The modest artist Marc Stone has officially surpassed Pablo Picasso’s record for the most paintings ever created, completing an unprecedented collection of over 13,501 artworks. This achievement exceeds Picasso’s lifetime total of 13,500 paintings and marks a historic milestone in the world of art.

After three years of intense work, Stone’s collection is now ready to be unveiled to the public. Unlike traditional paintings, his works are intricate creations crafted from granite, marble, and semi-precious stones, combining sculpting and painting techniques. Though small in size, each piece is unique and exquisitely detailed.

“The value of granite is second only to diamond on the Mohs hardness scale,” explained Stone. “What makes diamonds valuable is their rarity, and the uniqueness of this collection ensures it’s not just rare — it’s nearly impossible to reproduce.”

Picasso once said, “Art is not the application of a canon of beauty but what the instinct and the brain can conceive beyond any canon. When we love a woman we don’t start measuring her limbs.” Inspired by this philosophy, Marc Stone pushes the boundaries of artistic expression while incorporating modern technology into his work.

A Bridge Between Present and Future:

The TimeCapsule Project

In an era where society is deeply focused on the present, Marc Stone invites the world to reflect on the passage of time and its impact on future generations. As part of this vision, he has launched the TimeCapsule Project, an innovative artistic and historical endeavor designed to preserve today’s culture for centuries to come.

As author Harvey Mackay once said, “Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it, you can never get it back.” With this in mind, Stone’s project seeks to encapsulate a piece of the present for future civilizations.

The Time Capsule: A Legacy for Future Generations

A total of 8,888 artworks from the collection will be stored permanently on the blockchain, ensuring their digital preservation. The physical pieces will be sealed inside a TimeCapsule, which will be buried underground and safeguarded for a minimum of 100 years. Additionally, individuals will have the opportunity to include personal messages within the capsule, leaving behind a tangible legacy for humanity’s future.

The remaining works will be exhibited in a public art gallery or museum, with a new world record attempt in preparation, allowing visitors to experience the collection before it becomes part of a new, larger art initiative.

Marc Stone’s Statement

“Of course, this headline may seem bold, but facts are facts. Beyond the numbers, my collection actually exceeds 50,001 pieces. Each artwork is a fusion of sculpture, painting, and photography. I welcome the day when an artist surpasses my record with 50,002 pieces.”

Through the TimeCapsule, Stone aims to preserve time itself, securing today’s thoughts, emotions, and culture for generations to come.

Exploring the Future Through Art

As society undergoes rapid transformation, fundamental questions arise: Will traditional institutions — such as politics, leadership, and legal systems — continue to exist as we know them? How will technologies like blockchain and AI shape our daily lives? The TimeCapsule project offers a unique way to reflect on these questions and actively participate in the future.

By contributing to the TimeCapsule, individuals can leave behind messages, ideas, and reflections that will endure for centuries. As Stone emphasizes, “Even the simplest words can outlive us, serving as a testament to our existence.”

Who is Marc Stone?

“My name is Marc. I have a cat and a dog — Ginger and Layla. I doubt people will care about my pets 100 years from now, but I do wonder: what kind of pets will they have in the future?

We are mere grains of sand. We engage in politics, fight wars, live, eat — and then, suddenly, we no longer exist. Only the TimeCapsule remains.”

Marc Stone has been an artist for over 50 years, mastering both painting and stonework while maintaining a level of anonymity — until now. The TimeCapsule Project serves as his encyclopedic tribute to the present, transmitting today’s thoughts and artistic expressions to those who will live in the future.

How to Participate

For more information on Marc Stone’s work and to contribute to the TimeCapsule, visit:

Home - Time Capsule by Marc Stone

It happens that the NFT market is like any other market. Let it be fluctuating, when up and down, but it circumscribes a classic cyclicity after all.

This cyclicality is best observed on the real estate market. A friend told me a lot about cyclicality and who is involved in a real estate fund focused on distressed assets. I mean, I mean, vulture funds. The market rises, falls and if you are in the right place at the right time, you can close incredible deals.

The fact that a market goes up and down does not need to be proven…

It is also in the human way this approach of exaltation, of enthusiasm on a certain topic, then stagnation, and later slowly, slowly decreases. But then after you get “bored”, oops you’re in the mood again.

And just like that, we enter a cycle that actually gives us energy and zest for life and to move on.

This is life and because in life we have everything (and real estate and NFTs and… loves or other passions)

Gaussian curve.

The NFT market started from scratch in 2014. Now we are in 2024. Exactly 10 years! It seems that a new cycle is starting if we take the usual average of 5 years per cycle.

The world wants and expects some changes.

Headlines like (“NFTs are dead!”) are part of marketing.

The whales sit and wait.

But the reality is that every cycle change brings something new.

Maybe we need to bring some consistency to the NFts.

