She shares her experience and the fight for visibility.</p><h4>About Zooey</h4><p>Zooey Zephyr is a progressive, bisexual trans woman, and the current state representative for Montana’s 100th House district</p><p>Zephyr has spent much of her adult life working as a public employee for the University of Montana, as well as working as a community advocate. She has worked to help university programs integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion practices into their faculty requirements, and has worked with the city of Missoula, Montana to draft human rights legislation tailored towards making justice more accessible to people who have been discriminated against.</p><p>As a representative, she fights for human rights — from voting rights to trans rights to working towards dismantling the cruelties of the prison-industrial complex. She also works to address what she sees as four of the big, interconnected areas where Montana is failing to adequately help its residents: housing inequality, health care, infrastructure, and climate change.</p><iframe src="https://cdn.embedly.com/widgets/media.html?src=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.buzzsprout.com%2F2116491%2F13978861-fighting-for-visibility-as-a-trans-person%3Fclient_source%3Dtwitter_card%26player_type%3Dfull_screen&amp;display_name=Buzzsprout&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.buzzsprout.com%2F2116491%2F13978861&amp;image=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.buzzsprout.com%2Frails%2Factive_storage%2Frepresentations%2Fredirect%2FeyJfcmFpbHMiOnsibWVzc2FnZSI6IkJBaHBCRXk2SFFZPSIsImV4cCI6bnVsbCwicHVyIjoiYmxvYl9pZCJ9fQ%3D%3D--ad53bab1b393a362d4ac325bb9a4b8c66c775442%2FeyJfcmFpbHMiOnsibWVzc2FnZSI6IkJBaDdDem9MWm05eWJXRjBTU0lJYW5CbkJqb0dSVlE2QzNKbGMybDZaVWtpRFRJMU1IZ3lOVEJlQmpzR1ZEb01aM0poZG1sMGVVa2lDMk5sYm5SbGNnWTdCbFE2QzJWNGRHVnVkRWtpRERJMU1IZ3lOVEFHT3daVU9neHhkV0ZzYVhSNWFWVTZEMk52Ykc5eWMzQmhZMlZKSWdselVrZENCanNHVkE9PSIsImV4cCI6bnVsbCwicHVyIjoidmFyaWF0aW9uIn19--7c01cea9791a272b28ad9ad979e61898eb50a271%2F17084978-1700070276615-a67a29c054a6d.jpg&amp;key=a19fcc184b9711e1b4764040d3dc5c07&amp;type=text%2Fhtml&amp;schema=buzzsprout" width="500" height="210" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"><a href="https://medium.com/media/d338a3d844262c2fffad2009fd535f6d/href">https://medium.com/media/d338a3d844262c2fffad2009fd535f6d/href</a></iframe><h3>Follow us on social media:</h3><p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/InterPride/">Facebook (InterPride)</a> | <a href="https://www.facebook.com/WorldPride">Facebook (WorldPride)</a> | <a href="https://www.instagram.com/interpride/">Instagram</a> | <a href="https://www.threads.net/@interpride?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==">Threads</a> | <a href="http://tiktok.com/@interpride">TikTok</a> | <a href="https://twitter.com/interpride?lang=en">Twitter</a> | <a href="https://linkedin.com/company/interpride">LinkedIn</a> | <a href="https://youtube.com/@interprideglobal">YouTube</a> | <a href="https://www.twitch.tv/interprideglobal">Twitch</a> | <a href="https://interpride.eventbrite.com/">Eventbrite</a> | <a href="https://mastodon.social/@interpride">Mastodon.Social</a> | <a href="https://universeodon.com/@interpride">Universeodon.com</a></p><h3>Listen to our podcast:</h3><p><a href="https://interpride.net/buzzsprout">Buzzsprout</a> | <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/interpod/id1600559359">Apple</a> | <a href="https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy82NjZlMzIwOC9wb2RjYXN0L3Jzcw==">Google</a> | <a href="https://open.spotify.com/show/3rTGTHZYdERfUOmpq8DZbA">Spotify</a> | <a href="https://anchor.fm/interpod">Anchor</a> | <a href="https://www.breaker.audio/interpod-1">Breaker</a> | <a href="https://castbox.fm/channel/id4580416?utm_source=podcaster&amp;utm_medium=dlink&amp;utm_campaign=c_4580416&amp;utm_content=InterPod-CastBox_FM">Castbox</a> | <a href="https://pca.st/xmxmq4hb">Pocket Casts</a> | <a href="https://radiopublic.com/interpod-85LdNx">Radio Public</a> | <a href="https://www.pandora.com/podcast/interpod-the-global-voices-of-pride-podcast/PC:1000653865">Pandora</a> | <a href="https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/1b514a61-f1a8-47e3-be5e-a714e3bd8fab/interpod">Amazon</a> | <a href="https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-interpod-106798623">iHeart Radio</a> | <a href="https://tunein.com/podcasts/News--Politics-Podcasts/InterPod-p1685451/?utm_content=p1685451&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=tiEmbed">Tune In</a> | <a href="https://goodpods.com/podcasts/interpod-the-global-voices-of-pride-podcast-244135">Goodpods</a> | <a href="https://castro.fm/podcast/4a1b81d8-e865-4726-b257-6c038b7cd2f7%20">Castro</a> | <a href="https://www.deezer.com/us/show/5625357%20">Deezer</a> | <a href="https://web.podfriend.com/podcast/1600559359%20">PodFriend</a> | <a href="https://player.fm/series/series-3437933%20">Player FM</a> | <a href="https://podcastindex.org/podcast/5970840%20">Podcast Index</a> | <a href="https://podcastaddict.com/podcast/4214791%20">Podcast Addict</a> | <a href="https://zencastr.com/InterPod">Zencastr</a></p><h4>Interested in being a podcast contributor?</h4><p>We want to hear from you!
