Semi-finalists!
A few weeks ago, we entered a contest, sponsored by Pyrex, to become "America's Hottest Culinary Couple". We made a short video demonstrating our cooking prowess, our synergy in the kitchen, and our entertaining advice. We had a blast filming, making and eating chicken enchiladas, and compiling the video. Last Thursday, we received the good news that we are one of 10 semi-finalists in the competition!! (we know this probably comes as no surprise to anyone reading this because you know first-hand of our hottness :).
Below is the only photograph taken in the filming process (it was taken on accident when the camera was in photo, not video mode...hence, the blank stare on my face. But don't dwell on my silly face, behold the delicious spread in the foreground!)

So we need your help! Starting on Monday, the 10 videos will be posted and America votes for their favorite couple! The two couples receiving the most votes will head to NYC to battle in the final face-off for the ultimate title!!
You can vote once per day, per e-mail address. Go to www.AmericasHottestCulinaryCouple.com and help us win by voting for us!

Sweet P
...we just couldn't resist! Miss Penelope is our newest foster doggie! She is 5 years old and much more calm than our last 4 puppies! As you can see, she has a beautiful white coat and she is just as sweet as can be (that's why her nickname is Sweet P)!
She loves to be pet more than anything, but she is not a big fan of looking at the camera for pictures...we'll work on that!

Halloweentime
I'd like to make an accusation...
Miss Scarlett...
With the candlestick...
In the conservatory...
WRONG!
It was Colonel Mustard with the rope in the lounge!

Pamela's Wedding
A few weeks ago, my good friend, Pam got married! It was a beautiful wedding and it was wonderful to visit with friends!
The gorgeous table settings:

The dinner was scruptious...and yes, we drank all of the sodas you see in the corner of the picture...it was a wild night!
Pam's wedding cake made out of cupcakes...it was absolutely amazing!
Here I am with the blushing bride! She looked incredible!!

And with Pam's maid-of-honor, best friend, and sister, Kim. She looked gorgeous also!
It was a lovely evening of love, dinner, friends, fun, and dancing!
Matt next to his place tag...I've never been to a wedding with a seating arrangement before...I feel so sophisticated! I probably should have picked up my glass with my pinky extended :)

Good old American Fun!
A few weeks ago our dream of BBQ ownership came true...we waited just long enough to find the one we wanted reduced in price at one of our favorite exclusive, member-only shopping facilities!
I thought this BBQ would turn Matt into Bobby Flay, the king of the grill, but I think it turned him into a ninja...
So we christened our grill with the most scrumptious burgers our tastebuds have ever encountered!
And sweet little Nicholas watched and took notes of the grilling process...we're training him to cook, so one day he can be our little chef, too!
When we brought the BBQ home from the store, we took it straight to the backyard while Nicholas was inside. When he came out and saw it, he walked to the other side of the yard, staring at it, and then barked like crazy at it! I'm glad he is keeping us safe from the invasion of the BBQ grills!

After our amazing BBQ meal, we headed to play softball at the church...and like every good softball player, we needed uniforms. Behold the glory (by the way, the uniforms come complete with matching shorts and knee-high socks!) before the game...you can't see, but we've got our game faces on!
