DJ, producer and musician Cable Toy, whose tracks are being played at Dekmantel, Panoramabar, Boiler Room and Coachella, follows up releases for Jex Opolis' Good Timin imprint, a remix for Wolfram Feat. Peaches on Public Posession, Seth Troxler's Slacker label (forthcoming), and Exploited with 'Mufonyala'; a perfectly poised party track lands somewhere between Mood II Swing and Peggy Gou.

The original mix is a bountiful groove that laces snappy 808 drums over a deep, sneaky bass line and warm, buttery synth tones. The vocals are from friend Fotiniya and - although non-sensical - provide a pop of colour and give the sound a truly singular seasoning.

The remix channels the same spirit as the original but shifts it up a gear into more pacy, percussive territory. Shuffling snares and a slightly plumper bass line offer a second side to a coin that conjures the spirit of Panorama Sundays and renders a vivid image of the misty hue of daylight passing through the shutters.

Visionary producer Ilija Rudman confidently lands into the Black Jukebox catalogue with a truly mesmeric 2-tracker.
Based in Zagreb, Ilija has carved a legacy over more than two decades in the game throughout which he's released over 100 vinyl EPs and 8 studio albums, collaborating with the likes of Robert Owens, Greg Wilson, Faze Action and Ron Trent.
'Euphonia' opens up with a suave slice that melds deep Detroit shades with the flexible Electro funk of Morgan Geist and Clatterbox. A sawtooth bass climbs steps in the low end while gorgeous synths bend and glide at the groove's core. Crisp, delicate drums kick, snap and shuffle as they guide a low-slung, retro-futuristic trip to the moon.
'Late Checkout' draws for a similar sound palette as rich analogue pads form a magic carpet for Prelude-era synth phrases and another sneaking bass line. The tone is elegant and nothing feels forced as Ilija Rudman traverses the vast sonic territory between Salsoul-era Disco and modern Electro-funk in the most fluent and stylish manner.

Together, the duo join forces and roll out 'Buffdisco' - a powerful slice of lights-on Disco that glistens with an iridescent charm.

Serbian talent Veljko Jovic has impressed with his releases on the likes of I AM DIFFERENT, Lowbit, Area Verde and Multi Notes, scoring a Top 10 on Beatport in the process with his brooding sounds. His latest effort ‘Paris’ blends elements of electro, Italo, techno and synth pop into one heady, slow-building mix.
A monotone bassline chug probes at huge snare hits and rigid woodblock hits as the track builds, with pulses of synth energy punctuating the groove. Snarling, dark textures rise slowly from the depths, building a foundation of moody energy. Atonal, filtered stabs bring the techno flavour, juxtaposing against a dainty synth line right out of the Yazoo / early ‘80s textbook. The intensity builds towards the dramatic breakdown, where suddenly a rousing riff is introduced playing pleasing fifths. A spoken French vocal delays around the stereo field dizzyingly, and a taut breakbeat rhythm satisfyingly cuts into the mix with no warning. The track continues to flex and shapeshift, providing a delightful interplay between its myriad elements to create a truly wondrous sound.

Bearing flecks of Krautrock, Indie, Electronica and Funk, TLV's 'Super Cool' is a record that traverses vast sonic territory. Here, the focus is dialled into the dance floor as Exploited Club enlist the skills of 3 adroit remixers who offer up their club-ready takes on the original.
 
Glasgow's Autin Ato kicks us off. Following up releases on Bristol's Futureboogie, Phonica White and Razor-N-Tape - Ato lays out the rhythmic bones of a classic House groove which he fleshes out with some deliciously hallucinogenic Italo synths. Progress steadily creeps forwards, getting more and more heady as it does, ferrying the listener through a kaleidoscopic tunnel of reverb, fractured vocals and shimmering bursts of melody.

Next up is Mexican producer Colossio - following up releases on Theus Mago’s Duro label, DGTL, Riotvan and Innervisions - who lines up a dynamo of a remix, wringing the original elements out, twisting and stretching them across a feverish drum workout. Drilling lasers and stacking stabs work in unison to fold fervour over and over as the track grows more and more pungent in the build up to a wide eyed breakdown. Energy tumbles back in for a psychotropic conclusion that doesn't turn down the heat until the very end.

