Banana Sessions

This past Saturday, we hosted our 1st Banana Sessions music event on Twitch! The EAPES Tribe went bananas to the tunes spun by our very own Tribe member DJ vAPED. vAPED kept the tracks pumping for a full two hours and brought down the house. Because this first session was so big, we’ve decided to make Banana Sessions a legendary tradition for our EAPES family. We can already close our eyes and imagine what the party will look like on the sandy shores of EAPES Islands, where we can soak up the sun, sip on banana colladas and dance the night away together.

We will announce spinning the wheel and determining the prize winners on March 31st.

Deafness Protectors — Twitter Spaces

EAPES, along with several other MultiversX NFT projects including Aquaverse and Mafia, have decided to support a project called Deafness Protectors. This is a community support project aimed at helping those that suffer from hearing loss or have lost hearing completely. The project is lead by MultiversX community member ⚡ REEZY 🦻🏼 whose son, Livio, has hearing loss.

As part of this support initiative, Crypto Mercy and Vendo participated in several meetings with Reezy and a Twitter Space hosted by GRM on March 27th. During the AMA, Crypto Mercy and Vendo expressed their support for the cause and their willingness to assist Reezy in establishing an association that helps families and young children affected by deafness and praised Reezy’s courage.

Team Updates

Goodbye Einy

With heavy hearts, the Team bid farewell to Einy. Einy has been an invaluable part of our community, dedicating his time and expertise as a long-time supporter and core contributor to our project. The team will miss his ability to manage chats and tickets as Lead Moderator, as well as his vast experience with rewards distributions, back-end tech, and the banning of EAPES.

The team would like to wish Einy the best of luck in all of his future endeavors. Thank you for your support and help over the past year.

Welcome on Board

The team also announced the arrival of @GRM_X ⚡ as an external Advisor. Before becoming a key player on MultiversX, GRM worked for years in traditional finance, co-founded one of the 1st regulated crypto companies in France and a multi-channel Web3 gaming platform that notably worked with RTFKT (Nike Inc).

As an Advisor, he will put his expertise in web marketing and communication at the service of the EAPES. Welcome aboard, GRM 🤝

Light Rebranding

The Tribe has spoken! A unanimous decision was made in favor of using EAPES as our new name. Thank you for your participation.

Our Roots

As we embark on our rebranding journey, we made a conscious effort to preserve the visual elements of our original Elrond Apes logo that is synonymous with our brand. We understand the significance of staying true to our roots while evolving with the times. As such, our classic Ape head logo will remain on all of our visuals, website and merchandise.

We are proud of the steps we have taken and look forward to sharing it with our loyal community members who have supported us along the way.

As we begin our exciting journey leaving behind Elrond and catapulting into MultiversX, our new and evolving EAPES brand will bring a fresh look that is more inline with our strategic direction while still paying homage to our important roots. 3. Development Initiatives

EAPES Islands

The team is deeply exploring the potential of EAPES Islands, and developing such an ambitious project would undoubtedly increase the project’s value and engagement. The possibilities are endless, even in the early concept stage. For instance, we envision 3D EAPES walking on and swimming around the beaches of the islands and even an entire EAPES economy on the islands.

Furthermore, we are looking into the possibility of developing various housing concepts on different EAPES Islands, as you can see below. We will keep you informed.

National Banana Day Special Project

The team has been working on a special project behind the scenes in preparation for National Banana Day on April 19th. We aim to make this day significant for EAPES starting this year and continuing annually in the future. Stay tuned for more information leading up to this big day.

Cyberpunk City — Twitter Spaces

Our very own Hitchy from the EAPES Team led the Cyberpunk City Twitter Spaces last Friday. This was a great opportunity to share details about our partnership as well as learn more about the Cyberpunk City project. The Spaces was well attended and the host GRM did a good job asking important questions and keeping things moving. A lot of information was shared about Cyberpunk and their Citizens and the Team is looking forward to more things to come from the partnership.

