Taking after Dad
The Friendly Hero is always in awe of Dad as he holds bugs. He requested to hold a bug himself. Daddy Obliged.
He was so excited to see the bug crawling around!
We love Daddy!

Religion and Food
I have recently been thinking and laughing over this quote. It's from Alcatraz vs. the Shattered Lens by Brandon Sanderson. It's the fourth book in a funny series. I thought this was worth sharing.
Religions, in the Hushlands, are basically about food.
That's right, food. In following one religion or another, you end up boycotting certain foods. If you become Hindu, for instance, you give up beef. Mormons give up alcohol and coffee. Catholics can eat pretty much whatever they want, but have to give up the stuff they like the most for one month a year, while Muslims give up all food during the daytime hours of Ramadan.
So which religion is the best? Well, it depends. In my cultivated opinion, I'd suggest Judaism.
But that's because I prefer the path of yeast resistance.

4th of July
For the 4th we went to Purdue's campus to play in the water fountains.
We had a blast!
We loved getting Wet--except for the Peaceful Hero.
We laughed and played.
The Friendly Hero played and played until he slipped and hit his head in the same spot that he had hit in the morning. (As of this week, he has re-hit that one spot seven times.) We had lots of fun, except for the Peaceful Hero. He didn't like the water or the heat. We played as long as he lasted.
Thanks to Honey for sending all of us wonderful rash guards! We are fair skinned and need the extra sun protection!

An Interruption
Normally I don't blog about myself. It's a little weird to share things to the world about how awesome I am. I don't know if it's that I'm humble or if it's that I just don't do things that compare to the coolness of my kids.
But Last Night, I did. I went with my neighbor, and dear friend to a JOSH GROBAN concert!
We were dared by someone to yell out "I want to have YOUR BABIES! Oh, wait, I already have some." We didn't, because we were too far away to be heard.
It was awesome! He sings as good live as he does on his studio recordings. He's also funny. He would be talking about the song and then interrupt himself with a "wow, I'm rambling..." or he'd call back to people in the audience, "I love you too, first-name last-name that I don't know."
I had a lot of fun!
Here's me and my friend. With the not quite natural hold-the-camera-and-take-a-picture-of-yourself shot.
Here's Josh. If you don't believe me, then tough. It's a small picture, but it is him.
I was trying to decide how much of a "Grobanite" I am. I mean I'm not one of the screaming girls desperate for his handshake or for him to fall in love with me. I'm not a part of his fan club or know all of his deepest darkest secrets. I do own all of his CD's though, (except for his live concert CD which I have all the songs he preformed) and was willing to go spend money to see him live. And it was worth it.

Sometimes His Eyes are really that Blue
Our favorite grocery store, where the Friendly Hero is a Rock Star, has these carts. The Peaceful Hero is finally big enough to sit with him in the car. Having his brother there, keeps the Friendly Hero in the cart, mostly--and I can get shopping done.
They are best friends. With Brilliant Blue Eyes, that everyone comments on. We add on an extra 15 minutes of shopping time to stop and listen to comments on how cute my children are. And since they're my genes, I flatter myself that I am the reason they are that cute. But whatever you think about me or the Bug Hero--We make adorable kids.
*Trying to get both Children smiling and looking at the camera is impossible at the grocery store.

Growing Up Fast!
A Month is a huge amount of time to a baby. At the start of the month of June, Peaceful Hero learned how to sit up. He loves it, and we love it.
Midway through June I put him on this tractor of ours, and He was in love, as you can see!
He even got the horn to honk.
Then, he did something I didn't think he would do for another two or three months. He started STANDING with assistance! Oh WOW! This boy is growing up! (Blurry, but it has all three of us in it.)
His legs aren't painted on!
He's got another month under his belt--What a big Boy!
Midway through June I put him on this tractor of ours, and He was in love, as you can see!
