Civil Rights Tour of MAZON’s Hunger Museum
January 19th 9am PT 12pm ET — Join MAZON this MLK day for a one-hour tour offering a civil rights lens to the story of hunger in MAZON's flagship Hunger Museum.

Led by Naama Haviv, MAZON's Vice President of Community Engagement, this tour explores the social, cultural, and political activism of the 1960’s and 1970’s that reframed access to food as fundamental to racial and gender equality. This tour will take place over the course of an hour, with time for questions and discussion. This tour is free and open to the greater MAZON community.

Join the SNAP Day of Action: Hunger Can’t Wait
October 28, 2025 — More than 40 million Americans could wake up on November 1 with no way to buy food. Parents, children, veterans, and seniors could face a hunger crisis. All because of the reckless government shutdown. SNAP benefits for November are in danger of not being issued.

That's why on Tuesday, October 28, we're joining advocates across the country for a SNAP Day of Action. We're calling on our leaders to use every tool they have to protect families from hunger and keep benefits flowing.

Jewish Community, MAZON Supporters Explore Jewish Impact on Hollywood History
May 30, 2025 — The history of modern-day Hollywood film production has deep Jewish roots, a story told through the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures' exhibition Hollywoodland: Jewish Founders and the Making of a Movie Capital.

Recently, the museum hosted MAZON, its supporters, and members of the Jewish community to celebrate this rich history as well as the continued impact of Jewish people on the fabric of Los Angeles.

MAZON Joins Jewish Groups for Day of Action in Response to Immoral Cuts to Basic Needs
July 17, 2025 — MAZON has joined the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) and the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies for a nationwide day of action in response to the immoral reconciliation budget passed by Congress earlier this month.

A Moral Response to an Immoral Budget: Jewish Day of Action will engage advocates across the country — just as congressional representatives and senators are back in their districts on recess — in a joint effort to condemn the reconciliation budget. The day of action will take place on August 5, 2025 online and in-person across the country.

Hold Congress Accountable for Cuts to SNAP

Despite rising food prices and financial uncertainty plaguing low-income American families, President Trump and Republicans in both chambers of Congress enacted a deeply problematic law, including an estimated $187 billion cut from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Join MAZON in urging your Members of Congress to safeguard the interests of American families by reversing this destructive policy, influencing its implementation, and rejecting further cuts to SNAP and other basic needs programs.

Urge USDA to Reinstate Annual Household Food Security Report

Just months after Congress passed sweeping budget cuts to basic needs programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) canceled its annual Household Food Security report. By cancelling what has historically been one of the most important and reliable metrics we have, they are hiding the reality of America’s hunger crisis at the same time they are worsening it.

Please join MAZON in urging your Members of Congress to demand that USDA reinstate this report and ensure transparency, accountability, and responsible governance.
