After the shower Mason thought he'd try out his new sippy cup with the aid of Grandmother
The urgency to introduce Mason to the beach was immediate for his Auntie Em...Mason seemed to feel the excitement in the air...but as you can see (below) his enthusiam was a bit short lived in route...
"Are we there yet???" It's begun.
First Beach Experience--introduction made by Em, Roger, and Sarah (who is currently not in this picture because she was too embarrassed by the fact that we were carrying a RAIN UMBRELLA and a massively large camera (all we could hear from her mutterings was something about tourists...)

Mason and Mama
Beach Bums-- Sarah and Mason, soak up a little sun...only poor Mason has his daddy's skin and 5 minutes into the sunning experience we had to pull out the umbrella (that was with baby sunscreen too!).
With the umbrella in use Mason suddenly decided that every toy must be immediately collected that was not under the protective screening of the umbrella...so much for trying to protect his skin! Eventually all toys were collected--including his favorite: his shoes.

But that is ok, Nana is here to help, and Mason loves his Nana.
