No you only need $REIGN and a Metamask wallet to play Hacker Assault. We may add bonuses for holding NFTs when playing it in the future.

It depends on the market and the team for those. We will test online first then eventually hold offline fan events if we see enough interest. We are expanding heavily into SEA and also Taiwan right now.

We’re an NFT game world and we will eventually publish additional games, so $REIGN will be used in many products. We have people from Tencent, NetEase, EA, Epic and Ubisoft and have published games in the past, so we know which types work for who. We will also design primarily as a live service, so you can expect many updates from us as we expand.

Q17. There are other NFT games in the cryptocurrency market; how will you respond to other investors and make it appear that Reign of Terror must be prioritized? And what is the unique thing you can share with the newcomers?

We have many collabs set with bluechip NFT projects on multiple chains, and since we’re multichain, we believe our IP will attract many people who want to hold eventual bluechip NFT sets. We also are partnering up with traditional game publishers, so people will also have offline utility with their NFTs depending on the region.

So allow us to recap the current state of Orochi and how you can join the fun in 2023.

WELCOME TO REIGN OF TERROR

Reign of Terror is an epic cyberpunk adventure that takes place across multiple games. As you progress through the stories of each title under the RoT IP, you will come to learn all about the happenings of the Royal City of Orochi. As you help fight against Emperor Orshu’s tyrannical regime, you will meet and interact with many of the players, big and small, that inhabit this futuristic, dystopian world. With your help, and that of the agents you command, the city, and possibly even the planet, might just have a chance at obtaining true liberty.

Reign of Terror: Awakening

Currently, there are three games set in the RoT universe. The first is Reign of Terror: Awakening. This tile conquest game offers players the chance to earn huge prizes by working together to open limited time vaults. The true challenge of Awakening is that players are rewarded both as individuals and as a group. Meaning that the more you contribute, the better prizes you get as an individual. But only by sharing your intel with others can you hope to unlock the best prizes. Some prizes even carry over to other games in the RoT universe. In order to play Awakening, players can purchase/or trade for a Reign of Terror Genesis NFT, Game Access Pass, or Utility Pass. Reign of Terror: Uprising

Reign of Terror: Uprising is the second game set in the world of RoT. This auto-battler tasks players with creating squads of agents and sending them out on perilous missions against waves of enemies and bosses. Players can develop their agents by leveling them up and fusing them into higher levels of rarity. In order to play Uprising, players can purchase Agent Tickets. Later on, there will also be a free to play version of the game.

Full Game

Finally, later in 2023, players will be able to start Reign of Terror. This is the biggest and most hands-on game set in the RoT universe. In this tactical turn-based RPG, players will be able to establish strongholds, recruit and develop squads of agents, and complete challenging story-based missions. Players can develop their agents both as playable characters and as individuals. Not only can you level up and fuse them together, but you can also equip them with gear pieces that can also be developed and fused for better stats independently of the agents using them. This game features both PvE and PvP elements, as well as some cooperative play features. Like with Awakening and Uprising, Reign of Terror is a continuously evolving game that will periodically add new missions, agents, gear, and gameplay modes. And it’s free to play from launch.

Q1: Just to share with the community, could you introduce your team Red Door Digital and more about Reign of Terror?

Red Door Digital is the team behind Reign of Terror, a unique cyberpunk SRPG that features turn-based tactical combat in an online persistent world. Q2: The question most of our community has always been wondering! Token listings we should keep a lookout on and would you like to highlight anything about the tokenomics portion?

There are 2 billion tokens in total. The public allocation is around 1.5%. And the vesting schedule is 33% TGE, 33% Second Month, 34% Third Month.

We have received offers from some of the T1.5 and T2 CEXs and are also chatting with the T1s (not Coinbase or Binance until later). We expect to onboard two of the T1 CEXs later this month and then lead into TGE around mid March.

Q3: I remember there are two games before the full game released. One is called Awakening and the other is called Uprising. Do share about the game and how it works with us!

