Disneyland for the first time

When we knew we were driving to California for our family reunion, I decided we had to make a trip to Disneyland--if only for ONE DAY! And that's just what we did. I gathered all of the information I could to maximize the fun, and we were there from 8am til nearly midnight. Our kids did amazing, and Cali even fell asleep in the stroller mid day so as not to miss her nap. The beginning pictures I posted first on my photography blog, but I also wanted them here--our family journal. I then added in a few extras at the end. It was my first time at DisneyLAND, I grew up closer to World...

I was so happy that we were able to rent this stroller for the day instead of hauling our stroller from Texas. Love this shot of my fam above, as we embarked on Disneyland for the first time.

Matthew was selected from the audience to participate in a Star Wars light saber battle with Darth Maul. It was pretty cool to see how much he got into it!

Michael's brother Steve and his family also joined us, but we pretty much did our own things most of the day and just met up at the end of the day! We enjoyed a little ice cream treat together.

Alyssa got a wee bit scared on the Indiana Jones ride.

We didn't have time to wait in line to chat with Cinderella, but we got a pic with her in the background;)

I feel like one full day was PERFECT, it was so much fun!!!

July 2011 iphone pictures

In July 2011 we bought our new van, I got an iphone, and we drove to California. Here are our adventures via my new phone in pictures.

Though we went for a Duke family reunion in San Diego, made made a whirlwind one day trip to Disneyland. More pictures scattered througough this post.

Michael was so happy to be in the Pacific ocean again. He taught the kids to boogie board.

Michael is holding our family touch here. After I got my iphone, Tyler got Russells iphone to use as a touch, we found Matthew a used itouch, and 6 months later I surprised Michael with his iphone.

We had our summer pool days at home, and we often ordered pizza.

We went to a Mexican restaraunt with our friends the Partridge Family, and they did face/body painting for the kids.
