ContentAnchor

Best overall for simple, no-frills everyday tools

ContentAnchor was built by a friend and me after running into the same issue again and again. We kept using tools that claimed to be free, only to be asked to sign up or pay at the very last step, right when we needed to download the result. If a tool is marked free, it stays free through the entire process, including downloads.

What makes it stand out

No sign-up required at any stage

No hidden paywalls after processing files

Clean, fast tools that work directly in the browser

Designed for repeated everyday use

Common tools available

Image converter and image compressor

Add text or watermark to images

Image color picker and color palette generator

QR code generator

Word counter and alt text generator

ContentAnchor works well for anyone who wants to get tasks done quickly without interruptions or upsells.

Website: https://contentanchor.com/

2.

Why SEO Feels Like a Sinking Ship…

source: Canva

For years, SEO-driven content has ruled the internet. Writers meticulously researched keywords, optimized headers, and played by the ever-changing rules of search engines. And it worked — until it didn’t.

Something has shifted.

The landscape that once rewarded well-crafted SEO content now feels overcrowded, manipulated, and, frankly, exhausted. The people who built entire careers around ranking on Google are finding themselves scrambling to stay afloat. The question is: why? And is there a way out?

The Flood of AI-Generated Content

A few years ago, AI-generated content was easy to spot. It lacked nuance, sounded robotic, and failed to engage on a deeper level. But now, AI tools are churning out blog posts, articles, and even thought leadership pieces at an industrial scale.

This has led to an overwhelming surge in content, most of it optimized for search rather than for humans. When every query returns hundreds of near-identical articles, does ranking #1 even matter anymore?

Readers are catching on. They’re scrolling past the fluff, looking for real voices, genuine insights, and content that feels like it was written with care — not manufactured in seconds.

Google’s Constant Algorithm Shifts

SEO professionals have long accepted Google’s unpredictable algorithm updates as part of the job. But in recent years, those updates have felt more ruthless.

Rankings fluctuate wildly. Sites that once thrived on organic traffic are seeing dramatic drops overnight. What worked yesterday — long-form articles, keyword clustering, even backlink strategies — isn’t a guaranteed win today. And Google’s increasing focus on surfacing direct answers and AI-generated summaries means fewer clicks to actual websites.

It’s like chasing a moving target in the dark.

Search Intent Is Changing

People don’t search the way they used to.

With the rise of platforms like TikTok and Reddit, users are shifting their behavior. Many now turn to social media for recommendations, skipping traditional Google searches altogether. Instead of typing “best budget laptops 2025,” they’ll check a Reddit thread or watch a quick breakdown on YouTube.

This shift is subtle but powerful. Search engines are no longer the only (or even the primary) gatekeepers of information. And if people aren’t searching the same way, does SEO content still hold the same value?

The Trust Problem

There was a time when a well-optimized blog post was enough to establish authority. But audiences are becoming skeptical.

They’ve clicked on too many articles promising “definitive guides” only to find rehashed, surface-level content. They’ve seen websites rank high, not because they’re truly insightful, but because they’ve mastered SEO tricks. Over time, this erodes trust.

People are craving expertise, storytelling, and authenticity — things that don’t always fit neatly into an SEO checklist.

So, What’s Next?

Does this mean content marketing is dead? Not quite. But it does mean the old way of doing SEO-driven content is losing its grip. Here’s what might come next:

Expert-Driven Content: Readers want to hear from real people with real experiences. First-hand insights, case studies, and strong opinions will hold more weight than generic SEO articles.

Community-Based Discovery: More users will bypass Google in favor of communities like Discord, niche forums, and social platforms where recommendations feel more personal and trustworthy.

Deeper, Less Frequent Content: Instead of churning out articles for the sake of ranking, brands and writers may focus on producing fewer but richer, more valuable pieces.

Direct Relationships with Audiences: Newsletters, podcasts, and private memberships are becoming more attractive as businesses and creators realize they can’t rely on search traffic alone.

Final Thoughts

SEO content isn’t disappearing overnight, but it’s becoming less reliable, less impactful, and less human. The internet is flooded with optimized articles, but people don’t want just another keyword-stuffed post. They want depth, originality, and voices they can trust.

Maybe that’s not a bad thing. Maybe this shift is an opportunity — to write for people first, not algorithms. To stop chasing rankings and start building real connections. To make content that matters.

Because in the end, isn’t that what writing is supposed to be about?