Sure! Regarding Awakening, it’s an on-chain community board game with both co-op and PvP. We’ve released the first phase of Awakening last year after the GENESIS NFT drop. Players can send their GENESIS NFTs to stoty based missions. After finishing the missions, they will get some in-game items which they will be able to use in the Uprising game and full game later on.

For the one we are launching soon in February, it’s about completing missions and take over the grid, solving a vault puzzle, and getting big rewards.

Players will each receive rewards based on their level of contribution to that map (number and types of squares completed). We encourage you to discuss with other players on our Discord and solve the puzzle together. Before TGE, players can use their Cores to attempt missions, complete missions faster or scout for additional rewards. After TGE, peopple can use $ROT to do all that.

About Uprising, It’s a strategic squad-based RPG on your mobile browser. Uprising v1 is a strategic, squad-based RPG with autobattle built using our game engine (3D engine and development platform) which can be played in your mobile device’s browser and supports Web3 wallets. Players won’t need to have an Apple or Google App Store account to play.

Uprising v1 will release with 5 classes and 10 agents each with their own stats and skills and four rarities and the ability to ascend them to increase their rarity and power. Uprising v1 will be released in March.

Uprising v2 will have our user account management system (RDD Accounts) to help ensure a smooth onboarding process for new free-to-play users, by reducing blockchain friction and the update will have additional systems like crafting. Uprising v2 will be released in April.

Q4: Wow, the game sounds really cool. How do we get these game access pass and use them? Any benefits to playing the game?

Those who participate in the launchpad sale will receive a special Game Access Pass represented by a PFP unique to the launchpad (1 out of 3 different designs per launchpad), giving them access to RoT: Awakening v2. These Game Access Pass NFTs can also be traded on secondary marketplaces.

Yes, after TGE, people can choose to convert the Cores that they earn from the Awakening game to $ROT token, and they will be able to use $ROT directly in the awakening game to speed up the mission progress, or they can use $ROT to scout and have a chance to win a grand prize.

After TGE, we will also launch the Uprising game. Players will be able to use the in-game items they earned from the Awakening game in the Uprising game.

Q6: Is this game available for ios and google play?

The game is not available on Google or App Store yet. We are building it on our own engine which can support the game on web browser with the Unreal Engine quality. So people don’t need to download it but can enjoy it on the web browser. You can also play it on our mobile browser later.

Q7:Do you have more powerful updates in the future?

Absolutely! We plan to integrate other blockchains in the near future, and we’re also working on incorporating PvP gameplay into the game down the line. Q8: One more question if you please. Your developer team is international and really huge. Are they home-based workers?

Red Door Digital is a global team, with most of our artists based in Singapore, developers in Taipei, and offices in Taiwan and Paris. We also have team members in Irvine, California, contributing to the development of Reign of Terror from around the world.

Q9: NFT gaming is currently adopted with low player base due to relatively expensive initial cost for a new player to take part in the game. So what strategies is your implementing to attract a large group of newcomers? What are your next steps to build a thriving community?

We’re building out a user account management system so we can onboard F2P players without them having to install a phantom or metamask (for example) wallet. We also have a partnership with Razer Gold to onboard more users through their billing channel.

To celebrate the debut of our $ROT launchpad sale, Red Door Digital will be giving away Game Access Passes for Reign of Terror: Awakening to everyone who participates in the public sale on either StarLaunch or Solanium. These Game Access Passes have special designs limited to the specific launchpad platform you choose to buy from. Each platform will offer you a Game Access Pass in one of three designs.

In the first phase of Awakening, players send their PFP NFT agents on missions around Orochi city to find intel and gain rewards that can be used in the Vault Challenge Update as well as the full game once it’s released.

In the soon-to-be-released Vault Challenge Update, players will need at least one NFT Genesis PFP OR Game Access Pass (through Solanium or StarLaunch). Once you have one of those, you can begin competing on one of the community maps set in Orochi by sending your PFPs on missions.

