In the most recent DinoXWorld update, we released a new type of action card called Dynamic Cards. These are free-to-play (F2P), non-NFT action cards that can be played dynamically each round, adding depth to DinoXWorld’s combat system and giving players new ways to approach battles.

There are two main categories of Dynamic Cards: Active & Passive. Active Cards can be used every round while Passive Cards are equipped to a dino once and remain with that dino until it dies or is removed from the battlefield.

Remember, these new cards consume battle points as part of the new battle mechanics we launched in the latest update, so make sure to read up on that to fully grasp the new battle system and perfect your combat strategies.

Dynamic Cards are earned as a reward for defeating enemies on the battlefield. In the beginning, there are 4 Dynamic Cards available in the game: Crushing Impact, Dual Impact, Vital Surge, and Healing Symphony. The intention is for players to test how the cards work and if any rebalancing is necessary. The rest of the cards from the list below will be released at a later date.

With that said, let’s dive into the list of the first set of Dynamic Cards that will be launched in DinoXWorld (more cards are planned in the future too!).

Some major improvements are coming to DinoX very soon that’ll change the way you play the game! Three of the biggest advances in the works are a New Dynamic Action Card system with new cards, a New Energy System using Battle Points, and a New Progression system for Starter Dinos. Let’s explore!

Dynamic Action Cards

Unlike the previous Action Cards, which have specific activations like spawning, despawning, on death, passive, etc., these new cards are dynamic and can be played throughout the battle. Thus adding depth to the combat system and giving players new ways to strategize their turns within a battle.

Players equip the dynamic cards in the dino’s available card slots. Meaning, when crafting their dino teams, players have to choose whether to put Dynamic Cards or Action Cards in their dino’s open card slots.

After equipping a dino with Dynamic Cards, the cards will appear in the players’ card hand once that dino is spawned on the battlefield. These cards can be used once per round, every round during the player’s turn in the battle. If a player has 2 of the same Dynamic Card, the same rule applies and they can use each card once per round. When that dino dies or is removed from the battlefield, the cards it has go with it & are removed from the player’s card hand.

Players can get their hands on these Dynamic Cards as a reward or by purchasing them in the shop once they become available.

Battle Points

A brand new system to the DinoX battle mechanics is on the way. It’s called Battle Points, and if you’ve played some other turn-based card games you’ll probably recognize the system right away. Essentially, spawning a dino on the battlefield or using dynamic cards will all use Battle Points (BP) once the system is in place.

Each player starts with 3 Battle Points at the beginning of a battle. Actions with the dinos themselves cost 1 Battle Point each. For example, spawning a dino costs 1 BP, and in most scenarios, the player will want to use the first 3 BP to get 3 dinos on the battlefield. Then, in each consecutive round, the player will gain an additional BP. So in round two, a player will have 4 BPs at the start of their turn, and in the next round, they will have 5 BP, and so on. BP maxes out at 10, and each round after round 10 the player will continue to get only 10 BP.

Using Dynamic Cards also costs BP. The amount of BP needed to use a card is displayed on the card itself. Some more powerful cards may cost more BP than others, adding an additional layer of strategy to the battles themselves. A player’s turn ends once they have used all their available BP, or when they choose to end their turn by clicking the “end turn” button.

The integration of Battle Points requires forward thinking by the player to best optimize the actions taken during their turn, so they can defeat their enemies on the battlefield and progress through the game.

New Starter Dino Progression

New utility for starter dinos (non-NFT, free-to-play dinos) is on the way! The addition of Ancient Spice has helped make them stronger, and now we are adding more depth to their utility by giving players the ability to add cards (Dynamic Cards or Action Cards) & increase their card slots.

Each player has several starter dinos they can choose from to create their dino arsenal right from the beginning of the game. Those starter dinos will have one card slot available. By leveling up the starter dino, it can gain one additional card slot. Thus, the main starter dinos can get to 2 card slots once they’re leveled up to a certain level.

As an occasional reward for defeating enemies, a player might receive additional or even special starter dinos. The special ones can start with 2 card slots, with the ability to get a 3rd slot when leveled up. Special starter dinos will also be available for purchase in our shop once we have enabled this new progression system.

There you have it! DinoX will be making several battle improvements and incorporating new advanced mechanics to provide additional strategic layers & more entertainment for players. Also, you can download & play DinoX on your mobile as well as our web version!

We’ve been leaking aspects of our Social Island & mobile release for months, explaining tidbits of how players can construct buildings on their Lands, invite fellow players & friends to explore their dino kingdoms, showcase their DinoX dino NFT collections & other digital assets, and more.

