An Early Look At Game Design!

We are entering the middle of December, Spredict fam! And, we are one step closer to launching on Abstract. Let’s look at what the team worked on this week.

Tech (Yoan): The tech team continued the process of prepping the dapp for release on Abstract. Currently, the team anticipates the dapp being released on the Abstract testnet by mid-January, with the $SPI token launch taking place when the chain goes live for swappable tokens. This pegs Spredict at roughly four weeks until the transition process really gets moving. And, of course, all of this is based on Abstract availability as we move into the first quarter of 2025. Also going on at the same time is the development of the $SPI smart contract, architecture for various games (MMA rolling out soon), and continued work on the staking platform.

Systems and Operations (Max): Max worked on updating the white paper to fully align with $SPI launch plans (give it a read if you haven’t yet . . . https://spredict.gitbook.io/whitepaper-v1/) and, working with Fred, finalized the Spredict pitch deck. Fred and Max met with a number of investing groups ahead of launch, and Max had a call with members of the Abstract team. The feedback from the team was positive, with them loving the app and the approach, and offering to assist with marketing as Spredict launches the dapp and gets closer to the launch of $SPI. Max also continued work on the MMA and crypto price prediction elements of the dapp. We are getting closer to having three game categories available fam!

Comms and Connections (Fred): Fred had an opportunity to connect with one of two companies serving as a fundraising entity on Abstract, and working with Max, completed the pre-funding forms that will allow for a deeper dive into whether a partnership will be possible. Fred also had the chance to connect with a number of members of projects launching on Abstract who are also creating sports-themed products that might be good partners with Spredict. The team also put in place weekly sprint meetings, short check-in calls to keep everyone on the same page. With launch getting closer and closer, it is imperative that all aspects of Spredict are running seamlessly. Fred and Max also did some strategizing on launch timelines and dapp development.

There you have it fam. A very busy week and many more busy weeks to come. Thanks for continuing to support Spredict. We can’t wait for what’s in store!

Here we are, with launch in the very near future, and now just a number of weeks until we are ready to go with $SPI. Are you ready? Let’s take a look at what the team worked on this week.

Tech (Yoan): This week the tech team spent the majority of time prepping the Dapp to transition over to Abstract. We don’t anticipate much in the way of shifts/changes to usage and operation; that said, the mechanics of the shift have to be worked out to make sure we can adjust everything over to the new change with minimal challenges. In addition, the architecture for MMA is primarily complete, and the model for crypto price prediction is being finalized. The next few months are going to be awesome for implementing the Spredict Pass and scaling our ecosystem.

Systems and Operations (Max): Max finalized the pitch deck for usage with potential partners and continued development of the front end with the graphic design team. In addition, Max and Fred discussed launch mechanics and systems, and examined potential collaborations across the Abstract space and beyond. Max will be speaking with one of the Abstract team leads in the coming week and the team is holding a number of conversations with potential investors over the course of the next few days.

Comms and Connections (Fred): As we get closer to launch, Fred has been sharing details on the $SPI Abstract launch with potential partner projects and lounges, and has been involved in conversations with project leads for potential collaborations across Abstract. Fred worked with Max to refine the pitch deck and also updated the white paper based on current predictions for tokenomics. Fred and Max also discussed reach out ahead of the launch of $SPI.

It was another productive week for Spredict fam, and we can’t wait to provide everyone with specific launch details and timelines. As more information is shared from the Abstract team about when the chain will go live, we will update our launch timeframe for everyone to see. We can’t wait to launch!

It’s been a great week filled with great connections and opportunities. Let’s take a look at what this past week brought to Spredict!

Tech (Yoan): On the tech side of the house, the team focused on validating the move to Abstract which will come in two steps. The first step will be moving the Spredict dapp over to the Abstract testnet, likely by mid-December. Since the testnet is currently running, this move can be made once the team is ready. Use of the dapp will remain free, with players being able to access Spredict games as they did previously. The second step will be launching $SPI on Abstract, likely in January once the Abstract chain goes live. Along with this work, development continues on the Spredict staking platform and architecture for a number of different game modes. It is anticipated that MMA pools will open for predictions in mid-December, followed by crypto price prediction in January.