Source: Canva

Update: I’ve been quietly building a small side project called Content Anchor (https://contentanchor.com/)

Most of the tools are free, and there’s no sign-up involved.

It’s meant for quick, everyday tasks like a word counter, image converter, or compressing a PDF. If that sounds useful, I’d genuinely love for you to give it a try and share any feedback.

— — — — —

Some technologies make headlines. Others work in the background, slowly transforming industries before we even notice. 2024 has already introduced a wave of innovations that are set to redefine how we live, work, and interact with the world.

From AI assistants that can plan your entire day to medical advancements once thought impossible, these emerging technologies are not just ideas on paper — they’re already making an impact.

1. AI That Works Without Constant Supervision

Most AI tools today still rely on human guidance. But new AI agents are changing that. Instead of waiting for instructions, these programs can complete complex tasks independently.

For example, imagine you need to book a trip. Instead of manually comparing flights and hotels, an AI agent could check your schedule, find the best options, and even book everything for you. Companies like OpenAI and Google DeepMind are experimenting with this kind of AI, moving beyond simple chatbots.

Businesses are already testing AI that can handle customer service requests, analyze legal documents, or even manage financial portfolios. While we’re not at full autonomy yet, this is a step toward AI that can truly assist rather than just react.

2. Quantum Computing Is Becoming More Practical

Quantum computing has been a futuristic concept for years, but recent breakthroughs suggest it may soon have real-world applications. Companies like IBM and Google are refining quantum processors, making them more stable and capable of solving problems traditional computers can’t.

One major area where quantum computing is expected to have an impact is drug discovery. Scientists can simulate molecular interactions at an unprecedented scale, leading to faster development of new medications. Banks and cybersecurity firms are also paying close attention, as quantum computers could revolutionize data encryption and fraud detection.

While quantum computers won’t replace traditional ones anytime soon, their growing capabilities mean industries will need to adapt sooner than expected.

3. Brain-Computer Interfaces Are Moving Out of the Lab

Interacting with technology using only your mind sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, but brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are becoming a reality. Companies like Neuralink and Synchron are developing devices that allow people to control computers and prosthetic limbs with their thoughts.

This technology has the potential to dramatically improve the lives of people with paralysis, allowing them to communicate and interact with the world in ways previously impossible. Researchers are also exploring BCIs for everyday applications, such as hands-free control of devices or even enhancing cognitive abilities.

Though still in early stages, BCIs could one day change how we interact with technology entirely.

4. Next-Generation Nuclear Power Is Gaining Traction

As the world looks for cleaner energy solutions, new advancements in nuclear power are getting serious attention. Traditional nuclear plants come with safety and waste concerns, but small modular reactors (SMRs) and nuclear fusion aim to change that.

SMRs are more compact and safer than traditional reactors, allowing for easier deployment in areas that need stable energy sources. Meanwhile, nuclear fusion, which mimics the sun’s energy process, promises nearly limitless power with minimal waste. Companies like TerraPower and Commonwealth Fusion Systems are leading the charge in making these technologies commercially viable.

If these innovations succeed, nuclear power could become a major part of the clean energy transition.

5. AI-Generated Drugs Are Accelerating Drug Discovery

Developing new medicines typically takes years, but AI is cutting that timeline down significantly. Pharmaceutical companies are now using machine learning models to design and test drugs at record speeds.

Insilico Medicine, for instance, has an AI-designed drug that entered clinical trials in under 18 months — far faster than traditional methods. AI can analyze vast amounts of biological data, identifying potential treatments much quicker than human researchers.

This isn’t just about speed. AI can also uncover treatments for rare diseases that were previously overlooked because they weren’t profitable for big pharma. In the next decade, we could see a shift where AI plays a major role in personalized medicine, tailoring treatments to individual patients.

6. Lab-Grown Meat Is Getting Closer to Grocery Stores

With concerns over climate change and food sustainability growing, lab-grown or cultivated meat is emerging as a viable alternative to traditional livestock farming. Companies like Upside Foods and Eat Just have already received regulatory approval for selling cultivated chicken in the U.S.

Unlike plant-based substitutes, lab-grown meat is real meat produced from animal cells without the need for raising and slaughtering livestock. The process significantly reduces land and water use, as well as greenhouse gas emissions.

While production costs are still high, continued research and scaling could make lab-grown meat a mainstream option within the next few years.

