Singing

The Friendly Hero is becoming quite the little song artist. He has several favorite songs, and they are the songs with actions--The Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Wise Man/Foolish Man, Book of Mormon Stories, The Wheels on the Bus, etc. Here is him "singing" more like Dancing to the spider.

It is sideways....So turn your head or computer screen. Which ever is easiest.

The only song he actually sings is "When you're helping, you're happy." And that's only the la la la la at the end.

Playing Ping Pong

The Bug Hero and I came up with a list of acceptable things for the Boy Heroes to play ping pong with: (Some of these things are acceptable when the Peaceful Hero learns how to throw.)

1. Balls.
2. Boxes.
3. Cookies.
4. Books. (preferably small books)
5. Rocks. (also preferably small rocks)
6. Rat Skulls.

Why did we come up with this list? Because for the last month they've been playing ping pong with a virus. Totally unacceptable.

A consequence of playing with a virus? Both boys have double ear infections! I can't wait for the cold season to leave us!

A Traumatic Experience

ImageWhat do you do when Mom is feeding a baby? Play in warm water, lotion, and soap until you pee your pants. Traumatic more to yourself than to Mom.

Brothers

ImageFriendly Hero: 8 1/2 Months
ImagePeaceful Hero: 3 1/2 Months

Brothers? I think so! As a side note--I thought that Friendly Hero was big...I had no point of reference, besides the clothes. He was always in the clothes larger than his age. This outfit, FH is growing out of and PH is growing into. It's a nine month size. Peaceful Hero is putting Friendly Hero to shame. He's the big one of the family.

Didn't want to say anything....

I haven't wanted to say anything these past two weeks. I didn't want to sound like I was bragging. I also didn't want to jinx anything. I mean, the Friendly Hero isn't even two.

He had been showing an interest in the potty and we got him a new potty and watched with bated breath. I didn't want to push this on him (but it would be nice) and I didn't want to hinder him. Well, last week we went and got big boy underwear...(cars) and let him have at it. It took him a few days of accidents, but he is great now. He loves his cars and potty.

He's potty trained! You go BOY!
