Variation I - Strings

The Blacksmith, aka Blacksmith Courted Me, is a is a traditional English folk song. It was recorded by numerous artists. The most notable recordings were by Steeleye Span, with Maddy Prior as the lead vocalist. Prior published a live, a-cappella performance of this song in her album Ballads and Candles, released in 2000. I added my own interpretation to this unique performance. This is part of my recent album "Variations", and the playback is a variation on the album's theme tune and other tracks.