Cyberpunk City — CYBER Token Distribution

The Team will be distributing 138,000 $CYBER tokens, currently valued at $25,700.00 on April 4th! Please read the important information below in detail.

Who will benefit from these rewards? 100% of it will get distributed to EAPES Stakers.

When will holders get their share of the rewards? On Tuesday April, 4th, you will be able to CLAIM it in the EAPES dApp along with your regular WEGLD staking rewards.

Distribution allocation: $CYBER will be distributed to stakers based on the current ranking pool used for the bi-monthly rewards.

Snapshots have been ongoing since March 7th so all EAPES that have been staked from this date will get 100% of their share.

Is it too late to stake to get $CYBER? No, you can still get a prorated allocation for the remaining days if you stake now. Time is ticking.

Important notes:

Do NOT move your EAPES from any pool in order to keep your share of the rewards. If you unstake your EAPES at any time from March 7th you will not receive any $CYBER unless you re-stake them and they stay staked until after April 4th. In this case you will receive $CYBER only for the period that you re-staked. At the current $CYBER token value, EAPES stakers will be able to claim a total of $25,700.00

What can holders do with these rewards? Sell on xEchange or Stake it in the Cyberpunk City dApp at an attractive APR (56%).

The Team announced an exciting collaboration with Home X, a new MultiversX NFT project offering an exciting read-to-launch P2E Game, unique artwork and lore. The Opportunity for Our EAPES Project

Home X has also generously offered 0.15 EGLD from every mint to be put towards the development of EAPE Islands! A total of 499.95 EGLD (based on a sellout of all 3,333 NFTs) will be paid directly to an EAPES development wallet via a smart contract.

The EGLD will be used for the following:

Cyberpunk City

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Twitter space on Friday, March 24th at 17h UTC with our partners, Cyberpunk City. This is your chance to ask any questions related to Web3 gaming, Metaverse games, P2E, Tokenomics, Team, Roadmap, and more. The Cyberpunk City team will be there to answer all your questions and give you more insight into the project we have partnered with. We are also giving away rewards (5 EGLD) during the space, so be sure to attend, take a screenshot, and post it in the comments to qualify.

EAPES announced a partnership with the very talented Cyberpunk City team. The Primes voted to stake 2,500 EGLD from EAPES DAO Wallet with Cyberpunk Stake provider. In return, EAPES will receive numerous benefits:

1- 4 CYBER tokens per EGLD staked per month.

Over the course of one month, the 2,500 EGLD staked with Cyberpunk Stake will generate 10,000 CYBER tokens (2,500 EGLD * 4 CYBER per EGLD). The CYBER will be staked in the Cyberpunk dApp that currently gives a juicy 63.68% APR!

The Team intends to stake the EAPES CYBER tokens for as long as the staking rewards are beneficial to the community. Perhaps after 3–6 months, the Team can unstake if they find a better staking option (like Hatom Protocol, as an example). Once the CYBER tokens are unstaked, the rewards will be distributed to holders who have staked their EAPES after the staking period ends.

2- The Team will airdrop CYBER tokens to holders who have staked their EAPES.

In addition to 1 above, the Team will distribute some CYBER tokens in the first week of April to holders who have currently staked their EAPES! These CYBER tokens rewards will be claimed in the EAPES dApp, the same way stakers claim their Egld rewards right now. The amount of CYBER tokens stakers are entitled to, will follow the same actual ranking pools.

Snapshots have been made since March 7th and are still being performed on a daily basis. The Team recommends that you stake your EAPES now in order to receive your share of these CYBER tokens. It’s not too late, go stake your EAPE.

About Cyperpunk City

Cyberpunk City is an upcoming MMO (Massive Multi-Player Online) role playing game built on Unreal Engine 5. The initial playground of Cyberpunk City will be an open-world instanced cityscape containing various PVP and PVE activities such as co-op missions, PVP duels and citizen races. Citizens will be able to group up, hang out at a local bar, attend to a citizen-run concert and express themselves with unique dance emotes or just simply cruise through the night.

