Humans need breaks, bots don’t. Humans need sleep, bots don’t. Humans get sick, while bots? Exactly. This is the idea behind our latest trading tool which plans to lower energy consumption, improve trading security and — perhaps most importantly — give traders their lives back.

Our cryptocurrency platform is preparing to release the decentralized Virtual Private Server to let bots take the reins from human traders when they are away from the keyboard or offline. This can be used when traders are sleeping, or on holiday, or unwell, or simply in need of a break. No matter the time — day or night — the user’s own server will make automatic trades based on user bot settings. Furthermore, our new service is expected to help those new to cryptocurrency trading or hoping to cut down on their energy costs. How? Let’s break it down.

The Virtual Private Server, which is set for release by the end of the month, will keep traders on top of the ever-changing world of cryptocurrency. Seconds, minutes and hours can be valuable trading time in the notoriously fickle sector of cryptocurrency investment, but traders cannot possibly be available for every second, minute or hour of the day. They need to sleep, or go to work, or take vacations. This is where artificial assistance and VPS is here to help. Our platform allows investors to preset their trading preferences, upload them to the VPS and let the bot handle the rest. The VPS solution will allow people to shut down their computer and sleep soundly with the knowledge that they’re in reliable, automated hands.

At Gimmer we aim to provide the perfect solution for beginner traders and full-time investors alike. From those who are still trying to grasp the crypto world to others who spend double-digit hours every day obsessing over their portfolio, the Virtual Private Server service offers freedom: freedom to invest without fear, freedom to turn off the computer every once in a while, freedom to take that holiday and control trades away from the screen. The VPS service is also designed with security in mind as it is decentralized and provides a dedicated server with a dedicated IP.

The goal is to allow access to your strategies from wherever you are, to not miss any trading opportunities and at the same time to offer more opportunities to enjoy life away from a machine.

The energy conservation element of this service should also be noted. There is no doubt that keeping your computer running 24/7 is costly. Decentralized solutions like this will enable traders to shut down their computer or laptop and still perform their trades — which is great news for the environment and the trader’s back pocket. Further than this, the bot allows people without a computer or without electricity to continue to access cryptocurrency trading once having initiated a bot on their own VPS. This could have implications for developing nations and lower socioeconomic groups who want to get involved with the industry and trading but have limited means.

This is what we are all about: lowering the barriers to entry and making cryptocurrency and crypto trading available for all. The VPS service is something the community wants and needs. The service is set to launch by the end of September and will be based on a subscription payment model. Monthly payment will be made with the Gimmer token and fixed to a dollar value. The monthly cost is to be announced. For more information on the platform and further updates, follow our website,Discord and Facebook page.

It has opened up new monetary possibilities for those who are interested in investing, without necessarily being held hostage by financial institutions.

Among the various roles in the financial market there are analysts and stock trading specialists, known as “traders”. One of the roles of a trader is to follow and analyze the market and make the decision to buy and sell stocks and bonds, thus creating their strategies. This is intensive and hard work, which involves analyzing large amounts of information in order to act and receive the best result.

Unlike the stock exchange, crypto-currencies do not have schedules where transactions can be made. Trading is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so it quickly becomes difficult to manage. That’s where the bots come in.

What is a bot?

The bot is an automated algorithm that, in general, performs the same buying and selling activity of a trader, however, using predefined metrics in its operations.

Unlike a human being, a bot can work 24 hours a day — including checking at extremely short intervals — following pre-established rules.

In our next article we will teach you how to use Gimmer and all its features to create and use crypto bots to work with your coins and put into practice everything we have presented here!

Where and how to start in the digital currency market

Continuing our immersion into this digital world of possibilities, now that you are familiar with crypto coins, we will teach you how to buy and sell them as well as how to store them safely.

Before starting to explain the process and the items you need, I would like to make you aware that: a transaction in any blockchain network can not be reversed. So, always double check all the data before proceeding, and be careful not to lose your information or send your crypto coins to the wrong wallet address, there is no way to reverse it!

So, to get started in the crypto world, it is important that you have a digital wallet or, as we call it, which is a wallet specific for the cryptocurrency you have chosen. The wallet is the place where you will store your crypto.

Where to store my crypto coins?

You will keep them in a wallet. In general, a wallet is nothing more than an address or an account in a blockchain network.

Usually, the questions at the moment are:

“Can I buy more than one cryptocurrency?”

