmer!

-He thinks I am a good cook.

-He is not easily angered. Way more laid back than me.

-Great BBQer. (I think I just made up a word.)

-He takes the boys to do "man things."

-He encourages me to be healthy.

-He provides so, I can stay home with the kids.

-He puts up with me, and that isn't always easy!

-He is HOT!! hehe

Thankful Day #2

"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation." The Nineteenth Amendment (Amendment XIX) to the United States Constitution

I love to vote. I love the right I have to chose and to voice my opinion. I think there's something awfully cool about going to the polls.
I read this today and I love it! And I couldn't have said it better.

"Every time I enter the building where I cast my vote, I'm thankful. I'm thankful to live in a country where we can speak our mind about the problems in our government. I'm thankful we can vote for the candidates we think will best represent our views. I'm extremely grateful that men and women fight to give us the many freedoms we enjoy - the freedom to worship as we wish, the freedom to dissent lawfully, the freedom to speak our mind, and yes, the freedom to elect our leaders."

How about you? Did you vote today?

Thankful Day #1

How could I pass today up without being thankful for my wonderful boy Kyle? He is definately been a blessing in our lives. I can think of so many things that have happened because of Kyle. Jobs, houses, just to name a few. You may think, "WOW! Kyle got you houses and jobs?" Yes, he did. When we found out 6 years and 9 months ago that we were having another baby it spurred us in to motion. Dan found a new job and we bought a house in less than three months.
Kyle is a very sweet boy. He loves to sing (LOUDLY!), play with cars, anything that involves a ball and boy does he have personality.
We are thankful for you! Happy 6th Birthday!!

Happy Birthday, Jessica!!

Seven years have flown by too fast! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Jessica loves Polly Pockets, drawing, coloring and playing with friends. She is a wonderful student, dancer and soccer player. Love you, Jessie!!

Our new little addition

Sometimes I am still wondering what I got myself into. Potty training has not been easy. But, he is so cute and the kids love him. We weren't sure what to name him. After debating over several names Ellie sealed the deal. Her little "No, No, Budder!" Was just too cute. The rest of us call him Buster.

Image
Kyle decided he needed the be read to. Of course dogs love Diary of a Wimpy Kid!!

What a CRAZY Girl!

Funny things Ellie is doing right now:
I walked into the girls room after nap time to find this...
Image
And this...
Image
It isn't the first time she has done this. What do I do? Luckily the diaper was dry and so were the sheets. I don't think I can potty train her yet!

Loving babies! I think she will have twins. Notice the absence of clothes? Maybe this is a trend!!

The kids really look forward to swimming lessons every year. And I figure if we don't make it swimming that much at least the got to go a few times.

We went camping with Dan's family at Crystal Hot Springs. We had a great time even if the campground was a dump. I didn't take very many pictures. :(
Image
This is Dan and the kids at a reenactment of the Golden Spike. It was really cool and I am glad Bonnie wanted to go.

Beth came through town during Fiesta days and we were able to go to the carnival. There are too many cute pictures so, here are just a few.

Ellie's only ride.. her stroller. And for the second year in a row. But, she did get some cotton candy!
Image
What is it about this ride and the awesome poses!

For the 24th of July weekend we went camping with the Tong's and Jordan's to Fremont Indian State Park. We had a totally awesome time.
Image
My cutie girl, Ellie.
Image
Our most awesome campsite! This was one of the best campsites I have ever been too. Felt like southern Utah but, cooler and less crowded. Just at the edge of the picture is a path that leads down to a little stream with a cool bridge over it.

Kids playing in the stream.

Image
Spencer caught a lizard and the kids just loved it. Almost to death!!
Image
Ellie had a great time!
Image
So, did Jayme!
Image
Ellie and Alexis got along great! I see some best friends in the future!

Image
There was a cool museum with a great place for the kids to learn about indians.
We did lots of other cool stuff there too. Like hike, make petroglyphs, and go in a pit house.
Image
On the way home we stopped at Cove Fort. It was especially great b/c it was the 24th!

Wow! If you made it through all of that you deserve a reward!!
