Before we fully delve into what Mids are and why we, along with the Maya Protocol, have decided to create them, we would like to welcome new members from the Maya community to our Shrimp stinky bay. So, what’s it all about?

Originally, it was supposed to be a small collection celebrating the integration of the Maya Protocol and Kujira Network. However, like always in the Shrimp World, we wanted to bring some more significant added value — something that would bring the benefits of this integration closer to both user bases.

Mids, or if you like, Middies, are cute pyramids that will guide you through the world of Kujira and Maya Protocol integration. Every wallet holding at least one Mids NFT becomes eligible to participate in educational games with rewards in the form of fresh CACAO.

How will the quests proceed?

Over the coming weeks, we will gradually release small tasks via our Twitter and Medium articles, that will teach you, for example, how to create a wallet, perform a transaction, and work with Maya Protocol applications. We aim to show more that the world of Kujira is not isolated from other blockchains. Thanks to the Maya Protocol, you can trade your Kujira, for example, with native Bitcoin. That’s amazing, isn’t it?

Each completed task will be rewarded with a dose of CACAO. In general, it will work by holding at least one Mids NFT in your wallet. The method of evaluating task completion will be announced during the events. If you hold multiple NFTs, don’t worry, in addition to the beautiful images, there’s something extra waiting for you.

Yes, during the duration of these events, we will also randomly draw Lucky Traits! Lucky Traits are our unique way of distributing tokens. From the NFT collection, we will randomly select a trait, and all holders of these NFTs receive an airdrop directly into their wallet. With Mids, we will work only with items that are held in their hands, and even empty hands will be eligible.

We will randomly draw a Lucky Trait, and every wallet that contains it will receive a share from the pot prize. If you own multiple winning NFTs, you will, of course, receive a reward for each one of them. So, the more Mids you have, the higher your chances of winning.

Due to concerns about bots minting out, we’ve decided to create a list of 500 addresses that will have the opportunity to mint one NFT before public minting. These addresses include Shrimp Gang holders and members of the Maya and Kujira communities who signed up through the questionnaire we shared on social media.

Traditionally, we’re launching the collection on our in-house marketplace, Stargaze. Whitelist mint starts on Thursday at 16:00 UTC and will last until Friday 16:00 UTC. Then, we’ll start public minting. The total supply will be 1000 NFTs, and each will cost 5 USK. The secondary market will open on Friday at 6:00 PM UTC.

Greetings to all our shrimps! It’s time to take a look at the upcoming plans, and most importantly, the changes we have reached regarding DAO and KUCCI. Prepare to get rugged again!

No KUCCI DAO (Rug #1)

Let’s start with the most important matter. In the past month, we have been intensely addressing the structure of Shrimp Club and its transformation into a DAO. This was supposed to be associated with the KUCCI token.

After lengthy debates, analyses, and discussions with some of the main investors of Shrimp Club, we have come to the conclusion that a full transition of Shrimp Club to DAO is not suitable for us. We considered efficiency, utility, and benefits for you and concluded that we will practically remain in the current project management setup, allowing the community to participate in some of the decisions. We will not create a full-fledged DAO.

Our project is still young and small, and the current management is sufficiently effective. At the same time, we believe that the community trusts our decision-making, and we continue to remain highly transparent, both in terms of planning and treasury.

Therefore, Shrimp Club will continue to operate as an authoritative group under the leadership of DD and LL, with significant decisions open to community input. Our main goal is to continue our work, make it better, and bring more value to you. We will also continue to work on other projects that will benefit Shrimp Club and its members.

Shrimp Club DAO (Rug #2)

Nevertheless, we are still making it happen, at last partly. This partial DAO will operate on the DAODAO platform, and its share asset will be Shrimp Avatars (SA). You can already stake these.

The DAO has its own small treasury. We are currently working on a new economy model that would connect SG and SA more. Redirecting the royalties into DAO treasury is one of the first steps. So yeah, the DAO treasury will have a regular income from trading Shrimp NFTs.

In A Nutshell

Shrimp Club DAO is controlling the DAO’s treasury and decides on the proposals.

LL & DD are controlling the development of Shrimp Club, managing the Shrimp Fund and distributing rewards and Lucky Traits. However they will let the DAO decide matters they think should be decided by the community.

What happens to KUCCI? (Rug #3)

Although we will not create KUCCI DAO, we have decided to create the $KUCCI token anyway. Currently, it will primarily function as an alternative currency for Shrimp Club, or possibly as payment for physical items, giveaways, Lucky Traits, and the like. It will be a purely speculative memecoin and an experiment, as originally intended. Its distribution will take place through an airdrop. We will see, how the community will deal with such asset.