7. Smart Contact Lenses Are Bringing Augmented Reality Closer

We’ve seen AR glasses, but what about AR in a contact lens? Companies like Mojo Vision are developing smart contact lenses that integrate augmented reality directly into your field of vision.

Imagine checking your calendar, getting navigation directions, or receiving real-time health updates without looking at a screen. These lenses could revolutionize industries like healthcare, gaming, and productivity by offering seamless access to digital information.

There are still hurdles to overcome, such as battery life and display clarity, but the potential for hands-free augmented reality is closer than ever.

The Future Is Unfolding Now

While these technologies are still evolving, they are already influencing industries and daily life. Some may take years to reach their full potential, while others are on the verge of widespread adoption. Either way, the future isn’t a distant concept — it’s something we’re building right now.

As these innovations progress, they will likely raise new ethical, societal, and economic questions. But one thing is certain: the way we interact with technology, healthcare, and energy is about to change in ways we can’t fully predict.

After trying dozens of these tools over the past year, a handful have genuinely changed how I live and work. I’ve skipped the obvious ones everyone already knows about to share some hidden gems that have become daily companions, saving me time and expanding what I can do.

Lex: From Blank Page to Finished Draft

The blank page used to terrify me. I’d waste hours staring at my screen, writing and deleting the same sentences over and over. That changed when I found Lex.

Unlike mainstream AI writers, Lex blends into my writing process so naturally I sometimes forget it’s there. When I’m stuck, I highlight a paragraph and press Tab to have Lex continue my thought in my own style. What sets it apart is how it learns from your writing patterns rather than imposing its own voice.

What makes this approach work isn’t letting AI write for me. It’s using Lex to overcome writer’s block and expand on half-formed ideas. By treating what Lex gives me as raw material rather than finished work, I’ve published three times more content in the past year while actually making my writing better.

Actionable tip: Instead of generating whole articles, use Lex’s “rewrite” function to refine rough ideas you’ve already put down. Its strength is refinement, not creation from scratch.

YouChat: Beyond Search Engines

Regular search engines give you links, not answers. YouChat has completely changed how I learn about new topics.

What makes YouChat special is how it cites its sources in real time as it answers you, showing exactly where each piece of information comes from. This transparency means I can verify claims instantly without jumping between multiple tabs and search results.

The real game-changer is its ability to compare conflicting information from different sources, helping me quickly grasp different perspectives on complex topics without spending days sorting through contradictory articles.

Actionable tip: Use YouChat’s “creative,” “balanced,” and “precise” modes to adjust responses based on whether you need brainstorming, nuanced explanations, or factual information.

Finch: Clarity Through Conversation

Financial planning used to overwhelm me. Spreadsheets, calculators, and jargon created more anxiety than solutions. Finch changed that by making financial planning visual and conversational.

Unlike broader AI assistants, Finch specializes exclusively in personal finance and connects directly to your accounts. I can ask “What happened to my spending this month?” and get visual breakdowns comparing patterns over time. What makes it powerful is how it proactively spots patterns I miss, like subscriptions I’ve forgotten about or spending categories that have gradually increased.

I still talk to human experts for big decisions, but having Finch for everyday questions has transformed my relationship with money from avoidance to active involvement.

Actionable tip: Start by using Finch’s “financial time machine” feature to simulate different futures based on your actual spending patterns rather than generic assumptions.

Cursor: Learning Through Collaboration

Learning to code can be lonely and frustrating. Cursor has sped up my learning by acting as both teacher and collaborator.

Unlike other coding assistants that just complete your code, Cursor reimagines the entire IDE around AI collaboration. I can highlight any section of code and ask questions about it, request specific improvements, or get explanations in plain English. What makes it special is how it keeps track of our entire conversation history within the editor, giving it context that other tools lack.

For personal projects, we work together step by step: I describe what I want to build, Cursor helps me break it down into manageable tasks, and then guides me through implementing each part. This has let me create apps I couldn’t have built on my own.

Actionable tip: Use Cursor’s “Explain this code step by step” command to understand complex functions, then use “How would you refactor this?” to learn better coding practices.

Bioloop Sleep: Patterns in the Noise

Fitness trackers give us tons of health data, but numbers alone don’t change habits. Bioloop Sleep has transformed how I understand my sleep and energy patterns.

