The Cryptoys marketplace is a major step forward for digital collecting. As we move into this next phase, we want to clearly explain how the marketplace works today and what improvements are coming, including more information on supply and pricing.

What the Cryptoys Marketplace Enables

The marketplace allows collectors to:

• Trade Cryptoys Digital Toys.
• Trade unopened cubes, blister packs, and unwrapped toys.
• Build and refine collections over time.

An Important Note on the Current User Flow

You may notice that before listing a Digital Toy, it needs to be Unlocked from your Backpack.

This is not an extra or optional step. It’s part of how Cryptoys ensures:

• Asset security.
• Compliance with third-party brand requirements.

IMPORTANT: Items inside your backpack are protected and locked. Unlocking them from your Backpack allows them to be traded on the Digital Toy Exchange. If you don’t Unlock your Cryptoys properly, you may see an error when listing your toy. Please ensure you Unlock your toys within the Cryptoys platform before listing them on the Digital Toy Exchange.

What We’re Improving

Over the coming weeks, you’ll see updates focused on:

• Clearer in-market guidance and messaging.
• Embedded prompts that explain required steps.
• Documentation that supports new collectors.
• Smoother listing and trading flows.

Our goal is to reduce confusion and make the experience feel intuitive for both Web3-native and non-Web3 collectors.

On December 17th, Disney’s Mickey and Friends Volume I Digital Toys return to Cryptoys, a moment that brings one of the world’s most beloved character collections into the future of digital toys.

In order to allow long-term collectibility for our earliest supporters, the overall collection size has been intentionally refined. Mickey and Friends Volume I was originally designed as a 30,000-unit line, later reduced to 14,000 units to strengthen rarity and preserve collector value. Of those, 9,000 units have already been distributed. The remaining 5,000 units will be released in this drop, completing the collection.

48-Hour Public Access Opens December 17th at 12 PM EST

Starting Wednesday 17th December at 12 PM EST, collectors can begin their journey by opening a Cryptoys Cube, with a 48-hour public access window to collect Disney’s Mickey and Friends Volume I, ending Friday, December 19th at 12 PM EST.

Inside each cube is a Mickey and Friends Volume I Digital Toy, revealed through an unboxing experience that showcases your character and its rarity.

Every unboxing leads to a new surprise, and every rarity adds another layer to your collection.

A Fun Way to Collect Disney’s Mickey and Friends Digital Toys.

Mickey and Friends Volume I introduces a full lineup of characters and rarities designed for collectors at every level. These characters include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pluto across 5 rarities in the entire collection.

Each Digital Toy features its own design and rarity tier, revealed through the Cryptoys interactive digital toy format.

My Cryptoys journey started when I saw an interview with Will on “Comics and Crypto.” They were unboxing He-Man Cubes and I thought the unboxing experience was awesome.

As I was looking into it they announced they were dropping Star Wars Cryptoys. As a big Star Wars fan I became instantly excited. I knew if they had Disney and Star Wars IP they were not messing around.

I’ve always been into collecting but really dove in hard in 2020 with trading cards and later got into other digital collecting platforms.

Cryptoys I feel is the best fit for me with what they are trying to accomplish. I love the decision to keep it in the cube, sealed, or open just like in trading cards. I love that they plan to constantly add things we can do with our Cryptoys.

It’s a new space but everything Cryptoys has put out has been top quality and it makes the collecting process fun and smooth. I’m excited about the toy sets and games but am definitely most looking forward to AR! And Mando!

The Star Wars Volume III Collection marks a new and immersive way for fans to engage with these iconic characters as they have been adapted in digital form as Cryptoys.

A New Way to Collect

📖 My Cryptoys Story: Nbsoleil

My journey with Cryptoys started when a partnership with Star Wars was first announced in May 2023. It’s been a short journey for me, but I can say with confidence that Cryptoys’ innovation and dedication to the digital space is contagious. I became a digital world/collectible NFT technology enthusiast, and today I am excited to share my experience in this letter.

For me, it’s not only that Cryptoys offers a unique concept and experience in the digital world. Cryptoys is composed of a team of highly professionals who are committed to the community (Will, Fonzo, and Poof, just to name a few). I was really impressed one day when a community member expressed a specific issue he was having on Discord. Will, the CEO, not only took the time to promptly address the customer’s concern, but he also made sure that the issue was resolved. It wasn’t my situation, but Will’s demeanor and genuine concern for customer satisfaction left a lasting impression on me. It’s not often that you encounter a CEO who is so hands-on and committed to his community.

Lastly, the Cryptoys community on Discord is an exceptional online space that stands out for its collaborative spirit. Unlike many other online platforms, Poof, the community manager, put in a lengthy effort to foster a culture of support and cooperation among its members, making it a truly unique and welcoming environment. There are so many amazing members that I encountered, always willing to share ideas, tools, encouragement, and laughter.

The Vaulting process is guided by the total remaining inventory of each series:

Full Series (30,000 Units)

• If fewer than 10,000 units are sold, we will vault 3,000 units.
• If more than 10,000 but fewer than 20,000 are sold, we will vault 2,000 units.
• If more than 20,000 but fewer than 28,000 are sold, we will vault 1,000 units.
• If 28,000 or more are sold, we will vault half (50%) of the remaining units.

Single Character Wave (10,000 Units)

• If fewer than 3,000 units are sold, we will vault 3,000 units.
• If more than 3,000 but fewer than 6,000 are sold, we will vault 2,000 units.
• If more than 6,000 but fewer than 8,000 are sold, we will vault 1,000 units.
• If 8,000 or more are sold, we will vault half (50%) of the remaining units.

Special Editions (3,000 Units)

• If fewer than 1,000 units are sold, we will vault 1,000 units.
• If 1,000 or more are sold, we will vault half (50%) of the remaining units.

The Effects: Non-Vaulted Items Are Removed from Inventory

In the aftermath of the Vaulting process, an important and irreversible change occurs: collectibles not vaulted are permanently removed from the inventory.

This process, referred to as “Toymination” by our beloved Zoo-F-O Cryptoys, significantly alters the landscape of the Cryptoyverse.

Vaulting and Rarity Redefined

With the Vaulting process, the rarity of some collectibles undergoes a transformation:

Commons:

No Commons are Vaulted.

Ultra Grails:

• If it’s a 1 of 1, it is automatically Vaulted.
• If not a 1 of 1, only 50% of the remaining units are Vaulted.

Vaulting not only affects the availability of certain items but also their collectability and rarity.
