2009 is 1/3 gone.....

.... And this is my firImagest post. AAHH! Wow, so obviously I am not very good at this. What has happened? January was a pretty blah month.

February... Jaedyn turned 8 and was baptised. Graycen turned 5 and is ready for kindergarten (YAHOO!!) Maddyson did some cheering at Freemont High School. Kamryn just keeps getting bigger and throws more tantrums.
March... We got our new baby chicks. We ended up with 14 babies.

Randy had his 40th birthday. I was going to surprise him with a party at the old folks home but with the medical tests he had to go through I thought I would hold off. Thank goodness everything turned out to be okay. He is just one of the weird ones.

April.....We went to St. George for Easter weekend. We had a blast hiking. We enjoyed exploring and being together as a family.
We also got to be with Randy's sister Debbie for her 50th birthday celebration.

Mom and Dad have been gone for almost two weeks with Holly and Micah. It has been weird not having them here. Good but bad at the same time. We sure do miss them.
Image

I have decided why I do not like to do this. I am getting frustated with it not turning out the way I want it. I do not like the way the paragraph is wrapping the pictures. AAAHH! I hate perfection!
Image
HEHE! Mom was watching the kids while Randy and I were catering a wedding... And this is what we came home to. Kamryn had painted her fingers nails (and all skin showing outside her PJ's) with black finger nail polish. Oh that was fun to clean up. Luckily she missed the blanket.

Well I finally posted. Here is to the Summer!!! Hopefully you will see me on here again soon.

What a Thanksgiving!

Sure do love these warm times. Grandma and Aunt Pam bought a trailer this year so we are using and abusing them. We all decided to go camping for Thanksgiving. Think we are crazy? Check out this photo.......Image
Oh yeah! That is us swimming on Thanksgiving. Beautiful, sunny and a warm 60 degrees. We went swimming all four days that we were there. It was so nice. I think the water was 98 degreesImageImage or so. Of course we bundled up at night but man was it fun. Image Of course Randy was our personal chef for the weekend, so he was the one who was always cold. I guess he shouldn't like to cook so much, that will teach him.

Just thinking about snow makes me cold, but I sure hope we see some by Christmas Eve. Apparently a big storm is coming, but we will see. They have said that for sooo many weeks.

Well I guess I better get going, I have a Ward Christmas party to prepare for. Randy and I are the Ward Activities Chairs, so we get our first big hit for Christmas. We just had some ward boundary changes. we have been placed in the new Lakeview Ward. So we are all starting from scratch and flying by the seat of our pants. I will let you all know how it goes. Until then............. Image

Oh the innocence of childern!! (Isn't he cute!!)

HEHE! I am just not very good at this. I guess when you do not have a lot to say, then what do you write? I have tried to come up with things.........but man is it hard. We are getting ready to go camping for ThaImagenksgiving. It should be fun, I will post pictures when we get back.
These are the lastest birthday pictures that I got. Aren't they cute.
I Imagethink they did an excellent job at catching each of their personalities. Graycen absolutely kills me with her funky character. JImageaedyn is always sweet and innocent. Maddy is the emotional fall flat on the ground type girl. And Kamryn she is the I'm so cute, let me hide my horns......
I love them all so much. Thanks Holly for capturing treasured memories for me.

Well once again it is me who is slacking.I have never really been good at writing in a journal. I did try the other day to put a post up, but I could not get the pictures to load, so I gave up.

We finally got around to doing family pictures (we usually do them in May for Mother's Day,) but this year has been so hectic it seems, that we are just now getting to it. We decided this year that we would do some outdoors pictures in Grandma Walker's backyard. We just used my camera and had a great time! Our every expanding family just doesn't squish well into Kiddie Kandids.

ImageIt is crazy to see how fast our children go. School starts on Monday and I don't think I have been this excited since Maddy first started school. Maddyson will be in the fifth grade this year. She is way excited and looks forward to learning right along with her teacher. Her teaches is Miss Brown who is a first year teacher.

Jaedyn is going into the second grade and is excited to get back into the social aspect of school. She has a lot of friends in her class and is excited to see them after such a long summer.

