Life brings you to weird places and throws overwhelming emotions at you sometimes. Having butterflies in your stomach in a dirty underground club at 3 AM is definitely part of some of our stories--and it's thankfully part of mine. 

I created this mix with 3 parts in mind: 
>> the music is loud and the lights are showing only the contour of people. your eyes click and lock instantly. you take their hand and move them to the bathroom stall. 
>> the butterflies raise, the eyes are rolling from the floor to the ceiling, your hands are trying not to touch anything disgusting. it's exhilarating. It's orgasmic.
>> the hands unlock, your lips taste like lipgloss, and the cigarette after has never been this savory before.

Stunner - Live from Cherries on Top Opening Party

On 8 January I celebrated my birthday in the mountains, in a beautiful house surrounded by forests, together with 25 of my closest friends. We danced and celebrated for 2 days, and officially kick started the 2022 season of @cabanalibre parties!

This set took form on Saturday night, around 2 AM, when the forest creatures were undulating their bodies to the laser shapes and bass vibrations. Enjoy.

Synastry - as heard at Ruxx's B'day Bash (Cabana Libre, 8 Jan 2022)

Esoteric (adj.) - intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest.

On 19 March I had the pleasure of playing on a Sound System for the first time. Thank you so much Azadi Sound System for inviting me! I had an absolute blast going through some of my first-love songs, as well as some recent discoveries which I've been wanting to share with the world for a while, but never got the chance to. It was impossible for me to know that I'll be playing on a tower of speakers made for the bass - and not play dub.

The following tracks have never previously seen the outside of my living room before last weekend. Huge shout-out and respect to all dub, dubstep, and dnb djs out there. I feel like in order to be able to play this you need to realllly exercise your skills! It's a style which can let you travel between world in terms of bpm, vocals, tricks, spins, and just straight up replaying the songs from the bginning, but better this time around. "No rules" is a hard rule to follow.

Esoteric - Live from Mash-Up in the Mountains on Azadi Sound System

Peitho in Greek means "Persuasion," which makes the goddess one of those abstract allegorical figures on the order of Tyche ("Chance") or Ate ("Discord"). Unsung in Homer and Ovid, indeed hardly mentioned in any of the standard legends or tales, she remains a mysterious background figure--like some distant and teasing mirage.

Styx, the eldest of the Okeanides (Oceanids), is a nymph and a titan who eventually became the goddess of the underworld river that was named after her.  It was believed that her goddess powers were to make people invulnerable.

This set is the slowest one I’ve ever recorded, going from 110 to 106 and then back up to 111 bpm. It has tracks I fell in love with when I started DJing 4 years ago, and tracks I discovered this year too!
 It’s a travel through the desert of your mind, where all the answers lie - if you’re willing to listen. Close your eyes, open up and embrace the magic surrounding you - and enjoy.

Ruxxandra is currently based in Barcelona, after entering the events scene in the Netherlands and Prague.
Her musical storyteller journey started in 2019, inspired by the euphoria guests feel on the dance floor every time the bass hits their chests. As if casting a spell, she aims to transform the audience into a single unit that waves in unison to the beat.

7 year of Cabana Libre - 7 years since I've been putting my heart on a sleeve and sharing my passions with the world. It was an amazing celebration together with our precious Cabaniers in a location just outside of Barcelona, filled with outter-wordly decorations and vibes.

Indelible - Live from Intergalactica (Cabana Libre 7Y Anniversary, 25 Nov 2023)

A storm rages as final preparations are made to bring the Bride to life. Her bandage-wrapped body is raised through the roof, where electricity is harnessed from lightning to animate her. Henry and Pretorius lower her and, after realizing their success in bringing her to life, remove her bandages and help her to stand.

the Bride of Frankenstein is one of my favorite Queens of Darkness. Why? Certainly, the “role” of a bride was the ideal standard that women were expected to achieve in 1930s American society, and the ultimate prize that men were pressured to obtain. Frankenstein’s Bride, created for the sole purpose of fulfilling the monster’s desire for companionship, not only refuses to yield to the masculine demands for submission, but also acts effectively as the glue that holds Bride of Frankenstein together. She is the impetus that drives the action, and the catalyst that brings the destruction. She is wanted, hated, feared, and admired more than any other character in this film.

Press play and surrender yourself to my musical interpretation of the Bride's life journey, from creation, through learning to speak, forming ideas, fight for her beliefs, and ultimately orchestrating her own permanent destruction.

Into the Wild — a night to remember at Cabana Libre’s 3rd festival. This live recording captures the magic of Saturday night, where I had the honor of curating the lineup and opening for the incomparable M.E.M.O., one of my all-time favorite DJs.

Set amidst nature’s untamed beauty, this set is a journey through deep grooves, organic textures, and cinematic melodies.

Music and nature share a rhythm—a pulse that reminds us we’re all part of something bigger. This set is my love letter to that connection, weaving moments of introspection with bursts of energy as wild as the world around us 🌌.

Into The Wild - Live from Cabana Libre Festival (14 Sept 2024)

My birthday came and passed, but this recording will keep it alive in everyone's minds!
I co-hosted an event together with my Capricorn sister Bella, and as our ages together formed 333.0 - which is half of 666, we threw a Halfway to Hell birthday party! 
The event took place in a gorgeous vila just outside of Barcelona, built in the 13th century. Most of the furniture and decorations around the space are the original ones, including this gorgeous inside chapel with the Saviour's portrait that you can see in the thumbnail.
It was an absolute honor to be celebrating a new year around the sun in this location, surrounded by amazing and beautiful friends from all around the world - big shoutout to the ones that flew in for the event!
This set was a compilation of red tracks I've been in love with for years - I've discovered them at different stages of my dj life and decided to put them together under this fire tracklist. You'll have to excuse the mistakes you'll hear, I spent much time during the set hugging people and telling silly stories, so I was not always 100% focused on the mixer haha! What a great night, wish you were all there!

Halfway to Hell (Live from my birthday party, 11 Jan 2025)

8 years of Cabana Libre. However you'd look at it, that's an impressive number to stay committed to a project. All of this would be impossible without the support of our amazing Cabaniers, and their constant love for getting together under our roof. 
I was honored to be able to close this lovely night (my set was just after midnight, which is why the photo shows the 14th stamp, in case you were wondering about the discrepancy between the thumbnail and the title hehe).
Amazingly fond memories coming out of this event - great location, great people, great music, amazing celebrations all around!
