Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) leverages distributed resources, enabling individuals to contribute unused computing power such as CPU, GPU or bandwidth to a decentralized network and earn rewards while powering a system.

DATS, which simplifies access to DePIN through a desktop application. DATS Node App is your gateway to DePIN that allows users to effortlessly contribute computing resources while earning rewards.

Here are some of advantages to you:

✅ No Additional Cost: No one will ask you to pay for running a Node.

This tutorial will guide you through the process of downloading and running DATS Node App on your device. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Downloading DATS Node App To begin your journey with DATS, follow these steps to download the application:

Visit official DATS website at https://datsproject.io/download.
On download page, you’ll find necessary links to download app for your device’s operating system (OS). Choose the appropriate version for your OS and click on the download link.

Step 2: After you’ve successfully downloaded DATS Node App, follow these instructions to set it up:

Locate downloaded app file on your device and run installation process.

Mac users must run Node App by entering the following code in Terminal:

sudo /Applications/DATS.app/Contents/MacOS/DATS

Linux users should run application by entering the following code in Terminal:

The DATS App is in: /opt/DATS
Open the terminal and go to cd /opt/DATS
Run the app with this command: dats — no-sandbox

Windows users don’t need to complete this step.

2. Once the installation is complete, open the DATS Node App:

Step 3: To interact with DATS and participate in ecosystem, you’ll need to connect your mobile EVM wallet. Here’s how to do it:

On app interface, look for option to connect your wallet located in upper right corner. DATS Node App supports E-mail account, Mobile MetaMask and other compatible EVM wallet options.
Click on “Connect Wallet” button.

Step 4: There are 2 options to connect to DATS Node App. You can choose one of two options for wallet connection.

E-mail account connection. (You don’t need to add any network)

2. Mobile Metamask wallet or other compatible evm wallet options.

In order for transactions to be approved, Peaq Network must be added to your Mobile Metamask or other compatible EVM wallet.
You can add network manually. If you experience any problems, you can try updated settings.

Exploring DATS XP

Incentivized Community Campaign is a successful community-driven adventure designed to make web3 accessible and fun for everyone.

While a new epoch space appears every week, tasks with space in the 2st epoch are introduced. These challenges include activities where participants earn XP.

Epoch Information

🗓️ Epoch 1 Quest List:

❗️ Enter your Twitter username at the top of the page and generate your referral code. Sharing your referral code with your network will increase your XP.

❗️ Incentivized Community Campaign will be live on the Peaq Agung Test network only.

1. Follow on X (Twitter)

Go to the DATS Project X account on Twitter.
Follow the account and complete the mission.

2. Join Discord Channel

Go to our Discord account here.
Get the code from the #┃🎯・code-request channel and paste it into the fairdrop.datsproject.io page.

3. Enter Referral Code

Earn extra points by using a friend’s referral code. You can use a referral code that does not belong to you.

4. Join Telegram Channel

Join the DATS Project Telegram group.
Send a message “/code” and get your mission code from @DATSProjectBot in Telegram. Then come back to mission page.
Enter the code you will receive from the bot to the mission screen.

5. Share a Tweet

Press the share a Tweet button.
Add the referral code you received from the 3rd mission to the post you will share on your X (Twitter) account and share.

6. Follow on Medium

Go to our Medium account here.
Follow the our account.

7. Upvote on Certik

Go to Certik.
Vote for DATS Project.

8. Obtain Tokens from Faucet

Steps:

Add Agung Network to your EVM wallet.

Go to faucet page. Enter your EVM address.

Send AGNG tokens to your wallet by pressing the send button.

9. Mint Peaq DID

Mint Peaq DID using tokens you received through Faucet.

10. Mint Aegis NFT

Mint NFT using tokens you received through Faucet.