Capping things off is Israeli producer Darco who struts in with a truly unique revision. Pattering drum skins provide a percolating bed for a gorgeous patchwork of sound. Heartstring piano chords and flickering synth lines stretch their arms out across a dilated and amorous breakdown. Tension bursts with all the passion of a paean as it renders visions of sunbeams and ecstasy adding further shades of light to an already glistening recording.

Exploited Club warmly welcomes Brazilian talent Cour T. who serves up 4 of his trademark distilled, high impact dance floor cuts.

At just 22, Cour T. has already laid the groundwork for a vibrant and fruitful career. His debut LP 'Brain Deals' for San Francisco label Dirtybird and subsequent support from the Hot Creations crew saw him propelled into a space reserved for only the most propitious and hard working.

He's continued to deliver with each step that's followed, growing in scale and swag as he has and his next EP for Exploited Club is yet another progressive step on course.

'Disko Blow' kicks us off with a lean slice of Italo. All excess is trimmed leaving behind a refined selection of dry, brawny sound that smacks with maximum impact. An elastic synth rings out while psychedelic FX burst in a fractal flurry while the ebb and flow of the track moves with an arresting quality guaranteed to whip up serious floor fervour.

'Empires' slaps in with comparable force as a whetted drum break nips over a boisterous and playful bass line. Sassy guitar licks breath in some balmy air while delayed signals almost provide a delicate dub seasoning to an otherwise straight-up House groove.

'Eple' follows up with a a steamy, Ghetto-edged vibe that's powered by a turbo snare and a shark-bite bass line. Another masterclass in arrangement unfolds as the track grows more and more muscular across it's chapters, giving it that fail-safe quality and rendering it highly playable.

'7th Desire' finishes up with a rich and potent sound layered with delays, melodies and FX that braid together into a misty mood. An extended, humid breakdown has energy swelling up before accumulating at full force; vocals shining through a rushy, eye-widening conclusion'.

Finally, Matpat go loop crazy on the thumping disco house cut "Only You" which sits somewhere between Rahaan and Soundstream. Excellent stuff all round.

With over 7 million plays and counting on YouTube Compuphonic's 2011 collaboration with Marques Toliver, 'Sunset' raised the bar pretty high. Since then Maxime has gone on to produce remixes for the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Gotye even and fellow Belgians The Subs (winning a Red Bull award in the process) and release two acclaimed EPs on Berlin label Exploited.

Now finally Maxime and Marques have reunited for a new EP on Exploited, 'Magical Shoes', and the results are everything we could have hoped for.

Having delivered two huge club hits in 2014 with ’Radio Atlantis’ and ’O Cypres’, Belgian star Compuphonic returns this February with his third EP for Exploited, ‘Magical Shoes’. 2 tracks of sublime House music, the ‘Magical Shoes’ EP sees Compuphonic finally reunited with the Beyoncé approved American singer Marques Toliver, whose vocals previously graced Maxime’s 2012 breakout hit ’Sunset’.

Once again this Transatlantic pairing have struck gold as Compuphonic’s distinctive brand of deeply emotional, nuanced, House Music provides the perfect setting for Marques’ plaintive vocals. With it’s distinctive Korg M1 organ and shuffling beats ‘Magical Shoes’ instantly brings to mind legendary ‘90s New York clubs like The Sound Factory but thanks to Compuphonic’s production skills it goes well beyond that of simple period pastiche and sounds utterly fresh for 2015, a bonafide club hit that is already peppering the sets of DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Tensnake and The Magician.

As the title suggests the EP’s 2nd track ‘The Sun Does Rise’ is the natural successor to the duo’s previous outing. As deep as the Pacific Ocean this is a trance inducing hymn to hope, music designed to elevate the soul as much as move the body and bring some much needed warmth back to clubland. Expect to hear this played everywhere and anywhere this year where the party goes through the night and the first morning light breaks over the dancefloor.

Recorded in the famous Vantage Point Studios in Antwerp - dEUS’s own recording studio, a special, inspiring moment for Maxime, a lifelong fan of the band - the ‘Magical Shoes’ EP cements his position as one of Europe’s most talented producers and with remixes to come soon on Carl Craig’s Planet E and more original material on Exploited, the future is looking bright for Compuphonic.

DJ, producer and musician Cable Toy, whose tracks are being played at Dekmantel, Panoramabar, Boiler Room and Coachella, follows up releases for Jex Opolis' Good Timin imprint, a remix for Wolfram Feat. Peaches on Public Posession, Toy Tonics (forthcoming comp) and Exploited Club with 'Mufonyala'; a perfectly poised party track lands somewhere between Mood II Swing and Peggy Gou.

