We all have heard so many gurus’ talking about useful apps and tools to increase productivity, but in reality, are they really going to help us? for me, it’s a yes because as a content creator and developer, I need to protect my time in every way I can that doesn’t mean using apps is going to help but it shows where we are using our time and how we can optimize time, here are 5 apps and tools that I use and found useful so, let’s dive in!

Here are some tools I use personally and want to recommend to you guys if you are a team some apps will help a lot let’s start with my top favorite app

OneSec App

Whenever I feel bored, I quickly grab my phone and check on Instagram and Twitter and forget about the time, after finding this app whenever I feel like using the apps this app provides a prompt to think if I really want to use the app and at the meantime, I think about it and close the app which saves me a lot of time like 10hrs to 20hrs a week.

Which increases my productivity It’s a great tool for those who struggle with procrastination like me and need help staying on task (not every time though). With OneSec, users can set up custom blocks for specific websites and apps, and the app will remind them to stay focused. The app also provides daily reports on usage and productivity, making it easy to track progress over time.

Notion App

Wait I know what you guys think and I guess you already know about the notion so why am I writing this here? because I want to talk about a feature notion recently launched ‘notionAI’ which is an amazing substitute for chat GPT even though I don’t use it frequently it’s a cool feature to try out and what about notion?

If you don’t use Notion yet it is an all-in-one productivity app that allows users to organize tasks, projects, notes, and more in one place. Below is the screenshot of my productivity system even though it totally depends on you if you want to try Notion or NotionAI Check it out here -

I don’t know what to call myself but all I can tell is I love building audiences and amazing businesses around it. so I have an interest in multiple business ideas been thinking to start one but I couldn’t. So today i will state my ideas and business models around it in this article so that you can apply them in your business and give some pieces of advice. Step One Building Audience

Growing an online presence and building an audience is not an easy task because it requires a lot of effort and time. I am going to post quality content from today on social media platforms so that I can repurpose the content and gain good engagement. I am using this ghost cms because of its features they are incredible everything you need as a creator in 2023 I am really excited to write about it in the upcoming articles, and making writing my hobby is one of the goals I have in this journey. you can follow me on Twitter here

Step two building the sass product

I have had this idea of building a startup for 2 yrs but I was not able to launch any startup completely this time I will be surely launching a cool project called developer digest with a link you can join the waitlist here. I am so excited to start this project. I am currently building my portfolio you can find it here harshithv.me

while doing this I will build my email list so the early birds can opt-in fast and I can validate the idea. writing this article is taking longer than I thought lol😄.

step three is to start a clothing line.

I love the brands and how they operate and especially their business model it’s quite unique to me I will start a brand soon with a proper goal and idea for the brand.

Why you’re more productive in the morning

There are a few reasons why you might be more productive in the morning than during the rest of the week. — You’re rested. I usually sleep 6 to 8 hours a day. Sleep is essential for your mental and physical health, and a poor sleep schedule can hurt your productivity. You’re rested and ready to go when you start work on Monday morning, but by Friday you’re likely to be exhausted and desperate for the weekend. — You’re less stressed. Even if you have a job that’s not particularly time-sensitive, you’ve likely got a bunch of tasks you have to do this week. And if you have anything like a normal life outside of your job (kids, significant other, exercise, etc.), then you have a lot of things to do that might be stressing you out.

Stop doing all the things

The first thing you should do is stop doing all the things. This sounds crazy, but when you look at the data, it’s the best thing you can do for your productivity. if you are like me opening ’N’ of tabs at a time then please stop doing that because that’s where it all goes wrong and that’s what I learned in these past days and set a time limit for a certain work you are doing If you give them an hour, they’ll take an hour. If you give them two hours, they’ll take two hours.