One of Cyberpunk City’s many unique features is the “Own the Game” concept behind it. They have developed this concept to combat the rapid inflations caused by the traditional “Play to Earn” system. To put it simply: by owning an NFT, you get to own the game.

The primes have completed the voting process and the Team are thrilled to announce the following five primes that will be the member of the Launchpad Committee:

Our new website is currently under construction and making great progress. We’re in the finalization phase and we’re working to ensure that the artistic guidelines are in line with our tools. Stay tuned for updates on our official launch!

Now that the new brand name has been selected, the EAPES team is working to secure suppliers and develop new designs that incorporate the new, light EAPES brand. Once all the details have been finalized, the team will reopen the Merch store and offer our community the highest quality products. EAPES ISLANDS

The team has received one quote for the creation of all 10,000 EAPES in 3D and are awaiting a second quote from another provider. There is a lot of work involved in discussions with the providers and conveying the desire to have the highest quality renderings of the EAPES.

The tribe received a brief preliminary look at EAPES in 3D walking down a street in Cyberpunk City. These 3D apes were put together on very short notice and are not what a final product would look like but the excitement generated from this short video clearly shows the potential 3D EAPES would have.

We’re excited to announce that Vendo has joined our EAPES Discord Moderator team! With a focus on the French channel, Vendo will also be lending a hand with team projects, potential collaborations, and community events. Beyond just moderating discussions, Vendo is actively seeking out opportunities for sponsorships and charity collaborations. Staking and xSafe Multisig Wallet

The Team received the DAO funds from Morningstar Ventures and successfully staked 100% of the assets using xSafe Multisig wallet. The signatories for the Multisig wallet are Crypto Mercy, Hitchy, Emira, Mihai (XOXNO) and Trust Staking. This provides an added layer of security for our assets and offers us the flexibility to earn staking rewards with multiple MultiversX Validators.

In addition, the Primes voted to change the reward payout frequency from weekly to bi-weekly in order to coincide with the bi-weekly changes to the Special Trait Pool. We are also currently exploring the ability to airdrop rewards directly to holders of EApes without having to claim staking rewards through the dApp.

Partnerships and Collaborations

C3 Agency

We announced the selection of France based C3 Agency as the EApes developer partner. C3 Agency has extensive experience in both front and back-end development in Web2 and Web3. Their expertise includes strategy, design and digital technologies and they have experience in smart contract, Web and App solutions, planning, interface design and development.

C3 Agency will be responsible for the management & development of the dApps, the website and the Launchpad. Welcome on board and we look forward to working with you!

Trust Staking

The Team announced a new partnership with XOXNO and Trust Staking. A portion of our DAO Wallet is now staked with Trust Staking, a well-respected validator in the MultiversX ecosystem with a proven track record of providing dependable and secure staking services. By partnering with them, we can benefit from their competitive reward yields.

XOXNO will be our technical auditors and security advisors to ensure high security for the EApes Multisig wallet. They will also handle security contract audits and verifications in addition to providing consultation services. With full transparency, flexibility and service availability, XOXNO guarantees peace of mind for our community.

XOXNO has opened the doors to their infrastructure, providing us with unparalleled flexibility and empowering our Team and EApes holders to pursue our goals with renewed vigor. With XOXNO’s support, we are well-positioned to expand our presence in the dynamic world of decentralized finance.

ValidBlocks

We partnered with ValidBlocks to use their new product xSafe Multisig wallet for our sizeable DAO Wallet. It is now live on the MultiversX Mainnet and provides us with multi-signature security at both the user and institutional levels. What this means is that all transactions are only approved when multiple signatures are used, which provides an additional layer of security for our assets.

Launchpad 2.0

The EApes Launchpad is coming! A Launchpad Committee consisting of 5 Prime holders is being formed. Ten interested Primes submitted their application form last week and currently, a vote is being conducted to select 5 members to join the Launchpad Committee.