They are collectible but must also offer something more than simple “jpegs”

R-NFT means an NFT that has something real attached to the back.

It is more than an NFT.

It’s the Time Capsule.

Marc Stone

Marc Stone.

It doesn’t matter who I am; what matters is what I’m doing now. It doesn’t even matter what I’ve done so far. However, over half a century ago, my mother and father thought (I don’t think it was very much, but it was more of an instant) to leave a “Living Capsule of Time” for the next 100 years (ohh, I hope I was joking; I don’t want so many years). And here I am after years of activity in various fields where I kept intersecting with the field of art.
https://medium.com/media/d0e6ae77ce2eaff287aa25b603bf8ca8/href
Do an exercise !

What does 100 years mean? Let’s take, for example, “your years.”Take a sheet of paper. Set milestones. Divide it into twenty segments. That is, after 5 years, a milestone. Then write your life on that paper.

It’s simple, but the result after you see it on that paper can give you something to think about.

I’m not saying to be philosophers, to sit and meditate over a cup of coffee, to reach with our thoughts through the hills where coffee is grown, and to ask ourselves why the coffee bean has only one partition and not three or four like other seeds. Or why the earthly globe is not like a coffee bean? By the way, I like coffee.

Marc Stone is an artist ?

Marc Stone is an artist. That’s what my fans say. Painting, sculpture. He has a workshop where he carves, shapes stone. In fact, he does not shape it because he cannot afford to shape a stone that is hundreds of millions of years old. He is not so arrogant! Just try to give it a new shape in the same body. Because… you can’t mess with Mother Nature!
https://medium.com/media/300bda1df816bdda42037a50680f4bd7/hrefhttps://medium.com/media/48f256d3ecf0103b04a8f9beaabba4a7/href
Failures?

Of course, there were also some of these; they shape us, allowing us to learn. One of the projects that almost brought me to the brink of bankruptcy has a beautiful story. Maybe another time, I will write about it. Finally, as I said, what I have done so far is not very important. To look ahead, to think about the future through the lessons of the past seems natural to me.

And if you manage to separate yourself from what presses you daily, from everyday activities and manage to do even just a small artistic act, a drawing, a doodle, or anything else symbolic related to art, it means that you manage to overcome the state of being you’re just alive and you want to convey something through that artistic act.

You have probably also tried, at least a little, anything related to what it means to be “a little artist.” Or maybe you are already a name in the field of art. It is important to want to be able to break away from daily chores from time to time. Art, in principle, lasts a long time, in my opinion, because it wants to be a messenger for the future through what you feel at that moment when the artistic sense “hits you.”

“I am a slow walker, but I never walk back.” — Abraham Lincoln

Time Capsule by Marc Stone

Together with a team, I am launching the first Time Capsule in the world that wants to be an encyclopedia of the present for the future where the blockchain has its well-allocated place. Time Capsule is powered by an NFT collection that will be launched in the next period. Not in galactic space, but in the space next to you, as real as possible. Elements that belong to our life full of countless things that in the future will seem like a joke.

Time is fleeting; today we are here, tomorrow we are gone; we can leave a mark behind us. And in addition, all this effort is free. Everyone can convey a thought, a beautiful story, a message for those who will be in the future over 100 years.

I really don’t know what to write…

If you don’t know because you have too many options, and we know when you have too many options it’s hard to choose, choose a moment in your life to describe in a few words.

“Life isn’t a matter of milestones but of moments.” — Rose Kennedy

What do I earn if I send a message?

- A place in humanity? Probably… A Time Capsule allows you to be present in the future, through what you are in the present.

- You definitely don’t earn money!

“Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.” — Jim Rohn

-”Before my birth there was infinite time, and after my death, inexhaustible time. I never thought of it before: I’d been living luminously between two eternities of darkness.” — Orhan Pamuk

It takes two or three minutes to write a few words, but your words may last a few hundred years! Perhaps. Do words have power? Do you think the words are too simple? You’re wrong. Words, as simple as they are in essence, I know they can move mountains, bring butterflies in the stomach, destroy careers, save lives, destroy lives and more and more. And even start wars…

“Words are loaded guns.” (Paul Sartre)

Just some simple words…!

You will be able to contribute to a project related to human civilization. It is about what we are now and what will remain after us. In the year 2124.

“The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.” — Abraham Lincoln

Free of charge. The data are recorded on magnetic media, protected from the elements and then buried, at a later date.

“We need time to dream, time to remember, and time to reach the infinite. Time to be.” — Gladys Taber

Testimonials

“OMG! A surprising reason to learn about my current life. A moment of reflection.. But we can all agree that it is not possible to estimate the true value of happy memories” “Time Capsule is an opportunity to imagine a bit of the future. Through the present. Will there still be politics, countries, presidents, bread, cars, water, internet, blockchain, in a while?