Increase your focus with a 15-minute break

There’s another factor that influences your productivity, and that’s the focus. Focus is a limited resource. You have a certain amount of it at any given time, and once you’ve used it up, you’ve got to let the rest of your brain catch up on other tasks. The best way to ensure you’ve got a constant flow of focus to support you through the day is to take regular breaks. Short breaks have been shown to increase productivity, and as a bonus, they decrease the chances that you’ll get distracted from your work and switch to another task. Anywhere from five to 20 minutes is a good amount of time for a break. You don’t want to go too long because you’ll lose focus before you come back.

Review your to-do list and decide on your 3 highest-priority tasks

Now that you’ve got your morning rituals down and you’ve taken a break, you’re ready to look at the list of tasks you’ve been trying to complete all week. Reviewing your to-do list can be a powerful productivity tool, but it’s important to use it correctly. If you’re just ticking things off your list, you’re only completing tasks, not boosting your productivity. There’s an important difference between the two. You may be able to cross off a bunch of items on your list, but if you’re not focusing on the most important tasks, your productivity won’t budge.

Only do those 3 tasks for the rest of the day

If you’re honest with yourself, you’ll probably find a few things on your to-do list that you can cross off straight away. They may be important, but they’re probably not urgent. You’ve got to be ruthless here. Any tasks that are low priority should go straight to the bottom of the list. Only focus on your three most important tasks. These should be tasks that fit the following criteria: — They’re important: The world won’t end if you don’t do these tasks. — They’re urgent: If you don’t do them now, you’ll miss a deadline, or something bad will happen.

And finally

Improving your productivity is all about getting better at managing your time. You don’t need to do more work; you just need to do what’s most important. This means you should focus on your three highest priority tasks and spend as little time as possible on everything else. Make sure you get enough sleep, find focus through regular breaks, and only focus on the most important tasks. With these strategies, you can be sure you’re spending your time as productively as possible.

Schedule everything!!

Set your goals and assign the time for each task manage your time with some easy tasks and hard ones

don’t let the work pressure ahead of you this can lead to a long time burn out.

Take small steps

trying to complete the given tasks in the time framework might be hard after all we are humans, right? Take small steps with each step try to cut the work down into small steps which makes easier!

Put your phone away!!!

yep, keeping your phone aside would do wonder’s even I was trying to complete this article from several day’s but I couldn’t so I thought today I would put my phone away and set time for writing this article so i did hooray! 🚀

Distractions are the most time consumers avoid them at any cost to save your time after all time is the most precious asset!

Use apps!

So, if you aren’t sure of scheduling your day here are the two amazing apps that I use daily to schedule my day and the hole week. These apps helped me a lot! Notion and todoist

Outsource small tasks

If you are a business owner or someone who is starting a business outsourcing the small tasks would save you a lot of time because of outsourcing tasks there are really good benefit's such as 1. you save time 2. you don’t have to get burnt-out doing everything by yourself would be tiering right! hey and also there is something i am a web-dev and solopreneur so if there anything I could help with, you're one step away 🚀

When i was listening to this audio book last week I thought I should definitely implement this rule so I did and the results are amazing, I always procrastinate with the little things as doing my laundry, cleaning etc, and when it comes to the day where i left with no choice but to do complete the cleaning process it takes a lot of time and effort than it normally takes so I have seen a great difference by using this 2minute rule here are some of the examples

We often procrastinate to do very small tasks such as

• Doing laundry
• cleaning our room
• putting things in place
• yoga
• planting the tree
• making your bed, etc.

Two-minute rule is so efficient because once you start practicing it daily, it becomes much easier to do it daily. Making a habit under 2 minutes helps you in the long run by compounding effect where it keeps adding on to your growth weather it is in personally or financially.

This idea of 2-minute rule is explained and written in a book called Getting things done by David Allen, he says

If an action is defined and which can be done in under 2minutes should be done instantly.

Advantages

• You kill the procrastination before you even think about it!
• It gives the momentum to start when don’t feel like it!
• help’s you to complete your task instead of procrastinating