Yes

“Can I put them all in the same wallet?”

No

You may be wondering why and I’ll try to explain it in a simple way.

Each blockchain network (BTC, ETH, LTC, etc.) has its own wallet, where you store your cryptocurrency, as these networks are “still” not interconnected with each other. Therefore you need to have a wallet specific for each type of crypto purchase :(.

However, there are some companies that have created Universal Wallets and applications to solve this problem:

Ethos — https://www.ethos.io/

Eidoo — https://eidoo.io/

Exodus — https://www.exodus.io/

Cryptonator — https://www.cryptonator.com/

Komodo — https://komodoplatform.com/

Jax — https://jaxx.io/

Coinnomi — https://coinomi.com/

Mycellium — https://wallet.mycelium.com/

Among others

They solve this issue by unifying the storage of several types of cryptocurrencies in one place. “How wonderful!”

These applications basically create a portfolio for you on each of the networks they support by integrating security and access to all of them. During this process regardless of which wallet or application you choose, the most important thing to note is:

The address of your wallets;

Use strong passwords on all of them;

Never lose these passwords;

Store your private keys “Private Key” in a safe place.

It is this information that will allow you to restore your wallet, along with your stored currency and the transactions that you have carried out previously.

Exchanges

Now that you know where to store your crypto coins, we’ll teach you how and where to buy them so that you can begin your journey.

Exchanges plays a key role in this process, as they facilitate the buying and selling of cryptocurrencies. They are the platforms where you make the exchange, they allow you to exchange digital currency into fiat currency and vice versa. There is also another way of acquiring certain crypto coins and it’s called mining, but that’s a theme for another article.

The buying process on an Exchange is:

You choose an Exchange that you like. Here is a link with a list of Exchanges. — https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/all/

Register an account. This process can be simple or complex depending on the chosen exchange. This registration process, quite often, requires more information from you in order to avoid fraud, money laundering, and other illegal practices, making the market safer.

At this point, the Exchange has created a wallet for you for each of the listed blockchain networks and connected them to your personal account, similar to those applications mentioned above. When you make an exchange on the platform it will show up in your funds in the exchange wallet for that specific currency.

Once your account has been created and approved, the next step is to transfer money from your bank account to the Exchange. Ready?! You can buy your crypto coins now.

Once you have acquired the crypto that you want, unless you plan to trade them in the near future, we recommend that you immediately transfer them to your personal wallet that you own the private key to. You don’t have access to any private keys of the exchange wallets.

If you for some reason want to sell your crypto coins and redeem the value in fiat currency, it is on the exchanges that this transaction is carried out as well. Make sure before you do this that all your bank details are correctly entered in your exchange account for the transfer to be made without any issues.

From now on you can use the addresses of your personal wallets or exchanges to deposit, receive and trade your crypto.

How do I move my coins?

This is the part that I like the most! This is the moment that Gimmer enters the picture. The crypto bots of our platform put at your disposal many resources to give the necessary movement for your currencies. With Gimmer you will be able to take full advantage of the cryptocurrency market even with little or no knowledge.

In the next article I will explain how the Crypto Bot works and how they can help you in your day to day life.

We have received many questions regarding the Crypto world, what it is and how it works. We have created this series of articles to help answer and clarify some of them.

Introduction

After discussing Gimmer and its features with lots of people, we realized that many still have doubts about the cryptocurrency market and how everything works. So we decided it would be a good idea to create this series of articles to help those who don’t really know that much about cryptocurrencies and who also don’t know where to start. However, if you already know a lot about the subject, you might still learn something new, so we invite everyone to read this series of articles.

The questions we were asked the most are: “I wanted to invest in cryptocurrencies, where do I start?”, “How does this blockchain work?”, “Can I buy using a Bitcoin?”, “What is a bot and how does it work? “. In order to answer these and other questions, we need to start by explaining a bit about the cryptocurrencies and how they work. How did it start and how is this movement revolutionizing our century.

First of all, Bitcoin is not the only existing crypto-currency, although it was the pioneer that broke all frontiers, enabling the creation and evolution of this new market. There are currently numerous other crypto-coins available on the market (100+ with huge asset movements), such as Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Zcash, Monero, Iota, among many others.

What are cryptocurrencies?

A cryptocurrency is a type of digital decentralized currency. The method used to verify transactions in most crypto-coins is based on blockchain technology. This technology is used to ensure encryption and the validity of transactions as well as the creation of new assets.