The Social Island is a vital aspect of the game, encompassing the combination of the DinoX World Map, players’ NFT Lands, and its usability in DinoX. The first iteration will be mostly focused on technical aspects and fine-tuning/testing some early features.

Following the Social Island, we’ll release an early, testing-focused version of DinoX Mobile on both Google Play & Apple Store. This first mobile release will be slightly targeted toward free-to-play (F2P) players and will have the basic functionality of the features explained below. After sufficient testing and implementation of additional features, we will do a full public release with marketing. Imagine this like an early beta release of our mobile game for our loyal community, and we highly appreciate your feedback!

Below, we’ve outlined the majority of new features that’ll be available on Day 1 as well as some exciting things that will come later but we just couldn’t wait to tell you about them! Let’s dive in!

Your Starter Island

Upon login, players will drop into their “starter” or “default” island. This island is a rudimental, non-NFT land that all players start with for constructing some primary buildings for basic resource production and core playability. The starter island isn’t connected to the World Map and therefore doesn’t have the capability to travel to neighboring lands. Players need NFT Lands in order to do that!

If a player owns an NFT Land, they can set it to be the preferred “default” one, and therefore always drop into that Land instead of the non-NFT one. For players with multiple NFT Lands, they’ll be able to select which one to designate as the default.

NFT Lands & World Map

NFT Lands contain the same functionality as the default island but expand their building capacity with additional building slots and the ability to construct more unique & advantageous structures. The higher the rarity, the greater the number of buildings a player can construct, including more unique structures.

NFT Lands are your key to unlocking the full realm of social features in DinoX. They connect players to the World Map, allowing them to roam around their Lands and even visit neighboring properties. In the future, players will be able to invite others to their Lands and explore much more than just the neighborhood. Non-NFT holders won’t have the luxury to traverse the World Map at the beginning, but there will be some form of exploration for everyone later on.

On your Land, there will be an obelisk that allows players to teleport between their own NFT Lands and the default island. In addition, at the edges of one’s NFT Land, they’ll see mini obelisks which take them to neighboring Lands. In later stages, the World Map will be more interactive, allowing players to zoom in & out, and even fast travel to various locations. More features will be added in the near future!

Buildings & Functionality

This initial release of the Social Island gives players the opportunity to build new factories and mining buildings which increases resource production. Players will see on their lands the designated areas where they can construct such buildings. Of course, how many a player can build depends on the rarity of their NFT Lands.

Building construction requires both resources and time. While in construction, the buildings can’t be used, but once they’re finished the player will be able to harvest resources after some time by manually clicking on the building. Note: These resources won’t be automatically added to your inventory, players will need to visit their lands and collect them.

In addition to these new factories and mines, players will be able to construct the blacksmith building for forging a variety of items, such as keys that unlock new playable battlegrounds in the Ancient Enemies gameplay mode. More buildings will be added later on.

Nonplayer Characters (NPCs)

Upon the launch of the Social Island, players will get to see the first set of NPC Avatars! These Avatars will only have one-liner bubble text when players approach them or click on them for now, but later they’ll be able to give you a variety of different information, the option to start or proceed with quests (yes quests!), and may even offer you some special deals on in-game items or merchandise.

Energy Management

Last but not least, energy management will change a little bit. But don’t worry, players who have already increased their max energy levels or the energy regen speed will keep that level, so no risk of losing your progress!

The change comes with a single energy building instead of multiple buildings. Within this building, players will have the option to upgrade regen and max capacity. Players who already upgraded their energy facilities will automatically have this new building on their Lands with their progress intact, while new players will need to construct the new building with the required resources in order to use it.

With a very productive 2022 behind us, it’s time now to look forward into our Roadmap for 2023! We are excited to share our plans for the upcoming year, including lots of exciting game and ecosystem features. Our goal is to continue to improve the gaming experience for our DinoX Fam community and provide them with a unique and engaging world filled with strategy, entertainment, and value. First Quarter 2023

Social Island

We’ve heard the community ask about it, and we’re happy to say it’s coming in Q1 this year! The Social Island is where Land owners can showcase their awesome plots of Land to friends and other players alike. From the start, Land owners can build factories for Liberation Crystal & Dino Snack production, as well as mines for other special resources.

Anyone can view plots of Land throughout the entire interactive Social Island world map. Zoom in to see what your neighbors are up to or find your friends’ Lands to see which buildings they’ve already constructed. We have big plans for the Social Island and more features will be implemented throughout the year so be on the lookout for more updates & leaks!

Adventure Mode

The highly anticipated free-roam gameplay mode is rapidly approaching release! In Adventure Mode, players roam the Wildlands of DINOX World, completing quests, collecting items & rewards, battling or avoiding hidden dangers, and discovering new territories.

