Background and Purpose

Junction Token ($JUN) will be the native utility token powering the Junction ecosystem, which includes all of Junction’s products, currently entitled with Junction Exchange and Junction API. The token will be issued as an ERC-20 standard, $JUN will enable cross-platform compatibility, offering seamless integration with major wallets, DeFi protocols, and a broad range of decentralised applications (dApps) on Ethereum.

The goal is to unify $JUN distribution by consolidating its initial token offering. Junction makes it easier for users to interact with multiple services, bridging the decentralised world of digital asset trading with the dynamic, permissionless universe of DeFi. The ERC-20 foundation is strategically chosen to maximize liquidity, interoperability and to ensure easy adoption across various sectors of the crypto economy.

Utility and Use Cases

$JUN’s value is deeply embedded in the utility it offers throughout the Junction services:

• Transactional Fee Discounts: $JUN holders receive substantial discounts on trading fees across Junction’s vast range of crypto products, including trading, earning and on/off ramp features.
• Staking and Yield Generation: Users will be able to stake their $JUN tokens in the Junction Earn section to gain passive income, incentivising long-term engagement and effectively reducing the circulating supply.
• Launchpad Participation: $JUN acts as a ticket for platform Launchpad events, granting holders early access to crypto launches and allowing them to earn rewards from promising new projects Junction will be investing in — fully on-chain and automated.
• Gas payment: Junction Exchange and Junction API will be able to be “gas free” leveraging the $JUN token as a payment rail, eliminating gas as a friction to navigate ecosystems and make trading more simple.

Token Supply

$JUN’s supply will launch at 100 million tokens.

The initial tokenomics structure prioritises platform growth and longevity, allocating tokens to development, community incentives, partner rewards, operations, airdrop and reserve funds.

Note: Allocation percentage might have a slight variation depending on the pre-seed/seed rounds' final allocation. Every update will be shared in advance — the total airdrop percentage is FIXED.

Governance

Junction will empower $JUN holders with governance rights, entitling them to vote on platform decisions that can shape the ecosystem’s future. These include:

• Deciding on major parameter changes (fee percentage, revenue sharing percentage)
• Approving major feature upgrades or policy changes
• Allocating budgets for grants and community initiatives

Governance proposals can originate from either Junction’s internal team or the wider community, with voting power proportionate to $JUN holdings. The transparent, on-chain voting system reduces the risk of manipulation and puts meaningful control in the hands of the community, further decentralising the project’s management.

Security, Transparency, and the Road Ahead

$JUN leverages Ethereum’s security standards and is protected through regular smart contract audits, multi-signature wallets, and cold storage practices at the exchange and wallet levels. But it doesn’t stop there. Our wallet modal lets you connect multiple wallets, not just across the same ecosystem, but across different ones, all in a single interface. You can move between them in one click, without having to reconnect or reload.

Introducing Junction XP

As we roll out Junction’s referral system, we also want to give users a simple way to track the impact they’re making on the platform.

That’s where Junction XP comes in.

Junction XP is our way of recognizing the value our early users bring — through real activity. Every time you swap on the app, or someone you referred generates fees, your XP grows.

Your total XP is made up of two parts:

• Trading XP: Earned from the fees generated by your own swaps on the app
• Referral XP: Earned from the fees generated by users who joined through your link and traded on Junction

You can view a clear breakdown of both in your Referral Dashboard, updated in real-time as you and your network continue using the app.

How to earn Junction XP?

Now that you know what Junction XP is, let’s break down how you actually earn it.

XP is earned based on the platform fees generated through your trading activity on Junction. The more value you or your referrals bring to the platform, the more XP you’ll earn.

Here’s a breakdown of how it is calculated:

Trading fees → XP Rewards

• $0.01 → 1 XP
• $0.1 → 10 XP
• $1 → 100 XP
• $10 → 1,000 XP
• $100 → 10,000 XP
• $1,000 → 100,000 XP
• $10,000 → 1,000,000 XP
• $100,000 → 10,000,000 XP
• $1,000,000 → 100,000,000 XP

The fee amount depends on the type of transaction:

• 0% for stablecoin swaps or bridging the same asset
• 0.1% for regular swaps
• 0.30% for crosschain swaps

Every XP earned is tracked live on your Referral dashboard — making it easy to follow your progress and rewards.