To begin a mission, you’ll need to use Intel or Cores as well as one of your Genesis or Launchpad PFPs.

At this point, you can activate a Speedup (complete the mission faster) or Scout (chance for a reward multiplier) while your PFPs are completing the mission. After you complete it, you’ll receive some rewards as well as a clue to the code to unlock that map’s vault.

To gain more knowledge and rewards, you can target a different square to run its mission. Each square has different rewards and difficulty levels (time it takes to complete). These all both give you knowledge, rewards and a piece of the vault prize!

Feel free to share some clues in our Discord with others working on the same map to open the vault, as everyone who participates in that map will earn part of the vault prize. The more squares you complete in the map, the larger your vault prize portion will be.

Preview

In the first phase of Reign of Terror: Awakening, players sent agents on missions to gather intel about the goings on in Orochi. More specifically, intel about the strengths and weaknesses of Orshu’s corrupt regime. Soon, we’ll be releasing a major update to Awakening that adds new challenges and rewards. In this update, that intel will be put to good use by both returning and new players. During the community’s search for information about the city, a stash of secret Imperial vaults was discovered. That means that players now have the opportunity to steal some of the Emperor’s valuables right from under his nose. The only problem is that the vaults are sealed, and the locking mechanism uses a nearly impenetrable dynamic locking mechanism. In this new update, players will work together to unseal these vaults and steal the hidden riches inside.

Vault Challenge

While the first phase of Awakening was a solo experience, this next phase will see players working together as a collective to accomplish their goals. Each of the vaults is locked with a mutating code that consists of a string of both letters and numbers. The codes change every eight days. That means you only have seven days after a vault has reset its security password to break into it. But don’t worry, there will be plenty of code breaking events to allow the community multiple chances to obtain these new rewards.

Players will have to search for portions of the vault passwords hidden throughout Orochi’s many ISO towers. Each tower contains only a small piece of the password for a specific vault. Each vault’s password corresponds to a set of ISO towers located in a different section of Orochi. It will be up to players to choose a section of Orochi to pursue, find and hack the ISO towers, extract pieces of the passwords, and then use that information to hack into the vault. And remember, players will only have seven days to crack into any singular vault.

Players will need to choose one of several districts in Orochi in each challenge period. The number of players that can participate in a given district will be limited on a first come first served basis. So it’s imperative that you keep track of the event times and claim one of the spots as soon as possible. Each district will have a grid-based map.

Each of the blocks in that grid will potentially contain a piece of the password for that district’s corresponding vault. To hunt down these pieces, players will have to send out agents to extract data from the ISO tower located at that grid space. The object of the game is for players to collectively explore enough of the grid in their chosen district for that seven-day vault period so that together they can figure out what the password for that section is, before time runs out.

There are some crucial details that players should know before starting this new gameplay. For instance, vaults will not open automatically. Even if 100% of grid spaces are completed in a given district, the corresponding vault will not open until one of the players in that district has used the discovered password intel and managed to crack the code. All discovered password intel will be made available to every player participating in a given district. Note that if a single player manages to open the vault before the password changes, all players who helped explore that district during the event period will randomly gain one of the vault’s rewards.

There are limits that players will need to overcome to unlock vaults. For starters, just like with the first phase of Awakening, GENESIS Pass or Launchpad Game Access Pass are required to complete grid missions. Each Pass can only embark on one mission at a time. Players who own multiple Passes can send them out into different grid missions concurrently. Completion of each mission on the grid will net rewards to the player whose NFT completed it. Another obstacle in the process is that there’s a personal cost to the player every time they attempt to open a vault. This means that you need to wait until enough password intel has been collected in order to confidently attempt to open them.

There are more details about the next phase of Reign of Terror: Awakening worth learning to succeed at these new challenges. But we don’t want to spoil the surprise. It’s up to you to work together and figure out the most effective strategies to access the vaults. Once the puzzle is solved, a grand prize will be given to players who participate on the map. Each player on a specific map will each receive rewards based on their level of contribution (number and types of squares completed on the map).
