Too late for Chritmas??

I can't believe I forgot to post about Christmas! I guess 4 months late isn't too late! We spent Christmas in Colorado with the Brady clan. It was the last Christmas we'd all be together for quite a few years with Mark and John's missions, Brett at college and the Draschils in Boston. It was a Christmas I'll never forget - SO FUN. First Hair Cut

Kasons first hair cut was at 10 months old (in October). Matson and I tried to tag team the squirmy little dude - it was tricky. The sucker only kept him still for so long. We had to get the cut fixed not too long later. He looks so big!I LOVE this picture

Mom & Taylee Date

Taylee and I had a mother/daughter date. We headed to the U of U and saw Yo Gabba Gabba "in real life." Taylee didn't really know what to expect but when she got there - OH MY GOSH. SHE LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!! It was the funnest night ever! Here are some highlights:

Halloween this year was a BLAST! Taylee was a princess fairy (with a homemade skirt I'm pretty proud of) by day and a pirate by night. Kason was a pirate too. His favorite thing in the world is suckers - so Halloween was a hit for him as long as he had a sucker in his mouth. Taylee liked trick-or-treating but after about 5 houses she wanted to go home. I made her hit a few more houses so I could have a better stash to choose from. :)

I AM NOT A RUNNER. I have a crazy friend in my ward, that is a runner. We started doing casual morning jogs (mainly for social reasons). She said that she was doing a half marathon in October and asked if I wanted to do it with her. NO. WAY. She began her training process and I just happened to be running along side her. We spent hours together, and I guess that's how she convinced me! So, I signed up for the Provo Halloween Half. It was super fun... until mile 10. That's when I wanted to fall over dead. I had run 10 miles before, so I didn't think 13 was going to be that much worse - oh boy was I WRONG! Needless to say, I was THE HAPPIEST person alive when I saw that FINISH LINE! My time: 2hrs 1 min. I swore I'd never do it again, I was sore for DAYS!!! It's something that I'm really glad I did, because never in a million years would I have thought me, "miss I-hate-to-run" would ever do a half marathon. There's another one coming up... we'll see...

Waiting for the buses - that was the worst part - we were freezing. And yes - I'm supposed to look that ridiculous. I was and 80's exercise chick.

Fall Fun

I am the worst blogger ever. So here is a lot of the fun we had this fall:Taylee and I skating. We had a blast and she did really well! I was so proud of her! She hasn't loved it as much since the first time but we'll work on her!
LOVE IT.

Daddy went fishing and Taylee and I reaped the rewards. She loves her dad and fishing and eating the fish after fishing!
Matson and I went to a BYU football game with some friends of ours. It was a blast! We felt 22 again! :)

Had a few trips to Wyoming - Taylee loves trying on Nanny's glasses.
I went boating for the FIRST time ever! I know that's shocking to most of you but I'm much more of a land (four wheeling, hiking) type than a water girl. But I had a BLAST! I haven't laughed that hard since I was like 13!!! I'm now open to buying a boat - Matsons thrilled!
Taylee went through the Cornbelly's maze A MILLION TIMES!! And this was her face every time. She thought it was the coolest thing ever. I enjoyed watching her.

We're going to the zoo zoo zoo!!

We finally took Talyee to the zoo! She loved every minute of it. Before going she said she most wanted to see owls and goats. Luckily, we got to see owls, goats and a whole lot more! Taylee got to go with her best friend Coop Jones too. Such a fun day!

Taylee LOVED the gorillas. When she was up against the glass a HUGE "daddy" gorilla came up and put his hand against hers. I thought she'd run, instead she smiled sweetly and said "hi!"