Use your strongest dino team to defeat arcane enemies that lurk in the shadows or duel with NPC dino trainers for large rewards through various quests and challenges. Special items can be obtained through the use of excavation tools as you uncover the mysteries beneath the sands of this unexplored world.

Lots of Adventure Mode features will be implemented over the course of 2023 and we can’t wait to show you what’s in the works!

Animated Dinos

Oh yes, the dinosaurs are getting major animations this year! We know this is one of the things players have been looking forward to the most, and to be honest, we’re very excited about it too! The in-battle attack animations are getting a huge upgrade. We want the player to “feel” their dino’s devastating attacks!

Outside of battles, you’ll find dinos walking and moving around in areas of the Wildlands & even in your Lands on the Social Island. Many improvements on dino animations are coming soon!

Second Quarter 2023

Mobile Release

We’ve been putting lots of effort into adapting DINOX World for mobile users and we’re proud to say that a mobile release is projected for the second quarter of 2023! We aim to have all the features of the desktop version, allowing players to seamlessly transition to their favorite handheld devices.

Market & Itemswap

Our marketplace will get a massive upgrade in the second quarter of 2023, introducing P2P tradeability and a bunch more items to sell on the open market. Additionally, we’re launching an Itemswap feature allowing players to swap various items in real-time.

Third Quarter 2023

Season Pass

Seasonal events are in the forecast for Q3. Players will earn special rewards for completing objectives and challenges in each season they participate in. Finishing all the objectives in the limited-time season will be a true testament to your DINOX World skills!

Gen 1+

In the second half of the year, we plan to unleash more unique and visually impressive NFT dinos. Staying true to our mission to one day have every known dinosaur species roaming the lands of DINOX World!

$DNXC Tournaments

Another highly anticipated feature will be released this year. We’re talking about Tournaments! Put together your best dino team and battle it out against real player opponents for the chance at winning $DNXC & other rewards.

Fourth Quarter 2023

Special Quests & Events

As we implement many new features into the Adventure Mode, Special Quests & Events will gradually get introduced as well. Earn unique rewards for completing these and show off to your friends just how far you’ve come!

A new update, DINOX World Beta v1.2.5, is just around the corner and it will lay the groundwork for the future of the game. In this update, we are introducing a new in-game currency called “Chips” which will have many uses, some of which we will touch on in this article but we’ll only be scratching the surface of its use cases. Additionally, this update brings the highly anticipated Blacksmith Building to life, as well as upgrades to the Checkpoints system and other improvements. Let’s dive in!

Chips

We are introducing a new DINOX World in-game currency called “Chips”. It will be a highly valuable in-game currency and will allow players to purchase many new things in the game as well as use them to speed up certain processes and other important functions.

Players can buy Chips with DNXC or with fiat currency as well. Purchasing Chip bundles with DNXC will give you more bang for your buck! Chips are vital to the DINOX World experience as they give players the ability to perform a plethora of actions including

• Upgrade certain buildings
• Construct certain new buildings
• Purchase checkpoints (explained below)
• Enable breeding
• Reduce breeding time
• Many Adventure Mode functions
• And a whole lot more which will be explained in detail later on when we get closer to releasing more of these features.

Extra Checkpoints

With the introduction of Chips, one immediate function is the ability to use them to purchase additional checkpoints! Remember, there are automatic checkpoints given every 5th battle won in the new battlegrounds. However, those checkpoints can only be used once so when players get to the tougher levels they may want extra protection!

That’s where these purchasable checkpoints come in handy! These “premium checkpoints” as we call them are usable only once but can be put at any battle that they have already beaten. Players will only be able to set one checkpoint per battle, meaning it’s not possible to double or triple up on a particular battle. That being said, it’s possible to put additional checkpoints at earlier battles to act as a strong safety net so players never lose their progress below that point!

We mentioned in the last article that players can actually fall all the way out of the new battlegrounds if they use up all their free checkpoints, so having an additional barrier to prevent that is a huge benefit!

Blacksmith Building

The highly anticipated Blacksmith Building is here! This update brings the first phase of blacksmith functionality — forging keys! Using the key shards that players have accumulated through defeating opponents in Ancient Enemies & the new battlegrounds, a player can forge 5 shards to make 1 key of the player’s choice.

Remember, keys are used to unlock the new battlegrounds. Players need 20 keys of a single type in order to unlock the correlating battleground.

The Blacksmith Building will have 3 stages in its evolution, each with more capacity to forge various items. In addition to forging key shards into keys, players will be able to create such things as temporary Avatar cards, DNA converters (used for breeding), Power Crystals, Power Bots, and a whole lot more! Never heard of those items? That’s because they’re new! Don’t worry though, each of these new items will be explained in more detail in later articles.