Systems and Operations (Max): Max has spent the week working on updating the Spredict pitch deck, working on dapp design with the graphic designer, and creating the mechanics for the upcoming games to be released. Max continued work on the launch schedule, working with Yoan on release of the Spredict dapp on Abstract, and finalizing tokenomics. And, Max and Fred have planned elements of marketing ahead of the launch of $SPI on Abstract at the start of 2025. Max worked with Fred on partnership development as well. Max also prepped to join the W3GP team for their pre-race Spaces, and Spredict may even be highlighted during the conversation!

Comms and Connections (Fred): Fred spent the week engaged in partnership development. Along with a growing relationship with Abstract friends, Prospect Sports, and automotive-focused projects such as DRVN Labo, Fred and Max joined the Abstract ecosystem and Pukecast for a Spaces focused on projects developing on the green chain. Fred also began the process of restarting the “Why So Bullish?” AMAs, with one possibly beginning as early as this week. Fred provided editing and development support for the Spredict pitch deck and also worked on the weekly Medium post.

A great week, huh fam? This week starts December, and there is lots in store for us over the next few weeks. Thanks to everyone for the constant support and commitment to what we are building with Spredict!

We are beyond excited to announce that $SPI will be launching on Abstract. We can’t wait to be the predictors platform on the consumer chain! Now that we’ve made our decision, the rest, as they say, is history! Let’s take a look at what the team worked on this week.

Tech (Yoan): This week, the tech team began aligning the smart contract for launching on Abstract. The next few weeks will be focused on considering the technical details for the chain. This review will help us to become prepared for all the benefits of the chain as we launch. Along with preparing for launch, the tech team has been working on the architecture for our next two games, focused on MMA and crypto price prediction. Our ecosystem is expanding rapidly!

Systems and Operations (Max): With the decision made to move to Abstract, Max has been working on elements of design for the dapp with the design team. These elements are being built with Abstract in mind as the team prepares for launch. In addition, Max is updating Spredict documents to be best prepared to align with the Abstract chain and ecosystem. Max has also been connecting with projects and project leads ahead of launch.

Comms and Connections (Fred): Fred spent the week working with Max on editing of the dapp and planning out strategic connections with other projects. This included connecting with teams, joining VCs, and planning out longer-term partnerships. Fred also updated the socials and wrote the weekly Medium ahead of the $SPI launch.

Next steps are to continue to prep for Abstract launch and continue to build relationships ahead of Abstract going live. The Abstract chain will allow everyone to access what we are building on Spredict. Whether Web3 maxi or still living on Web2, all predictive gaming lovers will soon be able to find their home playing Spredict on Abstract! We can’t wait to get you going!

Bearish?

It’s the middle of November, Spredictors, and we have been making great progress in a number of areas while we wait to see what chain we will end up launching on. Let’s take a look at what the team worked on this week.

Tech (Yoan): The vast majority of tech work this week focused on determining whether what we hope to do with the $SPI contract makes sense functionally to do on Abstract. The more that the team explores the Abstract chain, the clearer it seems that it would be an amazing chain for Sperdict. Along with prepping the smart contract, development for the remaining F1 Grand Prix races is taking place, with the next being the Las Vegas race happening next weekend.

Systems and Operations (Max): Max spent time this week continuing to work through the documentation on the Abstract chain and creating the build out for the Spredict crypto price prediction element (see above image). This element has been a staple of the Spredict ecosystem since it’s initial launch as a test run back in April 2023, so it is nice to see the architecture being created. Once live, Spredictors will be able to make predictions on crypto prices for weekly and monthly periods. In addition, lounges and projects will be able to work with Spredict to create prediction pools on their own tokens or tokens of interest.