Graycen starts preschool this year YIPPEE! She is the child that I have waited a long time for school to start. She needs the away from Mom time! Or maybe I need it?!? That will just leave Kamryn and me. Wow! I would have never thought it would be this way......I was always ready for summer, but I guess this proves that we can all change

Randy and I have been busy doing a lot of Dutch oven catering. We have had four large jobs in the month of August. It is so much work though. We love the extra cash that it provides though and look forward to winter when the bookings tend to slow down. I am hoping that this winter we can start on finishing the basement with the little bit that we have left over.

We have some good friends that do funny family pictures each year to show that side of family life. We liked the idea so a few Imageyears ago we started this tradition with our family. It is so fun to see the girls get wild and crazy and show how we like to be with each other. We girls love to pick on our dad!!!

Well until our next fashionable entrance, this is the latest in the Macari and Co. blog.

Finally!!!!

Image Well looky here it is finally up and the chickens are loving it. The hose is temporary while we have just hydro seeded the lawn and need to water the back garden. I still need to stain it and get the front porch rails on. The right shutter has since been placed on the window and the little window with the flower box aImagelso has a shutter on it. Here are a few of the chickens and I believe that is Christmas Dinner there on the left. We are finding that we have three roosters out of eleven chickens. So I guess we will start being up at the butt crack of dawn with the cock-a-doodle-doo's. It is quite funny to listen to them as they are just learning that they can make such a funny noise. Sounds like a young man going through puberty. HEHE! When the grass comes in I will have to blog the landscaping that seems to be taking us forever(and there isn't very much of it.)

We just took our first trip on the new Front Runner. We decided spur of the moment to take a trip to Salt Lake. We took the Front Runner to the Gateway then got onto trax and went to Sandy. We ate dinner at the Mayan. The girls loved watching the water show with the boys jumping off of the big rocks. We the got back on trax to the Gateway and went shopping. We tried an ice cream from Ben and Jerry's but the girls were not too impressed. We went back to get on Front Runner and watched as it drove away. Little did we know that the next train didn't come for an HOUR! If we would have hurried just a little bit. Aaaah! Well I guess that's what you get when you don't check the schedule. Well there is absolutely nothing to do at the station so we just sat and enjoyed each others company. That is about the sum of this entry......until next time!

In the Coop

HEHE! If you can't remember your username and password, I guess you cannot post a new message. Well I finally figured it out so here is another creative entry into our blog.

In our next adventure we are attempting to raise chickens. I guess when you live in Hooper for more then two years then you need to start aclamating to the farmer life. So we are now the proud parents of 12 chickens and 2 turekeys(Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner :) We have had them in the garage for the last five weeks getting them ready to go into the real world. They have all gotten their feathers now, so we have started building their new coop. We have all of the outside done and are now putting in the nesting boxes. We are to the point of getting the roosting perch up and putting the hay down on the floor. It is raining today, so it looks like we will have to finish this product closer to the weekend. I will attach photos when it is done. Anyone want some eggs? They won't start laying until September or October but we could get up to 2400 eggs a year. Scrambled, fried, poached, egg salad, cakes, omelets, dunky, egg casserole, souffle................................. Sounds like Forest and his shrimp boat buddy, Bubba.

Kamryn just turned two. Can you believe it my baby is two. Quite an adventure it has been. She is chatting up a storm and her favorite thing is to watch the horses from our back window. Everytime we go somewhere the only way to calm her down is to play eye spy for horses.

Maddyson is in the school opera. She is playing one of the lead roles as the mother of the main character. She is so excited. She is also performing tonight at Abravanel Hall. Only three elementarys in the state get to perform at tonights performance and their school is one of them. I am one of the lucky moms who gets to ride in the bus with them. WOOHOO! 120 kids all the way to Salt Lake. We should be home around 10 o'clock and just in time for me to go to bed.

Jaedyn is doing great. She is very excited for summer. She just had to have a molar extracted and a spacer put in, and while they were in their they noticed that the molar behind it had also been affected so they had to do a root canal on it. She has bounced back quickly but looks quite different since she is also missing the two top front teeth.

Graycen is just as full of is as ever. She is four now and is ready to start preschool in the fall. We went and took a tour of the classroom and now it is even more fun for her. She can't stop talking about it and asking when she finally gets to go. I am excited for her to go so that she can form other social interactions.

All of the girls have their dance recital next Saturday, so I will see if I can get pictures posted for you to see. I think this is enough for this post, but I will post again so you can see our adventures with our chickens.
