After our 15th June update where the development team were able to demo and test the create liquidity pool, add liquidity and swap functions on chain, the team has moved on to Design a matching and befitting Front-end UI.

Hello community, it’s been an exciting week for the Bashoswap leadership team as we have been able to prepare with the help of our development partner, a Catalyst proposal for the Current Fund 9 that might give us additional funding to continue development of our novel AMM DEX on Cardano.

Bashoswap new mechanism will take advantage of the EUTXO ledger design built into the Cardano network to allow rapid, non-batched transactions with improved trust and reduced latency.

Bashoswap development team kicked off the week by working on the offchain swap contract and then moved on to finish up on the ported ListPools contract to CTL.

Then after, work was done on the port create pool contract to CTL, then swap integration tests were performed.

Franco, one of the lead developers done some onchain spliting tests where he tested whole scripts.

The team is currently making a staking validator for BashoSwap so that the ADA funds in pools are staked. The rewards should go the system.

Hello Bashoswap community, the team has been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we launch on the Cardano Testnet in the coming months.

Final finishing touches has been added on the claim dashboard.

$BASH Token Seed Sale investors can input their address to see how many $BASH tokens they are eligible to claim and when.

The development team has completed the Minting polices for pool NFT and LP tokens and are currently working on pool creation and pool splitting.

Also basic tests using the apropos library have been added.

CTL has been integrated into the codebase (will be used for the off-chain logic).

The Bashoswap development team has been working on the finalized design of the on-chain parts of Bashoswap Dex.

We also got confirmation from several parties collaborating with IOG and from IOG that transaction chaining is indeed possible. Duncan Coutts explained that the ledger does not have a concept of blocks, simply a set of UTXO references that transactions modify.

The team has finished on-chain logic for depositing liquidity, Basic on-chain logic for trades has been implemented (without pool splitting).

The Team has also Finished on-chain logic for withdrawing liquidity, Worked on integrating Apropos library for testing (currently troubleshooting issues)

Worked on specification language (moving from Idris to eDSL in Haskell)

This week the Bashoswap Smart Contract Development team has been working on improvements for the specification language that is being used for Bashoswap as more work is being done on the spec itself.

Trades with liquidity pools without support of pool splitting. Pool splitting will be added when that part of spec has been finished.

The team is also working on implementing the on-chain logic for liquidity depositing and looking into testing tooling.

This mechanism of creating new liquidity pools will ensure that LP tokens of each pools are unique.

More work is also being done on the on-chain logic for swaps.

The Bashoswap team also explored different fee structures, and protocol mechanisms that won’t market manipulation proof.

We will be making a subsequent post about the just completed first Private Sale round.

Over the past couple of days, the whole Bashoswap development team has been running on full steam, building out different aspects of the Bashoswap ecosystem.

The Haskell/Plutus developers worked on Figuring out way to make transaction chaining work even in the presence of dishonest users.

Also, they defined rules for when transaction splitting and merging should be allowed

As a malicious user could keep splitting pools forever. They will pay the minimum ADA, but if they were a hostile competitor, it would be worth it. Because of this we should have a limit on how small pools can be. This isn’t proportion to the value but rather the amount. This should probably be a product of 1 000 000.

The development team is also putting in finishing touches to the Claim Page to make it easy for anyone with Vested $BASH tokens to be able to see when they will be eligible to claim by just inputting their Address.

Also the Bash Token Staking Platform is already nearing completion and would be launched on the testnet in the coming days.

With less than 12 hours to the start of the Bashoswap Private Funding round,

This marks a great step in revolutionizing the De-Fi industry by building a 100% Community Backed and Governed De-Fi protocol.

With this in mind, we will use this medium to explain how the contributions will be used.

Building and developing a functional & scalable DEX on Cardano in record time is a capital and developer intensive mission, especially for new entrants.

The Bashoswap protocol must see rapid adoption in order to realize the mission of becoming a backbone of Cardano’s De-Fi ecosystem.

We recognize that this is extremely ambitious. Our primary goal is to maximize the chances of Bashoswap’s impact and have a long term success mindset, and it’s not going to happen without a stable financial base.

We want the community to feel comfortable with our intended use of the funds that will be raised during the funding rounds.

Minimum And Maximum Amounts

In order for the Bashoswap Token sale rounds to be considered a success, the minimum threshold is ADA 2,500,000.

If ADA 5,500,000 has been collected, ADA 2,000,000 will be added to the Bashoswap Financing Fund (BFF) which will be controlled by a 3/5 Multi-Sig wallet.

The maximum amount that can be raised in the entire Bashoswap sale rounds is ADA 10,862,500.

How will the funds be used?

The first ADA 2,500,000 raised will be devoted solely to the development, marketing and implementation of the Bashoswap DEX, Staking & Launchpad platform.

As mentioned above, once ADA 5,500,000 has been raised, the extra ADA 1,000,000 will be set aside for the liquidity pool.

All funds raised after the Private round will be split in a 3:1 Ratio between the liquidity pool and the Bashoswap development fund.

Our ultimate target

Once we manage to hit our target of ADA 10,862,500, the funds will be divided in the following way: ADA 4,287500 will be devoted to development (developing, marketing and implementing bashoswap platform globally) and ADA 6,575,000 will be set aside for the liquidity pool fund.

Road Ahead

Many crypto projects seem to suffer the same fate: a very promising team with an interesting idea that never ends up being used by anyone.