Comms and Connections (Fred): Fred and Max did some planning for launch and engaged in conversation about launch chain and opportunities for project and lounge partnership. Fred spoke with a potential project partner who is looking to launch on Abstract and is exploring sports and fantasy sports in a complementary way to Spredict. The goal is to create mutually beneficial opportunities that will support the growth of both projects moving forward. Stay tuned for a potential AMA with this project coming up over the next week! Fred also updated the weekly Medium, engaged with the Spredict socials, and updated socials information.

With each passing week Spredict gets closer to the launch of $SPI. We thank everyone for their patience as we make intentional and strategic decisions that will benefit everyone!

What a great start to the month of November! Let’s look at what the team worked on this week.

Tech (Yoan): This week the tech team continued work on smart contract development and the creation of the staking portal. The team also put together a special event pool for the US election, showcasing how versatile the Spredict platform can be. Also in the works? Design of MMA/UFC pools and continued work towards custom contract development.

Systems and Operations (Max): Max spent much of the week diving into details on both Base and Abstract as potential L2s to launch on. The team has spent a lot of time thinking critically about launch chains, and as the market heats up, the need for Spredict to be on an L2 becomes ever more apparent. What is Abstract? Well, it is a chain being launched by the creators and devs of the Pudgy Penguins NFT line. They were one of the few NFT brands to truly bridge the Web 3 and Web 2 gap and that is exactly what they hope to do with Abstract. Spredict would benefit from this bridging as one of our goals is to bring on-chain prediction to the masses. More to come!

Comms and Connections (Fred): From a communications standpoint, the team has been continuing to build relationships with projects who have a vested interest in sports prediction. In addition, the team is working to explore partnering with projects who are approaching sports prediction through a different lens, niche, or on a different chain. The team has also been sharing updates with private groups and lounges ahead of TGE. Fred put together the weekly Medium and continued to operate and monitor social activity.

As we get closer to TGE, we look forward to continuing to provide you all with updates and details ahead of the launch of $SPI. We can’t wait to go live with you all!

This month brings us a major transition in the Spredict ecosystem. Barring any challenges, $SPI will launch this month, and with it, the next phase of what we are building! Let’s look at what the week brought us, fam!

Tech (Yoan): This week, Yoan refined the $SPI smart contract and worked to continue development of the $SPI staking platform. Yoan and Max also continued app development by prepping the Sao Paolo Grand Prix pools and building out a “special” prediction pool for the United States Presidential Election. You might remember during the Euro tournament we had multiple game pools running at the same time. We love to make those opportunities available to all our players. And, as our app grows, more and more multi-sport and multi-event games will go live. It’s a sneak peek at what we can accomplish with all of your help!

Systems and Operations (Max): Max continued to prep for launch and also did some chain review. While the team has looked at Polygon and Base as potential chains for $SPI, Max recently connected with a number of people who are leading the development of Abstract, a new L2 set to go live at the end of November. Abstract is all about connecting web2 to web3, and as that is part of the mission and vision of Spredict, the opportunity is truly enticing. Max joined a Spaces this week where he had the opportunity to speak with those looking to build on Abstract. The projects had a lot in common with Spredict, and that bodes well for the future!

Comms and Connections (Fred): Fred and Max spent time this week connecting on elements of launch, working through marketing and considering connections, and strategically preparing for the release of $SPI. Fred worked on the weekly Medium and also managed the Twitter/X feed. Fred also strengthened connections with a potential partner building sports gaming and predictions on a different chain. Spredict loves partnerships; the more the merrier.

Who knows what this week will bring? We can’t wait to provide you with final details on launch and get $SPI into your hands. We are beyond excited and we know you are too!

Trading on $DAOG has ended, and we are on to another chapter! Read on to see what the team focused on this week!

Tech (Yoan): The tech side of the house continued to focus on smart contract work for $SPI and the creation of the staking platform, which will go live with $SPI at launch. Investors will be able to stake $SPI at the start, with rewards provided in ETH (most likely). Liquidity providers will also be able to benefit from liquidity rewards. The team is continuing to focus on taxes, launch processes, etc., to make sure that the experience is successful for everyone. In addition, it is critical that those who have migrated tokens are able to claim their vested $SPI easily and in the proper percentages. All of these elements are being worked on. In the near future, a launch date will be determined; it is anticipated that it will be in the beginning/middle of November.

