And yet, that’s exactly what the industry does. Casual gaming CPIs on iOS averaged nearly $5 between March 2023 and March 2024, with Android only slightly lower.

At the same time, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency cut off deterministic targeting — only about 35% of users opt in. The result is simple: developers are paying more to acquire players who churn faster than ever.

Players feel disposable, bombarded with ads instead of rewarded for play. Developers feel trapped, paying platforms just to lose players faster. In 2024, iOS in-app ads generated roughly $150B. Almost none of that went back to players or the games themselves.

We’re excited to announce “Beat It!”, a new feature that lets you test your goal-scoring skills against your friends.

Here’s how “Beat It” works:

This is an invitation-based challenge where you compete directly against friends on a private leaderboard. The challenge runs for 24 hours in an arena randomly selected from a pool of 5 different difficulty tiers. While each event is limited to 5 people total, you can join up to 2 different challenges at once if two separate friends invite you.

To ensure the rewards are unlocked, you need at least 4 people to participate. Your success is rewarded in two ways: you earn Personal Rewards based purely on the total number of goals you score, and you earn Competitive Rewards based on your final rank against your friends on the challenge leaderboard.