Cryptocurrencies have not stopped evolving, and neither have their technologies and applications. We believe that they are the technological basis for a lot of future developments in the international economy.

In many countries, digital coins are considered to be what is called a security and can not be used to buy or sell products and services. But from the developments that we have been following, it is only a matter of time before this changes since many countries have already begun to accept them and establish regulations for their use.

But what is blockchain?

Blockchain is a type of ledger that records all the transactions that occur on the servers and computers where it is installed and distributes these transactions to all nodes in the network, ensuring that everyone has the same information. This way, all the transactions of the network are authenticated and their movements are registered and can be followed by everyone.

As already mentioned, there are currently several networks with their respective currencies that were developed based on blockchain technology. Here is a website where you can view the top cryptocurrencies and find out more information about them.

CoinMarketCap — https://coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/

One of these networks, which has stood out a lot, is Ethereum. This decentralized platform is able to execute something called smart contracts and it allows for the creation of decentralized applications on top of it.

At Gimmer, we use the Ethereum network as the basis of our development. Our entire application is based on it’s technology in addition to many other innovative technologies, all helping facilitate and automate your crypto-bot’s strategic buying and selling.

That’s it for the first part of the series. We hope this article has helped answer some basic questions about cryptocurrencies. Now, the next step is to teach you how to buy your crypto coins. See you in part two of the series.

First of all, we would once again like to extend a big thank you to everyone supporting Gimmer. The past few weeks have been exciting to be a Gimmer investor, with the recent beta release and the official release getting closer. We’ve noticed how happy our customers/investors have been in their testing of the beta and checking the results. It has been a great team experience working alongside our community of testers.

We also appreciate that many other Gimmer fans are looking forward to contributing to the token sale and start testing the beta. However, after much deliberation, we have come to the decision of cancelling our plans on holding a new ICO, the reasons for this being explained in detail below:

Postpone sale or keep the current token supply?

Our main reason for deciding to cancel the token sale is centered around time.

We’ve been working hard to fix bugs with our beta version while simultaneously making all the necessary adjustments to hold a new token sale.

The first token sale has been paused for almost four months now, and we were only recently able to reach the point of being able to provide a new token sale date. There were a lot essential and time-consuming adjustments that needed to be made on the legal side. These adjustments are taking more time than we had anticipated, and although everything is already underway, we were forced to decide between postponing or canceling the new ICO. So, why did we choose the latter?

First, since we’ve partnered with Kick Ventures, we already have Legal Advisement, Marketing, Business Advisement and more covered. We don’t need to raise additional funds to cover these aspects.

We have enough reserves from the previous token sale to keep the progress of Gimmer going for one and a half year (due to the operational costs becoming way lower, now that the main team resides in Brazil).

In addition to this, we will be able to rely on our “Business Reserves” in GMR’s in the future.

With these things in mind, we concluded that it would be better to cancel the new token sale rather than postponing it. We do understand that this is disappointing news to those who planned to contribute in the sale, but luckily, everyone who wants to get ahold of GMR will be able to purchase the tokens from exchanges very soon.

What will happen with GMR’s now?

You might be wondering, what will be happening now? How many tokens will be available in total? The answers to these questions and more are found in the info below:

Now that we’ve announced the ICO cancellation, the GMR tokens will become unlocked and transferable from the 8th of June.

Max Supply will now be around 21,500,000 tokens (instead of the previously planned 45,000,000 tokens).

Bounty participants will receive their tokens from the 15th of June.

Business reserves, team and advisory bonuses will be unlocked automatically in portions during a vesting period of 2 years.

If you haven’t had the chance to buy any tokens, you’ll be able to purchase GMR from exchanges very soon and begin using the Gimmer [BETA] right away.

Next Steps

Moving forward, we’ll be focusing all our efforts on the Gimmer platform, cleaning up bugs and following our roadmap development. As we canceled the sale, we now have more time to focus our efforts on perfecting the official release that will be released in the end of June.

Also, our team will be working together in an office provided by Kick Ventures, making communication easier and ensuring quicker iterations.

We are expecting to hit the first exchanges in the following weeks. We’ll be using EtherDelta as a starting point for those that immediately want to start trading GMR or purchase tokens to get started with the Gimmer Beta.

Thanks to everyone that have supported us so far and who continue to do so, we want to ensure you all that big things are coming!

