Long time no see!!

So it has obviously been FOREVER since I have made a blog post! To tell you the truth I have just been caught up in everything else ...between work, remodeling, the weather, being sick...excuses excuses I know. Madison is definately growing into her own. She is no longer a "baby" (She will tell you so herself). She is full of personality and is quite the little clown. She is still a daddy's girl by all means.  Santa was very good to her and to all of our family.  She was all into opening presents this year and was ready for more.  This was a big change from last year since she didn't want much to do with presents, pictures, or santa for that matter.  I am hoping to get her into church this coming year so she will be able to understand the true meaning of Christmas.

We are still in steady remodeling mode.  The house is almost complete except for little things like trim and painting. Right now our main concern is finishing and adding onto our garage/hangout area.  Our house is a little small to have friends over and stay quiet while the baby is sleeping so we are trying to create a bar/den area to host.

My hubby was nice enough to give me a new camera for Christmas so I will try to upload some new pics soon!  Hope all is well!

Update-

So I know I have been MIA from this blog for a while now.  To tell you the truth I have not uploaded any pictures from my camera because I have been taking most of them with my phone.  I have not figured out how to send them directly to my blog page so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

For the past week our entire household has been struck with some sort of mega virus.  First Ryan had it (who never gets sick mind you).  Then Madison started on Tuesday, then me Thursday, and Madison is still sick to this day(which is the following Tuesday).  At first is was severe getting sick for hours on end, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.  Now Madison has what seems like an upper respiratory infection with fevers, horrible cough, congestion, and body aches.  I have been out of work pretty much for a week.  I have been so torn because I hate missing so much work, but Madison can not go to daycare with a fever and being as miserable as she is.  It just breaks my heart seeing her so down, not wanting to do anything besides lay on my lap saying "mommy rub my tummy" or "mommy my belly hurts, my neck hurts" or simply just crying.

I was seriously to tears today (my 4th day missed work and 7 days of Madison sick) when the dog started throwing up. All over the couch and my clean laundry. WHAT IS GOING ON ???  I don't know what else to do to make my child feel better.  It is one of the worst feelings in the world.  I just hope and pray that her medicine will stay down, and start working.

On a lighter note, we are getting ready for the warmer weather here.  Our boat will soon come out of hiding and back in the river. I am so ready for the sun and the water.  Last summer most of our time was spent on it and I loved every minute of it.  It is the perfect family and friends getaway that is minutes from home.  We are very blessed to be so close the the water.  It is one thing I could never move away from.

I hope everyone is doing well and hope to hear from you soon!!

Go away winter!!!

So, here on the eastern shore we have been pounded by recurrent snow storms!  I have not had this many days off of work from snow (and home with my daughter) since I was out on maternity leave!  It has been nice being home-but Madison has also been testing me on a daily basis.  She is a handful but we are getting through it!!  I tried to take her outside in the snow but of course that didn't last too long since she could not stand up on her own two feet for for than five minutes.  Ryan has been working around the clock.  There have been numerous power outages and there have been many days and nights he has funtioned on only a couple hours of sleep if any at all.  I have been doing my best to step up my game and keep things running normally around here.  I am truly grateful for my husband's dedication-but man does it just plain well . . .for lack of better words . . .suck!!!   I will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to transfer them from my phone to the computer.  I recently upgraded to one of the new droid "smartphones" . . .well I don't feel too smart with this thing. It is totally confusing trying to get it figured out . . .but I'm working on it so some good pics to come!! Hope everyone is staying warm and safe in these conditions!! I'm ready for warm weather, sunshine, and NO SNOW!!!
