Introducing full node incentive program

LanaCoin full nodes are already present and operational in most of the world countries.

Current node presence can be verified on the official LanaCoin blockexplorer network/geo location tab.

LanaCoin nodes are currently present in Germany, Slovenia,Poland, USA, UK, Russia, Canada, Italy, Morocc, China, Korea, Netherlands, Romains, France, Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, Australia, Spain, Latvia, Norway, Bulgaria, Denmark and Greece.

What exactly is a LanaCoin full node?

Full node is a desktop computer/laptop/server/single board computer running a desktop or console lanacoin core client and with a full copy of the blockchain stored on its hard drive.

LanaCoin wallet communicates with other nodes/p2p clients over tcp communication port 7506. This enables new client wallet instalations to perform the initial sychronization of LanaCoin blockchain.

Estimated time for first sychronization at current blockheight and blockchain size is aprox 2hours on a stable internet connection.

At the time of writing Lanacoin blockchain size is little over 300MB in size. With more and more usage of the network the transaction pool will grow while LanaCoin blocks will become larger. (current blocksize limit for LanaCoin blocks is 4MB).

Register you LANA full node and get rewarded. All registered nodes are added to a cloud monitoring system and node uptime is checked in intervals. Incentives are send on monthy basics (first week of the active month for previous month uptime) for nodes with at least 99.3% monthly uptime.
Nodes in rare or never seen countries are rewarded with extra 7% .

Requirements:
- static/fixed public IP address (You can find out your IP here https://www.whatismyip.com/

- tcp port 7506 (lanacoin p2p port) needs to be NAT-ed at your firewall/router and software firewall exception needs to be added for tcp port 7506

- node needs to be online/operational at least 99,3% of month (uptime is monitored by an external monitoring service)

Restrictions:
-registering a node/ip running on public wifi hotspots, library, college dorm, public schools…. is not allowed and will not be credited and monitored and will be excluded from the node incentive program. IP address must be assigned by your ISP to you or your company.

-usage of free/trial cloud vps servers, free amazon vps or other free trial vps servers will not be accepted
-the ip address of the node you submit will be validated to avoid port spoofing and service emulation

Incentives will be calculated on monthly basic. The reward pool will be pulled from the developent fund that is powered by the 3% pool fee set at the official LanaCoin mining pool. “LhQ3TFB7X1Z6fw4GafnHeA2i1gh3i3HXWq”

A small fairly launched open source crypto currency was born 7.maj 2016.

LanaCoin is one of the first personalized cryptocurrencies ever created.

LanaCoin is an open source creation from a slovenian systems administrator Jure.

Launched as a birthday present for his daughters 10th birthday, LanaCoin genesis block was mined at unix time of Lanas 10th birthday, making it a pioneering project of its kind. The birthday numbers 7.5.2016 can be found in almost every corner of the blockchain parameters.

Lana is not the first such blockchain. The first of its kind is actually NevaCoin.

LanaCoin a hybrid proof of work / proof of stake open blockchain.

Proof of work miners compete for PoW block rewards while LanaCoin owners compete for proof of stake blocks by staking their LANAs. At time of writing LANAs circulating supply is 951M LANAs out of 7,506 B that will ever be created.

LanaCoin development has been slow and steady while developers have made no initial promises or posted a roadmap full of uncompleted deadlines.

Based on the posts from BitcoinTalk forum, twitter, facebook and telegram one can clearly learn that the reasons for this type of slow and steady development exist and Jure points out that the ico world has changed the nature of blockchain startups a lot, since a lot of statups get millions of $ in funding but almost all fail to deliver their product or service statet in the whitepaper and refuses to use the same approach with his own blockchain projects.

Lana is now slowly waking up with a release of an electrum based mobile wallet called CryptoWallet.si , featuring native support for LANA, ARCO, NEVA, TAJ AND NETKO. Links to wallet source code and GooglePlay.

Bitcoin association Slovenia had its yearly picnic „CryptoPiknik2018“ on the 15th of september and all the guests at the picnic had the opportunity to tryout the new light mobile wallet amongs the first. Guests that installed the wallet also had the option to draw a randomly topped up LanaCoin paperwallet and sweep the private keys of the paperwallet with the new wallet private key sweep feature built into the wallet. Paper wallets where randomly topped up from 10 to 10.000 LANAs. Since the paper wallets where not marked with the ammounts they hold, there is no way of knowing if the 10.000 was even claimed. Jure promises to giveaway the leftover paperwallets at the next seocial event that comes around. Meanwhile you can get your first LANAs with no strings attached on the LanaCoin facebook group where the active giveaway is taking place.

While mobile wallet is an essential to have its for shure not the only thing being rolled out in the Q4 2018. Lana is proud to be the 6th blockchain based asset to be announced and listed on the newest cryptocurrency exchange launched in late july 2018 named Tokens.net. Tokens was launched by one of the pioneers of the cryptocurrency space and cofounder of Bitstamp, Damian Merlak.

Available trading pairs are still begin discussed and the listing of LANA is set to take place by the end of september.
