EXOTIC ROADMAP 2022

We want to start off with our official 2022 Roadmap.

Our team has come together internally to set both short- and long-term goals for our platform.

One of our most significant updates is our new tokens. Exotic Markets is continuously launching various tokens on the platform, such as: SOL, SRM, ETH, RAY, FTT. Dual Currency Note Products are Structured Products where investors get to choose their crypto asset, expected price of this asset, yield percentage and the time horizon they want to invest for.

Investors benefit from knowing their yield upfront at the start of the product, and their returns are calculated depending on whether the market price of the asset is above or below the expected price chosen by the investor.

DCN products perform best for a short-term investment horizon and can potentially provide very attractive returns to investors.

Dual Investment provides users a chance to buy crypto at a lower price or sell crypto at a higher price in the future. It also allows users to earn high-interest yield during the subscription period no matter the market direction. Many users trade Dual Investment products as an alternative to spot trading.

Dual Currency Note (DCN) Upside
The deposit is in one of the crypto supported except stablecoin (USDC).

For Upside product,

In simple terms, this means that if the Settlement Price is above (up) the Strike, the product is “exercised”. The product is “exercised” if Settlement Price is greater than Strike, and the product is “not exercised” if Settlement Price is less than or equal to Target Price.

As an investor, you are aiming for your product to not be exercised. So you earn the yield without any change to your invested capital.

EXAMPLE:
You as the investor want to invest your Solana crypto assets for a time period of 14 days. The market price of SOL at the product start date is 100. It is your market view that the price will not go beyond 120 in the next two weeks. We call this the strike price of your DCN product. So you decide to invest an amount of 25 SOLANA and earn a 50% APY on your investment.

Two weeks later, on the product end date, there are two possible outcomes. Either the price is above 120 OR the price is below 120. In both outcomes, you will earn your 50% APY.

(1) Scenario A is called IN THE MONEY: your product was exercised. As the price moved against your market view, your settlement price will be lower than by a ratio of strike/settle price.

(2) Scenario B is called OUT of the MONEY: your product was not exercised. Your expected market view became reality, so you have gained.

This product is most suitable for investors who would like to keep HODLing their crypto position (except USDC) for at least the duration of the product and do not believe in a big market move up.

Indeed, in case of the spot value (quoted in USD) of the crypto finishing below the strike price, they collect a yield/premium in the same crypto asset and their full deposit back and naturally growth their wealth.

In case of the spot finishing above the strike price, the investor will get his crypto asset converted into USDC at the strike level, then converted back to the crypto deposited. The balance received will be less than the one deposited but will have enjoyed the crypto appreciation till the strike. He will still receive the yield/premium for the risk taken.

Dual Currency Note (DCN) Downside
The deposit is in stablecoin (USDC).

For Downside product,

In simple terms, this means that if the Settlement Price is below (down) the Strike , the product is “exercised”. The product is “exercised” if Settlement Price is less than Strike, and the product is “not exercised” if Settlement Price is greater than or equal to Strike.

As an investor, you are aiming for your product to not be exercised. So you earn the yield without any change to your invested capital.

EXAMPLE:

You as the investor want to invest your USDC crypto assets for a time period of 14 days. The market price of SOL at the product start date is 100. It is your market view that the price will not fall below 80 in the next two weeks. We call this the strike price of your downside product. (Strike = 80). So you decide to invest an amount of 2000 USDC and earn a 50% APY on your investment.

Two weeks later, on the product end date, there are two possible outcomes. Either the price is above 80 OR the price is below 80. In both outcomes, you will earn your 50% APY .

(1) Scenario A is called OUT OF THE MONEY: Your product was not exercised, you have gained.

(2) Scenario B is called IN THE MONEY: Your product has been exercised because the price moved against your market view.

This product is most suitable for investors who would like to keep HODLing their stablecoin position (USDC) for at least the duration of the product and do not believe in a big market move down in at least one of the crypto pair we are linking the DCN to.

Indeed, in case of the spot value (quoted in USD) of the crypto finishing above the strike price, they collect a yield/premium in USDC and their full deposit back and naturally growth their wealth.

In case of the spot finishing below the strike price, the investor will get his crypto asset converted into the crypto asset linked at the strike level, then sold back for USDC at the settlement price (lower than the strike price). The balance received will be less than the one deposited. The investor will still receive the yield/premium for the risk taken.

Brand new MainNet Interface: Exotic’s MainNet has adapted and improved since our Devnet phase as we persistently take on our users feedback. This time, our platform will be implementing an entirely new and much more user-friendly UX/UI.

New products: Exotic prides in flexibility and we are planning on regularly releasing 30+ products on our MainNet. This will include Dual Investments, Put Worst-Offs in a variety of Yields and currencies. More SOL Native Tokens will be available as well.

Live Assistant: Our Exotic assistant is one of our most promised functions! It will be launched towards September to help beginner investors select which investment is best for them depending on yield, tenor, etc. amongst our many products. Exotic is here to help you navigate our offer: flexibility with ease for everybody, novice and experts

Innovative vault system: Additionally to our new products, Exotic is launching vaults with an unprecedented system, and we will be disclosing more information closer to our launch date.

We have powered through the crypto crash and successfully launched MainNet, one of our biggest achievements to date! The platform has sped up to enjoy Solana’s speed and we are continuing to grow with partnerships, (Dialect, Zeta, etc) as well as locally through our communities.

Exotic will also continue to produce educational content and focus on expanding our language specific communities. We have almost finished our security audit with Halborn Securities and we will be releasing our report by the end of the month.