Systems and Operations (Max): Max adjusted the Spredict documentation to account for a final migrated percentage of 76. Amazing, huh? In addition, he made modifications to the pitch deck to allow for changes made over the last few weeks to tokenomics and the launch plan. This pitch deck will prove useful as the team shares final plans for launch. Max worked with the dapp designer for UI and layout items, and worked with Fred to plan marketing and reach out as a date for the $SPI launch is determined. Max also directed the removal of liquidity from the $DAOG/ETH pair, providing the team with roughly ten ETH of liquidity to go towards operations moving forward.

Comms and Connections (Fred): Fred spent time engaging in conversation with a number of potential partner projects and also worked with Max on editing to the pitch deck ahead of token launch. Fred updated the tags in Telegram and also wrote the weekly Medium. Fred and Max also discussed token launch environments and rollout of announcements for the launch of $SPI.

A huge milestone has been reached fam! Can’t wait to see what’s in store next week!

Let’s look at what the team worked on this week.

Tech (Yoan): The tech team spent the week prepping for the ending of $DAOG trading. The team will announce a set time for the end of trading and then will remove the liquidity in the pool once unlocked. These funds will be used to support the growth of $SPI at launch. The tech team also prepped for the launch of $SPI on Base, and continued work on the staking platform. In addition, pools for the Texas GP are ready to go. Make sure you get your picks in!

Systems and Operations (Max): Much of the work of the sys/ops team has focused on prepping for launch in the next few weeks as well as working with the dapp designer to make sure that everything is aligned in UI/UX. In addition, setting up opportunities to spread the good word about launch and design structures for staking, claiming, etc. have all been part of the work of the team. Max also put together this week’s Grand Prix competition (see header image). It’s going to be a fun one!

Comms and Communications (Fred): Along with the weekly Medium, updating socials, etc., the comms team worked with the sys/ops team to build a competition for the upcoming GP. The team has also been in conversations with a number of other projects and potential partners about building support structures ahead of the launch of $SPI.

Each week brings us closer to our new token and new opportunities. Let’s go!

We are just about a few weeks away from the launch of $SPI, and a huge milestone in the life of Spredict! Are you ready? We sure are! Let’s take a look at what the team worked on this week.

Tech (Yoan): The tech team spent the week focused on the $SPI smart contract and getting it primed for release on Base. As mentioned, we selected Base because the mid- and long-term opportunity on that chain will be great for Spredict and additional projects who are looking to grow and expand like we are. As shared previously, this shift to an L2 will allow us to provide winnings and staking rewards for even the smallest investor and to allow for claim fees to be manageable for all. Work continued on prepping the staking platform to go live with our $SPI token and work is continuing on the app interface to allow for MMA predictive gaming. Remember that trading on $DAOG ends October 20, so as of this writing, we have about a week left to trade.

Systems and Operations (Max): The systems team continued to plan for launch, with discussions held around everything from timeline for launch to tax amounts during the direct post-launch period, to which games we want to go live next on the dapp. Max has been working with the design team to continue to refine the dapp and he has also been reviewing migration and seed sale token allocation. Remember that any $DAOG bought and migrated before trading closes will be provided 1:1 with $SPI (make sure you review the vesting schedule) and we anticipate launching at a price point roughly three times higher than today (hence the image for this week’s Medium).

Comms and Connections (Fred): As we get closer to launch, the communications team has been keeping projects and KOLs aware of details and timelines. Fred and Max have also had a number of positive conversations about potential partnerships and methods to move forward not just as Spredict, but as a collaborative entity of gamers and sports lovers. Fred wrote the weekly Medium and updated the tags in Twitter/X.

Another week is in the books, friends. We can’t wait for $SPI to launch and we know you are excited too. The launch of our new token will allow us to grow in ways previously impossible. It’s going to be a ton of fun! See you next week!