The original mix is a bountiful groove that laces snappy 808 drums over a deep, sneaky bass line and warm, buttery synth tones. The vocals are from friend Fotiniya and - although non-sensical - provide a pop of colour and give the sound a truly singular seasoning.

The remix channels the same spirit as the original but shifts it up a gear into more pacy, percussive territory. Shuffling snares and a slightly plumper bass line offer a second side to a coin that conjures the spirit of Panorama Sundays and renders a vivid image of the misty hue of daylight passing through the shutters.

Hamburg based Bizzaro Universe return to Exploited Club with an interplanetary trip that sharpens 90s progressive sensibilities with zesty contemporary edge.

'Fear & Vision' fires up the engines and wastes no time in beginning an expedition extending far beyond the stratosphere. Dense, muscly drums generate a hefty whack of horsepower but remain light on their feet as they pump swiftly under cosmic, telescoping tones. Vocals intermittently transmit in, providing a grounding sense of orientation while flecks of acid burst and blur like stars viewed from the cockpit window.

'Orbit Control' hits cruise control and pilots us towards the record's conclusion. Intensity steadily hums as a gravitational pull develops and the vibe flys direct and straight. Drums stay locked across the perfect bridge track for DJs looking to maintain peak time intensity without burning the dance floor out.

'Invasion Mode' hits some turbulence and injects a dose of urgent dance floor pressure. Strings colour the atmosphere with a looming intensity while synth stabs charge past like asteroids. Flangers tunnel through a steadily accelerating breakdown that barely eases up as snares rattle and crashes fizz before the sound barrier is broken and the track pops with powerful peak-time potency.

This is music on a mission - active, propulsive and full of zeal.

His versatile DJ skills cover every mood in a heavy weekend of partying. His musical output covers a broad stylistic range while retaining its own clear fingerprint and often bypassing the conventions of purely functional club music.
Douglas Greed has also been spreading more bass-heavy vibes for many years in his live set-up with Fabian Kuss on vocals (who is also featured on ’Like Feathers’) and Michael Nagler on drums.

We couldn’t resist to release this soulful boogie disco house joint GOLDEN GIRLS from Tigerskin & Jack Jenson featuring vocals from south african rising star Lazarusman.

The both producers about their session: „We were looking  for inspiration by listening to various bassline stems freshly recorded the week before. And we checked the secret studio archive which includes the recordings of almost 30 years of Tigerskins work. Looking for hidden treasures in hundreds of recordings we stumbled across a simple and unreleased drum arrangement.

Just for fun we added one of our basslines to it and recorded a bunch of melodies with some of the old Moogs. You know you're working on 'one of those songs' when each member delivers exactly the ingredient that the others were thinking of when working on their part. When Lazarusman sent the vocals and as we listened the first time to the demo version of what would become ‚Golden Girls' we both looked at each other and agreed that this might be our best work so far.“

Hamburg duo The Adana Twins have been in the limelight of every chart over the past year, topping the poles of Beatport and Resident Advisor respectfully. Their 'Juicy Fruit' hit last year took the deep house faithfull by storm picking up huge support across the board from DJs of all genres.

Claptone opened 2012 with the Beatport Top10 track 'Cream' which has become our most succesful tune on Exploited.

Dutch prodigy Budakid returns to Exploited for his third mesmerising EP on the label, with two fresh new opuses for your delectation. 

The End is one of his typically cinematic tracks, reminiscent of 90s melodic breakbeat types Hybrid. Hovering, Reese-toned bass looms subtly over intricate, light broken beats and gently enveloping string progressions. Crisp and spacious, the arrangement is honed to perfection. Muted, gated stabs echo the ghost of 90s trance in the breakdown, fusing beautifully with the breaks when the beat drops back in. Soft cymbal rides splash across the surface as the elements fuse back together for a restrained crescendo. Perfect for the afterhours or a spot of deep meditation.

Linguistic sees Budakid in more of a deep house / melodic techno mood. Subtle synth licks waft across the stereo field as live percussion forms a groove and wildlife sounds create a heady atmosphere deep in the distance. A plodding groovy bassline drives its way into the foreground, while minimialist layers of electronics build the mood. The brain-twisting breakdown makes more great use of noise gating as a dizzying lead soars and pulses. Its a great piece of work that centres more on mood and texture than melody, and in doing so recalls classic progressive house sounds.