Best regards,
Gimmer Team

Compiled by the Gimmer team, this guide helps you with purchasing Ether (ETH), which you can use to contribute to the upcoming Gimmer token sale as well as other promising projects.

As you have been crawling through the upcoming Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), we bet you have found some great projects. However, as you may know, most token sales — such as Gimmer — accept only ETH for contributions. Therefore, you will need to get a hold of some Ether before you can back a token project.

We’re sure many of you already know how to purchase ETH. For those of you who need some guidance with this process or just want to refresh your knowledge, stay with us and let’s dive in!

The easiest way that you can buy ETH is from an exchange. There are plenty of service providers out there. However, we have selected the ones we recommend:

Coinbase: Being one of the most popular crypto exchanges, Coinbase lets you buy ETH in the matter of a few minutes. The payment methods vary by country/region. However, the company accepts credit/debit card payments and bank transfers from most customers.

Kraken: This exchange may lack a good user experience, however, Kraken provides swift deposits and withdrawals along with competitive prices. You have to use your bank account to deposit money to your Kraken account.

Bitfinex: If you like to check the price charts often, Bitfinex is your choice. Similar fees and deposit/withdrawal times like Kraken, Bitfinex offers a good overall experience to its customers. The easiest way to fund your account is by your bank account.

Let’s see how to buy ETH from Coinbase with a credit/debit card as it is the most convenient and fastest option.

First, create an account at Coinbase. This will take a few minutes, but it is a necessary step.

After creating and verifying your new account, head to the “Buy/Sell” tab, which you can find in the top bar.

Choose “Buy” and select Ethereum from the list of cryptocurrencies.

If you don’t have a payment method, click “Add a new account” and “Credit/Debit card” thereafter, and fill in the form with your billing and credit/debit card details.

When you have your payment method ready, select the amount of ETH you want to purchase and click “But Ethereum Instantly”.

And, you are done! We want to advise you on one last step. Exchange wallets are not the safest way to store your ETH (as you are not in hold of your private keys), so we recommend you to create another wallet where you are in possession of your private keys. If you have a hardware wallet, such as the Ledger Nano S or Trezor, use that as that’s the most secure way to store your cryptos. Software ( both desktop and mobile) wallets are also great for storing ETH. However, you must choose an ERC-20 wallet to be able to participate in token sales. For smartphones, we recommend the Trust Wallet while you can use MetaMask for computers (using only your browser). After downloading any of the mobile/desktop wallets, be sure to send your ETH from your exchange (Coinbase) account to your newly created desktop/mobile wallet!

That’s all you need to know about purchasing ETH! Just remember to always contribute to ICOs from an ERC-20 wallet and not from an exchange or you may risk losing your investment. We hope you liked our guide and that you will make use of it when contributing to the Gimmer Token Sale, which will take place between June 1, 2018 and June 9, 2018 with bonuses up to 20% offered!

After a successful Alpha phase in 2017 and more than 23,828 downloads of the Gimmer demo, Gimmer’s Beta is launching today with a dedicated Beta Contest following it soon!

Hey Gimmer fans, great news ahead! We’ve got excellent reviews from you regarding the demo version of Gimmer. Your awesome feedback helped us decide on taking the next step, which will be us launching the Gimmer Beta and a Contest dedicated to it!

This means Gimmer can step up its game from Alpha to Beta. We hope our Beta will get the same — or better — feedback as our Alpha. Back in early 2017, when Gimmer was really new, we held an Alpha with a super low but very effective marketing budget of $380. At the end of the testing phase, Gimmer had 800 active users who created 7,170 trading strategies and completed 12,893 backtests.

Gimmer launches its official Beta today, May 15th, 2018. So buckle up, get your best trading strategies ready: you will need them today!

Please note: the Gimmer Beta is only available for holders of GMR tokens and for those who have participated in the first token sale. No Gimmer Tokens? No problem, if you buy GMR during our Token Sale (starting from June 1st), you will be able to participate in the Gimmer Beta!

ATTENTION: As the Beta is not the complete version of Gimmer, it may contain bugs, which will be fixed in the final version. Because of this, we recommend you to use less funds than you normally do for trading. By using the Gimmer Beta DApp, you accept to take the risks of the current, experimental version of the platform.

We are also launching a Beta Contest soon where all token holders can participate. We will share more information on this in the upcoming days!

Gimmer is holding a Token Sale from June 1, 2018 to June 9, 2018 with bonuses up to 20% offered to early contributors.