Once established, the Launchpad Committee will develop a set of criteria and guidelines for screening potential Launchpad partners. Other responsibilities will include setting up a Launchpad Application Form, determining specific benefits for each Launchpad partner for Primes and the entire community as well as a Launchpad Calendar. The Team will provide guidance and a set of marketing materials for the Launchpad Committee to use.

The Launchpad is an exciting development and represents the next step in the evolution of EApes.

We are currently working on restoring the ability to order certain high-quality garments with our previous supplier, and we are also exploring the possibility of adding new items to our collection.

Branding

The Primes are currently discussing and working on a rebrand of EApes that may include a new name and logo. Stay tuned for more details.

EApes Islands

The Team is currently seeking quotes to have the entire EApes collection rendered in 3D. This will allow EApes to participate in various metaverse applications in the future. This project will take time and money to complete. Once options are identified and all aspects are explored the Team will present the project to the Tribe for consideration.

We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with ValidBlocks, a leading provider of cryptocurrency staking solutions. We would like to congratulate Validblocks on their successful launch of xSafe, a user-friendly Multisig wallet that we use to secure our DAO Wallet. It is now live on the MultiversX Mainnet and provides us with multi-signature security at both the user and institutional levels. What this means is that all transactions are only approved when multiple signatures are used, which provides an additional layer of security for our assets.

In addition, xSafe offers us the flexibility to earn staking rewards with any MultiversX Validator. Because of this flexibility, we can now stake with any validator. Validators provide security in the MultiversX ecosystem. They have also been a large contributor of PoS infrastructure since 2018. The ValidBlocks team continues to participate in some of the largest projects in the space.

We are excited to introduce our new bi-weekly EApe Update, which will offer you a sneak peek into what our team has been working on behind the scenes. In the past two weeks, we’ve made significant progress in laying a solid foundation for the continued growth and success of our Tribe.

Here are some key highlights:

Multisig

We’re thrilled to announce that our first Multisig tests were a success! Our team has been making steady progress, and we are dedicated to providing the best possible outcomes for our community. We will continue to take measured steps forward in pursuit of our goals and to deploy our Multi-sig wallets over the next days. Please note that two signatories, Emira and Hitchy have been officially approved in addition to our CEO, Crypto Mercy to secure wallets.

DAO Proposal on Quorum Change

The Team unveiled new proposed guidelines for submitting DAO proposals. The system will feature four distinct levels based on estimated production expenses, which will impact both the quorum size and voting times. Launchpad 2.0

Exciting news! The Team is hard at work bringing Launchpad 2.0 to life. To facilitate this process, a Prime Committee comprising five dedicated members will partner with the Team to identify potential EApe Launchpad candidates for the Tribe. Together, they will establish a set of evaluation criteria to be used when exploring new projects, helping to mitigate risks for all parties involved. Stay tuned for more updates!

Charity

Following the complete deployment of our charity Multisig wallet, we’re excited to announce that we will be making donations to the two previously approved charities, Orangutan Outreach and WILD, as soon as the transfer and setup process is finalized. In addition, the Team will actively seek out other charities that align with EApes’ values, periodically bringing them to the Tribe’s attention for consideration. Stay tuned for more updates on our charitable initiatives!

Marketing

Marketing is a top priority for the team, and we’re actively seeking ways to boost the exposure of the EApes brand. We’re currently evaluating options such as Twitter spaces, influencer partnerships, and advertising. We’re developing our marketing strategies further, so expect to hear more from us soon. Our objectives are clear regarding the use of the community and achieving new standards in branding and sense of belonging.

Branding

With the recent re-branding of Elrond to MultiversX, the Team is looking to enhance the EApe brand through various marketing efforts. At this stage, we’re starting discussions related to several elements, the first being the possibility of refreshing and evolving our brand name to better thrive. Soon, we’ll be discussing this with the community. This initiative involves several elements, such as redesigning the logo, creating a brand standard guide with derivative logos (secondary marks), designing new clothing for a new clothing line, and more. Stay tuned for more on our upcoming re-branding strategies.

