Scene: Middle of the Night. One upset 4 year old and one very tired Mama.
"Mama, I had a bad dream. Sol was trying to eat an acorn off my pizza and he oot* my arm! And Uncle Zach and Ashlee were on the big couch and they didn't stop him."
And that's why Max may cry the next time he sees Zach and Ashlee.
*Oot (like boot) is the past-er tense of ate for those who don't know.
It's the name you want to touch...
...but you mustn't touch

Mr. Ricky's Done Enough
Max can't get enough of this video. He loves to recreate it with his toy guitar. I love it when we are entertained by the same things.

What A Geek I Am
Why do I love the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics so much? The cultural program, the delegations marching in, the torch lighting. I love it all.
I don't watch sports regularly but these events are destination viewing for me. Thank goodness for TiVo. I can wait until Max is in bed and I don't have to watch commercials. I can tell you I will not be watching Jerry Seinfeld's new show. But I didn't need to see a commercial to tell you that. But I did hear that Ricky Gervais was going to be on it. Maybe I'll have to make an exception for that one.
Love the song "Hallelujah" that k.d. lang sang. But it's a Leonard Cohen song, so how can you not love it?
Oh, there are a ton of sirens going up Main Street right now to the high school. Payson Wrestling won the 4A State Championship again. Good on 'em.
But seriously? Slam Poetry?

Me, looking back at the bag he's holding: "There's goldfish in the bag."
Max: "They're under the crackers."
Me, reaching back to shake the bag: "There."
Two year olds are AWESOME!!!
Good luck with Max at school today, Miss Coco.
* The diaper was just wet. But I will need to wash his sheet and mattress pad when we get home.

Why I Haven't Blogged In Forever
There's this:
And this:
My haircut needing boy. Erik says if he were a Bad News Bear his name would be Booker O'Malley.
He's on the go all the time. Keeps us busy.
And this:
And this:
I keep meaning to post but have just been too busy/tired/behind to work myself up to doing it. Work has been busy with an India accounting project. Conference calls aren't fun when trying to work around 12 hour time differences. Lots of early mornings or late nights.
Erik & I took turns being sick for a month or so. Max was sick in March. Three trips to the Dr in 5 weeks and lots of office & pharmacy co-pays later he's back to normal.
Now if we could just get him to stop stripping out of his clothes and taking his dirty diaper off in his crib we would be set.