Mantas Have Taken Over Spacetime

It’s been approximately half a year since we started working on a collection that would become the flagship NFT project of MantaDAO. The task was simple: create a collection that embodies the Shrimps style and looks good as a profile picture. The execution, however, was challenging. After months of creation and hard work, we finally arrived at these creatures — half cute, half eerie Mantas — that decided to break all the rules of the universe.

Manta Squad has been such a success that, in addition to destabilizing Stargaze servers, it also broke records in trading volumes on the marketplace. Within the first 3 days, it ranked as the 13th most successful collection on Stargaze since the beginning of time, with a volume of 3,910,927 $STARS, approximately $46,551.80 (at the time of writing this article). Mantas are currently being traded for more than triple their original value, and jaw-dropping deals have taken place. For instance, this Mike Donalds Manta was purchased for an unbelievable 500k $STARS!

Even though Mantas currently serve primarily as profile pictures, don’t believe that’s where it ends. With its flawless MantaSwap, MantaDAO brings significant potential and innovations that will make Mantas an integral part of it all. We, too, can’t wait to see what Mike and his team will cook up for us. The only thing we know for sure is that it smells good.

We Finally Got Paid

And with the success of the collection, come other rewards. More than half of the earnings have contributed to providing liquidity in STARS on the Kujira Network. According to the agreement, we have also finally been rewarded for our year-long and diligent work. We take this as confirmation from all of you that our efforts make sense.

For all of this, we want to express our gratitude to Mike from MantaDAO and his entire team, the Stargaze team, ourselves because we are rightfully proud of this success, and most importantly, to all the crazy Mantaniacs and Shrimptards in our Kujira space! We’ve proven that we can do it, and hopefully, nothing can stop our army.

We would also like to announce that we are currently working on additional collaborations with very interesting projects. Since we don’t want to reveal too many details without the consent of our partners, we will introduce them to you at least in hints:

Kucci — What We’ve All Been Waiting For, But None of Us Know What It Is

Finally, we can provide you with at least a rough outline of what KUCCI will be, what purpose it will serve, and how impactful it will be for the Shrimp Club community, meaning for you.

As we grow, we recognize that our activity and community management must evolve as well. That’s why we’ve decided to utilize KUCCI as a unique tool that will shift the power over the fate of the Shrimp Club into the hands of all who support it. Each of us is an integral part of what we’re building here, and we believe that creating a DAO is the right path.

KUCCI will be the token of our DAO, which will have full control over the Shrimp Fund, transforming it into the Kucci Treasury. The DAO will decide on financing, further collaborations, and practically all activities that we currently undertake independently.

We considered other options, such as using Shrimp Gang OG or Shrimp Avatars NFTs as DAO assets. However, in the end, a standalone token seemed like the best choice. Since you are holders of Shrimp OG and SA, stay bullish! We want you to be the significant personalities in the DAO, and that’s why owners of our NFTs will be the priority recipients of $KUCCI. Details regarding its distribution will be clarified later, as they are not fully clear at the moment.

We plan to release $KUCCI later this year, and we will provide more details on its distribution in the next Shrimp Sauce, dedicated to Kucci DAO.

Hey gang! Long time no Medium article. Let’s skip the introduction and dive into what’s new that happened in past days! Ready?

We had a group call on Telegram where we discussed the future of the Shrimp Gang. Lower Lows streamed the creation of a sticker, and we chatted and had a great time. We decided to have these discussions more frequently, probably using Twitter Spaces as a platform. Don’t forget to join us next time!

The important news is that we have decided to change our name to Shrimp Club. The new name better represents the nature of our community and encompasses both our current and future projects. Shrimp Gang will remain the name of our original NFT collection. As a result, we will also be changing the name of our Twitter account, and its new handle is now @ShrimpClubNFT.

Additionally, we discussed possible collaborations and a new project that we would like to create within our community. It would be the first community-driven project, involving the members themselves in both its creation and profit-sharing. The idea is still in its early stages, and we haven’t developed the full concept yet. We will discuss everything in the upcoming Twitter Spaces sessions.

We are comming to BOW

In case you missed it, we announced in Shrimp Sauce #1 that we’d be using Kujira’s BOW as a fresh source of income for the fund. And we’re happy to report that we’ve taken a big step towards making that happen! As of Saturday, we’ve completed the unstaking period for 38,000 $STARS and 730 $KUJI, which we’ll be using to purchase a variety of assets to pair with KUJI and USK on BOW.

But that’s not all! In the interest of transparency, we’ve decided to split the fund between two different wallets. One will be used for staking, while the other will be dedicated to BOW. LL will take care of the staking wallet keys, while DD will handle the BOW wallet keys. This not only ensures transparency between ourselves, but also for you, our beloved Shrimps 🦐.