Ape Islands

The Team recently released a short YouTube video of Ape Islands. This video provided an exciting sneak peek at some of the development already completed by the previous team using Unreal Engine 5. Ape Islands will be a driving force for the project and provide additional revenue streams for our community.

Also included in the previous teams’ asset library are 3D models and renderings of the top half of all the EApes. The Team is currently evaluating providers to complete the lower half of the EApes. This step will be an integral part of bringing our EApes to life.

Interviews with Developers

We conducted over a dozen interviews and met with some teams who are interested in working with us. We will take the next few days to decide on our direction and will make an announcement next week. We are very excited! Choosing a developer will allow us to get accurate assessments related to the release of several milestones and thus, finalize a more detailed Roadmap.

The future is bright for EAPEs. True value creation will be achieved through execution on the above noted items. The Team is committed to this goal.

The Elrond Apes and Morningstar Ventures teams have worked closely together and established a strong collaboration over the past half year. The Morningstar Ventures team was integral to providing guidance and strategic advice to our project, to the point where Morningstar Ventures became more than just an investor to us.

We had multiple brainstorming sessions and conversations about the future of Elrond Apes. From this, it was clear to everyone that joining the Morningstar Ventures group of companies would be the most exciting and beneficial to the Elrond Apes project.

We look forward to working closely with Morningstar Ventures and being able to not just rely on their financial support but also get access to various resources and help from talented team members. Together we will keep developing the project and its roadmap.

What does the acquisition mean for the future of Elrond Apes?

Above all, we are happy to share that despite this acquisition, the Elrond Apes project will operate independently as a stand-alone startup with its own respective goals and roadmap. This acquisition does not intend to halt, stall, or compromise the growth and integrity of the project. Instead, it aims to empower our path forward and support our team with the needed resources and expertise.

Moving forward, Karl Thomas will lead Elrond Apes as CEO and steer the project’s direction together with Danilo S. Carlucci, CEO of Morningstar Ventures. As the lead developer and Co-Founder of Elrond Apes, Julian will stay on board and push the project’s development efforts, alongside help from the Morningstar Ventures tech team. Ginsburg and Sicko will support the transition over the coming weeks. However, they will take this opportunity to pursue other personal passions and adventures and move away from the project step by step. We are thankful for their support and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

Elrond Apes support teams and functions will remain unchanged. Similarly, the familiar faces from our community will continue to support us and keep pushing the project forward. We are also looking to expand our team, so our quest to hire new team members will continue. If you are interested, please keep an eye on our Discord Channel.

The DAO, staking programs, and charity initiatives will remain intact per the project’s mission and objectives. We will move the assets of these wallets to new addresses and share details with the community once funds are transferred to meet our objective of always staying completely transparent towards our community.

What’s next?

We will now focus on transitioning to Morningstar Ventures and getting the team up to date. Secondly, we will work on strategizing and communicating the upcoming improved roadmap. The Elrond Apes and Morningstar Ventures teams are already collaborating on some exciting initiatives, and we can’t wait to tell you more about them. Watch out for new announcements towards the end of September.

About the Collection

Cantina Royale and Elrond Apes have teamed up to partake in the upcoming top-down tactical arcade shooter with play-to-earn mechanisms. Elrond Apes NFTs will be featured in the game and become usable across single and multiple-player battle modes.

The total collection consists of 3,000 NFTs. They will be identified in the game as having special Elrond Apes traits.

The perks include 1% lifetime earnings for all future recruited Space Ape. Elrond Apes will receive access to the lending platform where NFT holders can tap into a passive revenue stream.

What is in the mystery Box?

Each Elrond Apes Mystery box redeems one Cantina Royale Elrond Ape NFT. The reveal will happen on Verko’s website and details of it will be announced on the respective official Elrond Ape and Cantina Royale channels.

