Sweet Boy of Mine

I fell over just now and it hurt my sacrum. I lay on the ground not really injured but not feeling great. Tiernan came over and said:
"Are you ok Mommy?"


"No, sweetie. I'm hurt"


"That's ok. I can help you." 


He gives me a big kiss & hug as I get back up again.


Then he spoke pure wisdom:


"It's ok fall down"


I love my son. More than I can ever express.

Tender Moments

I love being a mom to Tiernan. He steals my heart every single day. Today as he was eating lunch he asked "Kiss, Kiss!" So I went to lean in and he said "Come here, come here" in this little whisper as he reached out with both hands to bring me closer to his little face. As I leaned over the cold Mac & Cheese, he placed his hands on both sides of my face and my son kissed my face, finishing with the sweetest smile. He repeated this "Come Here, Come here" beckoning three more times. Each time as I leaned over his tray, I couldn't help but love my child more with each cheesy hand on my face, each kiss and each smile.

He is such a precious blessing from God. I'm so glad that He has given me the chance to raise Tiernan. I can think of no greater gift this Christmas season...

Memory to Remember

I have fallen in love with this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtOvBOTyX00. Not because it is part of the new Twilight movie coming out but because I LOVE this singer and the words are just beautiful.

It was playing again as I was getting Tiernan down from dinner. I grabbed him and waltzed around the house to the rest of the song. The smile on his face was precious. I will remember that for the rest of my life, as I sang to him "I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more..." He just smiled and danced with me for a few minutes without wanting down or wanting anything other than mommy.