Introducing the Junction Referral dashboard

So far, we’ve covered what XP is and how it’s earned. Now let’s talk about how referrals play a role in boosting it.

If you have been on our waitlist, you already know how much we like referral rewards. And now that we are in beta, we’re excited to introduce you to referral rewards on the Junction app.

Referrals on the Junction beta are designed to reward real usage. If someone joins through your invite code and starts actively swapping, you both benefit.

Here’s how it works:

1. Share your invite code/link with others
2. When someone enters the app using your link, they’re added to your referrals table
3. After that, you keep earning XP as they trade on Junction, with a 20% share of their transaction fees.

So the more your referrals trade, the more XP you earn. And all of it is tracked in your dashboard.

It’s that simple: be active, bring in active users, and earn as they trade.

How do Referrals work on Junction?

To make the entire referral system transparent and easy to manage, we’ve built a dedicated Referral dashboard inside the app. This is your control center for everything referral-related — from sharing your link to tracking your progress.

Here’s how to navigate it:

Step 1: Get started with Junction Referrals

When you first open the app, you’ll see a prompt introducing Junction Referrals.

• If you want to join, click “Start earning”. This creates your personal referral link and opens your Referral Dashboard.
• If not, you can close the prompt and use the app as usual — you can opt-in later by clicking “Earn” in the top-left corner.

Once you join, your dashboard will be set up — and you’ll be ready to start earning XP.

Note: You can use the app without joining Referrals, but none of your activity will count toward XP, and hence the upcoming reward seasons. To unlock earning from your swaps, just open the Referrals Dashboard before your first trade — it only takes a click.

Step 2: Access your Referral dashboard

Your Referral dashboard is your hub for everything related to referrals — from getting your unique invite link to tracking who referred you and how much XP you’ve earned.

To access it:

➡️ Click on “Earn” in the top-left corner of the app
➡️ This will open your Referral dashboard

Inside, you’ll find:

✅ Your personal invite link and referrer (if any)
✅ Your total trading volume and total XP
✅ XP earned from both your activity and your referrals
✅ Number of confirmed referrals
✅ List of referrals (wallets that used your code), the fees they paid, and the XP you earned from each

It’s all there — simple, transparent, and updated in real-time.

Step 3: Enter your Referrer’s code (optional)

Once you’re inside your personal dashboard, you’ll see a field labelled “Enter referral.”

• If someone referred you, enter their code here.
• If left blank, your referrer status will show as “Pending.”

Once added, your code is saved, and any activity you do on Junction will start counting toward XP for both you and your referrer.

Step 4: Invite your frens

Once you’re inside the app, feel free to explore — but if you’re ready to start inviting others, here’s how to go about it:

➡️ Click on “Earn” in the top-left corner
➡️ This opens your Referral dashboard
➡️ You’ll find your personal referral link under “Invite frens”

This link is unique to your wallet. Simply copy and share it with others — when someone uses your link and becomes an active user, you’ll start earning XP based on their activity.

You can share the link anywhere: X, Telegram, group chats — wherever your DeFi frens are.

What is Junction?

In one sentence, Junction is a DeFi exchange that makes cross-chain trading simple — no matter the ecosystem.

Junction started as the routing engine behind Ctrl Wallet (formerly XDEFI), helping users swap across ecosystems without even realizing it. Behind the scenes, it handled the complexity: calculating routes, optimizing bridges, and abstracting complexities across 100+ chains.

Now, that same engine is being brought to the forefront.

Junction is launching as a standalone platform — starting with smooth, cross-chain swaps between ecosystems like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, and many more. No switching tabs, or keeping track of multiple platforms. Just one interface to move value across the entire space.

And this is only the beginning. Over time, Junction will evolve into a full-stack DeFi platform — with support for staking, lending, and more. All with the same promise: to make interacting across chains feel effortless (which you will learn soon, just stick with us.)

As mentioned, we’re launching the platform in phases. So, what phase are we in right now — and what happens next? Let’s get into it.

Junction Phases Launch:

We’re building Junction with long-term utility in mind.

That means shipping in stages, listening to feedback, and scaling responsibly. Each phase of our rollout helps us test assumptions, fine-tune the app, and involve our early community in meaningful ways.

Here’s how the roadmap unfolds.

Phase 0: Alpha (2024 — March 2025):

2024 was about laying the groundwork and getting the basics right.

