silly moments in our Mayhem

Kambrie found interest in doing some diamond art. She was also very excited to color a picture for her preschool teacher. I found it's very hard to write in my journal when fluffy is on my bed. He loves to attack the pen. Annabelle found a baby bird under our tree and it became the new favorite toy. 

Also, Kambrie is just the cutest when it comes to taking pictures. 

  

  

 

a camping we did go.

We had our annual Labor Day campout at lake Metigoshi. This year we had a very large group. Even with the few families that canceled last minute. The Palacios did join last minute, and thankfully they were able to get a camp site somewhat close to us. Carl and Debbie joined us. It's their last time for 2 years because they have accepted a call to serve a service mission in Utah. Jeremy and Cassidy Campbell and their 3 kids, Mikael and Josh Larson and their 3 kids, Jason Erickson and his 4 kids along with Jill. Esther and Dallin Howell. Aaron and Lily Gourdin came the 2nd day and only stayed one night. 

I didn't feel like we were much of a group this year. Everyone seemed to go their own way and do their own thing. We go together for dinners, but even that was kind of messy. With everyone coming when they were available. I usually stay up late sitting around the campfire, but I went to bed the same time as the kids each night. 

Hyrum and Jason were the cornhole tournament champions this year. Carl made us and the Howells a corn hole board set. Chris was so excited to design and stain his. I think they turned out pretty well. The American flag and the rebel flag.   

     

 

     

 

    

 

Happy 66th birthday Grammy!

 It is so fun that Carl and Debbie come to visit over Debbie's birthday. I love celebrating birthdays (even if it's not their favorite thing to do) 
Annabelle was so excited to get the table decorated and everything ready for Grammy to come inside! Each kid also picked out a fun gift for grammy. 

   

 We celebrated with Jambalaya for dinner and an ice cream cake! 

we are busy busy

Our close friends the Scows, had an emergency with one of their children and had to go out of town, about 2 hours away. I picked up the kids from school and they ended up sleeping over. Kambrie loved having her "Boyfriend" Grayson over for the day. We spent some time at the park in order to let their little one nap. It was a bit crazy, but the kids did great, 

  

 

Meeting an apostle of the Lord.

 Elder D Todd Christofferson came to speak to us at a special stake conference. It was held in our stake center. They did not broadcast it out to other church buildings, so we had to get there about an hour or so before the meeting started. The building was packed, but it didn't pass its maximum occupancy. 

After the meeting was over, Elder Christofferson asked for all the kids to come shake his hand. 

  

School is back in session

Another school year has started! One of the 4 children starting school today, was excited to actually go to school. 

Kambrie was having a great time having mom all to herself. We enjoyed sometime at the park, and then came home to make sugar cookies of the kids' grade they started this year. Hyrum a 12, Quinn 8, Jase 4, and Annabelle 2, Kambrie got a "P" for preschool. She will start after Labor Day.
