Horse Rides

Jetlag is tough! Especially going all the way across the world.  Every minute we are awake, we want to be asleep. Our kids take naps and want to sleep the rest of the day. So, we have to wake them up and keep them busy. The second day we were in America, we had Chrystal and Grandpa Tony give the kids horseback rides to help them stay awake. It worked great for Wendy and Maxwell. But, Kyle was a mess this time! Poor little guy. He did better on the horse when I was on with him. Maxwell would have stayed on the horse all day!

Big boy

Maxwell is very busy! He is quite motivated to stand and climb and walk. He is definitely my most physical nine month old! Daddy gave him a great bedtime outfit too!

Safari World Memorial Day

Quiz: What are these camels doing? Any guesses on who took this picture? And thinks it's HILARIOUS?

Maxwell was pretty excited about the giraffes.

Wendy wanted to sit in the comfort of the stroller and feed the giraffe. She was pretty excited about it.

Fatima Shop

One of my favorite finds in Thailand is Fatima Shop. The Good Shepherd Fatima Center in Bangkok employs women in poverty, teaches them skills, educates them, and changes lives. They also house and educate teenage girls who are victims of abuse and fight against human trafficking, among other causes. These women make fabulous quiet books, smocked dresses, soft toys, and reversible dolls. I was hoping for some new books for the airplane and have several friends who were interested in their goods. So we invited some ladies who run part of the Fatima shop to our house. We had a good turnout and loved having these sweet ladies in our home. It's nice to get high quality hand sewn goods while helping others at the same time!

Brothers

These two boys are such good buddies! Kyle loves to drag Maxwell's high chair right next to his. He usually gives Maxwell some of his food or takes some of Maxwell's food. Maxwell thinks Kyle is hilarious and loves watching his big brother!

Elder Anderson

Elder Neal A. Anderson, one of the twelve Apostles came to visit and speak to the people in Thailand today. After the meeting, he asked for the children and youth to line up by the wall so he could shake all of their hands on his way out. What a fabulous experience!