• We launched the Junction website and introduced the vision
• Early users received alpha access to test cross-chain swaps
• We introduced Wallet Packages — a feature that lets users connect and manage multiple wallets (even across different chains) in one place

This gave us a real-world testing environment. It helped us observe how users interacted with the product, improve routing, and ensure the core system worked smoothly across supported chains.

Once the foundation was set, we focused on scaling — both the product and the team.

• Added new team members across product and engineering
• Expanded support for more chains and improved routing paths
• Began prepping for beta with a focus on performance and user experience

This phase helped us move from early testing to a more stable product. By expanding coverage and growing the team, we ensured the platform could handle real user activity — not just internal testing.

Phase 1: Beta Launch (April — May 2025) — Current Phase

This is the phase we’re in right now — where Junction goes live, but with control.

• Beta launch of Junction
• Access code-based onboarding for early users
• Active testing through community feedback, bug reports, and performance insights
• Tracking early users who contribute feedback for future rewards
• Ongoing improvements in routing and support for new chains

Instead of rushing into a public launch, we’re taking time to polish the experience. This approach allows us to test with users who understand the space and want to help shape the product.

What it helps us achieve:

• Stress-test the system under real usage
• Build a more intuitive frontend experience based on actual user behavior
• Reward and retain early power users who will lead the community in later stages

Phase 2: Growing the App (June — July 2025)

With the platform stable, the focus shifts to growth. Here, we:

• Launch the first version of the point system
• Referral codes go live — invite friends and earn points based on how much they swap (Detailed structure coming soon)
• Continue to improve performance on the backend to scale routing as more users come in

This phase is about expanding access, encouraging network-driven growth, and laying the groundwork for a community-led reward system.

What it helps us achieve:

• Bring in a wider, more diverse user base
• Add a social layer to user growth through referrals
• Start gamifying the platform activity in a meaningful way
• Let us test and refine the reward structure before full seasons go live

Phase 3: The Reward Season (August — October 2025)

This is where everything comes together.

We’ll introduce monthly reward seasons, each lasting around one month. Every season includes new tasks, fresh leaderboards, and a reset — giving everyone, new or old, a fair chance to earn.

Season Timeline:

• Season 1 — August 2025
• Season 2 — September 2025
• Season 3 — October 2025

How it works:

• In-app quests go live on the Junction platform
• Complete tasks to earn XP
• Climb the leaderboard through activity and referrals
• Leaderboard snapshot taken at the end of each season
• New season starts with a fresh leaderboard and new tasks
• Repeat

Consistent users and early contributors may unlock bonus boosts during the seasons. These seasons are designed to keep DeFi simple and fun, give everyone a fair shot at earning, and help us refine the user experience before launch.

What is Circle’s CCTP?

Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) is a bridge-free solution designed to move USDC seamlessly between blockchains. Unlike traditional bridges that lock assets in a smart contract and issue a wrapped version, CCTP uses a burn-and-mint mechanism:

1. USDC is burned on the source chain
2. A signed attestation from Circle verifies the transaction
3. USDC is minted on the destination chain in an equivalent amount

This process ensures that USDC remains native, fully backed, and consistent across all supported ecosystems — without fragmentation or liquidity constraints.

CCTP is currently live on 10 blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Arbitrum, and supports 90 unique transfer routes.

How does this benefit Junction users?

The integration with CCTP brings a host of benefits directly to Junction users. Here’s how:

• No wrapped assets: USDC moves directly between chains as a native swap, so there’s no need for wrapped versions or risk of liquidity shortages. This keeps transfers simple and reliable.
• Lower fees: Without intermediaries or external liquidity providers, users avoid extra bridge costs. The burn-and-mint process ensures transfers are cost-efficient.
• Faster transactions: Removing intermediaries also means no delays. USDC moves between chains smoothly, making cross-chain transfers as fast as a single transaction.
• Stronger security: Each transfer is verified by Circle. Since USDC is burned and reissued instead of locked, there’s no need to rely on third-party validators and counterparty risks are minimized.
• Access to 10 networks: CCTP supports 10 networks and 90 transfer routes. This means users can move USDC seamlessly across Aptos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Noble, OP Mainnet, Polygon, Solana, Sui, and more chains coming soon.

Hence, sending USDC across chains is a fast, direct, and secure process — no complications.
