Our consensus includes:

1) Dissolution of the EthereumPoW (ETHW) Core development team to achieve full autonomy.
2) Upholding PoW as the underlying consensus for the chain and maintaining it over the long term.
3) Embracing decentralized governance to become a deity-less public chain.

The existing servers will be temporarily transferred to OneDao for transitional maintenance until long-term ecological partners are identified.

Since the inception of EthereumPoW, some excellent NFT projects have emerged in the EthereumPoW ecosystem. Through these projects, we have witnessed the enormous potential of EthereumPoW. Here are some well-known “cross-chain swaps” that can make your life easier. As the name suggested, they can “cross and swap” your other tokens from other chains DIRECTLY to $ethw on the EthereumPoW network.

You don’t need to worry about what stablecoin to use and what bridge to use, simply getting $ethw is all you need on EthereumPoW.

In this article, I’ll demonstrate how to mine ETHW in the most user-friendly environment, an old Windows PC with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU. Just to show that anyone CAN be a miner.

Step 0.

Mining ETHW requires a GPU with at least 5GB RAM and a computer that’s connected to the internet.

Step 1.

For Nvidia GPU, people recommend T-Rex, a mining software.

Open their website https://trex-miner.com/ and click download and download the Windows version.

Step 2.

Unzip the downloaded ZIP file to a folder.

Step 3.

Inside the folder, choose any file that starts with “ETH-”. Right-click on it, and select “edit”. The file will be opened in Notepad. I picked ETH-ethermine file.

Step 4.

Then we need to modify the content. There are 3 places.

“stratum+tcp://xxxxxxxx” is the address of a mining pool server. Here we use EthwMine (https://ethwmine.com/). Open the website, and under “Help” you can find a list of servers.

Pick whichever is closer to you, and replace the original server address with it.

The string after “-u” should be replaced with your own wallet address. That’s where you will get the payouts.

“-w rig0” is to specify which GPU you want to use. Remove it so the software will try to use all your GPUs.

The final command will look like this —

Save the file and close it.

Step 5.

Double-click the file you just changed and you are now mining ETHW. Leave the window open or minimized. The payouts will be sent to your address.

Close the window if you want to exit. And you can always relaunch it whenever you want.

You may also change the file name to “ETHW-ethwmine”, just to reflect what’s inside the file.

Step 6.

You can check your mining status at — https://ethwmine.com/accounts/<add your wallet address here>.

Here we use MetaMask as an example.

Step 1.

Install MetaMask, either the browser plugin or the phone app, and create an account. Remember: do not leak your mnemonic phrases or private key to anyone.

Step 2.

Open MetaMask. Click on the dropdown menu at the top. And click the “Add Network” button at the bottom of the menu.

Step 3.

In the new window opened, fill in the following info. Ignore any warning and click “Save”.

Network Name: ETHW-mainnet

New RPC URL: https://mainnet.ethereumpow.org

Chain ID: 10001

Currency Symbol: ETHW

Block Explorer URL(Optional): https://mainnet.ethwscan.com

Step 4.

(If you cannot connect to the network, try to use or change VPN.)

Now your ETHW token balance should be automatically shown in your wallet. So looks like this wallet held 0.012 ETH at the snapshot.

Step 5.

Other wallets should be similar, just find the place to “Add a Network” and fill in the ETHW mainnet info.

About airdrop

With the ETHW hard fork, any address that had ETH on the Ethereum mainnet at the snapshot time will have the equivalent number of ETHW on the EthereumPoW mainnet.

About snapshot

The snapshot was taken at the Merge block. The exact time at — https://etherscan.io/block/15537393

ETHW Core had confirmed on Sep 16th that the information reported by a security company is not a replay attack against ETHW, but an attack against a bridge contract vulnerability. We have contacted the bridge in every way and informed them of the risks. A typical example is as follows.

The above data shows that the original data of the two TXs are completely different, so this is an attack that exploits the contract vulnerability of the bridge.

ETHW itself has enforced EIP-155, and there is no replay attack from ETHPoS and to ETHPoS, which ETHW Core’s security engineers have planned in advance.
