Samifer's Transformative Works Policy

This is a full, detailed version of my transformative works policy regarding my art and fic.
Please refer to it to know what you can and cannot do with my works.

Regarding both general art & fic:

I give blanket permission for anyone to:

• Save and reproduce my work for private use only (using art as a phone wallpaper, printing fic to read, etc.)
• Create transformative works using my work as inspiration (fanart, recursive fic, etc.) as long as I am properly credited/made aware

I would prefer to be asked permission directly to:

• Remix my work, whether fic or art

I do not give permission to:

• Use any of my work for NFTs or anything crypto-related
• Use any of my work for machine-learning, AI, LLM, etc. no matter the purpose
• Use any of my work for commercial purposes

Regarding art specifically:

I do not give permission to:

• Repost or use my art online anywhere (including using my art as icons) unless commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. even with credit
• Edit my art in any manner unless commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. even with credit
• Translate my art directly on the picture to repost it even with credit
• Use my art for roleplay or Character AI even with credit

Regarding fic specifically:

I give blanket permission for anyone to:

• Translate my fic, except French→English or English→French
• Podfic my fic, though I would appreciate Lysandre's name being pronounced the French way

I would prefer to be asked permission directly to:

• Translate my fic from French→English or English→French
• Use elements/headcanons lifted directly from my fic (such as specific nicknames, made-up places, etc.) in fic otherwise unrelated to mine

Regarding commissioned work, gifts, trades, etc. specifically:

I give blanket permission for the commissioner, giftee, tradee, or otherwise owner of the character(s) (if applicable) to:

• Use the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. art as an icon, banner, wallpaper, etc. online with proper credit
• Share and/or repost the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. work online with proper credit
• Make minor edits to the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. art, such as resizing, cropping, or minor color adjustments

I would prefer to be asked permission directly to:

• Make major edits to the commissioned/gifted/traded/etc. work

Further information:

• If posting on Archive of Our Own, please make use of the "Related work/Inspired by" option.
• I do not mind being asked for permission to use my art, as long as it is done knowing I am likely to refuse.
• As I speak French and English fluently, I would prefer other people not attempt to translate my works in these languages without permission.