The price is 4.9 EGLD, per mystery box.

The mystery box is an SFT and will be tradable after mint.

How to be Whitelisted?

In order to be white-listed, you must own an Elrond Ape and have it staked. You can do so by visiting elrondapes.com and accessing our dApp. The snapshot will be taken anytime on 2nd August 2022.

How many per wallet?

Prime Apes will have access to mint 4 Mystery boxes, and our Tribe Apes will be able to mint 2 Mystery boxes.

Where will the mint happen?

The mint will be on Verkos IGO website, the link will be posted on official channels on Wednesday 3rd August 2022. The time of the mint will also be posted at this time.

When will the reveal happen?

The reveal will happen on Verko’s website and details of it will be announced on the official Elrond Ape and Cantina Royale channels. It will be a few weeks after the mint.

We’re proud to announce the launch of Apes Community Labs today, with a grant of $25,000 for the builders.

Since our launch in January, we have had the pleasure to interact with our community and we have been astonished by the skill within our group. We see holders that are talented, passionate, and have an immense drive to innovate and build.

Apes Community Labs

Apes Community Lab is a community incentive to bring together the best developers and designers from our community to join together and build products and services for our ecosystem together.

With the launch, Elrond Apes will be providing a grant of $25,000 to the Apes Community Lab to use over the next several months. This can be used to build anything from websites to merchandise, to apps. We expect the creativity to be immense from this group and we look to support it. Elrond Apes team will provide logistical, advisory, and any assistance to help the developers from ACL [Apes Community Lab] to achieve their goals.

From the Community to the Community

For all products and services that will be made by ACL and have a selling price, the profit will be shared between the builders 50% and the DAO 50%. This will provide further resources for ACL to keep developing additional and innovative products, whilst adding a new revenue source to the DAO.

The DAO currently has multiple income streams — Royalties of NFT sales, Merchandise, Maiar Farming, and now ACL will be the latest addition, complementing our vision to add more income streams to the DAO

We are proud to announce our first community tool built for our tribe with the goal to interconnect one another and showcase their holdings.

Features

The map has various features that we strongly believe the community will love and we have been proud to have built. The below outlines a few of the features;

• Showcase your Apes — Users will have the ability to show their Apes that they hold by adding them to their profile.
• Connect with each other — When signing up, holders will be able to add their Discord and Twitter name, allowing our community to interact better with one another
• Location — users can drop their location on where they reside
• Find Ape — You have the ability to find the ape that you may be seeking and using the discord link, or Twitter you can connect directly with the holder

Leaderboard

We have added a leaderboard, where it will show the Holders with the most apes at the top. Each ape, is part of the collection of 10,000 Apes, and are considered as one NFT.

The apes shown on the map come from the staking pools and individual wallets, however not the marketplaces.

Color Pins

In the map, there are three colors that you will notice. The Yellow has been designated for a Prime Ape holder. Purple reflects a Whale Holder, a user with more than 25 apes, and grey for a Tribe Ape Holder.

Community Events

We expect the community to find other holders that either live in the same city, or close by. Going by the extraordinary vibe that we have from our discord, we know we would love the opportunity to meet each other in real life.

Elrond Apes, would love to see this and we, therefore, plan to have gatherings happen throughout the world. We will facilitate communications between the groups as well as provide funding to cover the cost. So be it a night out for drinks with fellow Apes or a concert or any special event — Elrond Apes will be proud to sponsor them. More information will be released by end of July.

How to Connect to the Map

The map is very safe for all holders as there is no transaction to sign. All a holder has to do is log into https://community.elrondapes.com/ and select “Connect” at the top right-hand corner, where you will be led to sign into your wallet. Once that is completed you can click on “Register your Ape”. Once completed you will see your pin at your location.

Please note at any time you have the ability to remove yourself of the map by going back and clicking “Edit your info” and selecting “delete your data”