Unlike general health AIs, Bioloop focuses exclusively on sleep and integrates with wearables to analyze your actual data. What makes it unique is how it connects your daily activities with sleep outcomes using correlation analysis. It helped me discover that afternoon meetings on specific topics consistently affected my deep sleep two days later, and how certain foods impacted my sleep quality differently depending on when I ate them.

These insights have led to small but powerful lifestyle changes that improved how I feel more than generic health advice ever could.

Actionable tip: Use Bioloop’s “sleep experiment” feature to test one variable at a time (like screen time, exercise timing, or eating schedule) and get statistical analysis of the impact on your sleep metrics.

Finding Your Own AI Companions

The most life-changing AI tools aren’t always the ones with the most marketing budget or name recognition. The hidden gems I’ve shared have three things in common: they solve very specific problems, they integrate seamlessly into existing workflows, and they provide insights you couldn’t easily get elsewhere.

As you explore AI tools for yourself, look for specialized solutions rather than all-in-one assistants. The future isn’t about having one AI to rule them all. It’s about building a personal ecosystem of specialized AI tools that each excel at one thing that matters to you.

AI SEO

If you’re still living in the bubble that AI won’t take your SEO job, think twice. The comfortable narrative many of us cling to simply doesn’t match what’s happening on the ground. I’ve watched firsthand as tasks that once took days now happen in seconds, and the pace of change isn’t slowing down.

As someone who’s spent the better part of a decade in the SEO trenches, I’ve witnessed countless “game-changers” come and go. Remember when everyone thought mobile-first indexing would be the death of desktop-optimized sites? Or when voice search was supposedly going to render traditional keyword research obsolete? The digital marketing world loves a good doomsday prediction.

But AI feels different. It’s not just another algorithm update or new search feature. It’s fundamentally changing how content is created, discovered, and ranked. Let me share what I’m seeing from someone who’s watching this revolution unfold in real-time.

My AI Wake-Up Call

Last year, I was knee-deep in keyword research for a client’s website when I decided to experiment with ChatGPT. What would have taken me hours to compile, identifying semantic variations, grouping keywords by intent, and prioritizing opportunities, was completed in minutes. My first thought wasn’t amazement; it was panic. “Is this thing going to replace me?”

Since then, I’ve gone from fear to fascination to finding a balanced perspective that I want to share with you.

Where AI Is Already Transforming SEO

Content Creation

The most visible AI impact is in content creation. Tools like Jasper, Claude, and Notion AI are generating entire articles that would pass most human quality checks. I recently worked with a SaaS company that increased their content output by 300% using AI assistance, resulting in a 45% increase in organic traffic over six months.

Take BankRate, for example. They’ve been experimenting with AI-generated content for their financial guides. According to their SEO Director in a recent Search Engine Journal interview, they use AI to create first drafts that experts then refine. Their organic traffic has remained stable despite reducing manual writing hours by 40%.

Keyword Research & Analysis

AI tools are revolutionizing how we identify opportunities. Tools like MarketMuse and Clearscope use AI to analyze top-ranking content and identify semantic relationships between topics that would take humans significant time to discover manually.

I’ve watched as my own agency has reduced keyword research time from days to hours while actually improving the quality of insights. We recently used AI to identify a cluster of underserved topics for a healthcare client that we had completely missed in our manual research.

Technical SEO

Debugging technical issues is becoming more efficient with AI-powered tools. DeepCrawl and Botify are incorporating machine learning to predict which technical issues will have the biggest impact on rankings, helping prioritize fixes.

A colleague at a large e-commerce site told me they used AI to analyze server logs and identify crawl budget issues that were preventing important product pages from being indexed. Fixing these issues led to a 22% increase in indexed pages and a corresponding lift in organic traffic.

Where Human SEOs Still Reign Supreme

Despite these advancements, there are critical areas where human SEOs maintain a distinct advantage:

Strategy & Business Alignment

AI excels at pattern recognition but struggles with the “why” behind SEO decisions. Aligning SEO with broader business objectives, understanding when to prioritize brand awareness over direct conversion or how to integrate with other marketing channels, remains a uniquely human skill.

When I worked with a specialty food brand last year, the AI tools recommended targeting high-volume keywords related to general recipes. But understanding the brand’s premium positioning and target audience, we deliberately chose lower-volume, higher-intent keywords that attracted customers willing to pay premium prices. This strategic decision would have been missed by AI focused purely on traffic metrics.

Creativity & Brand Voice

AI can mimic styles but struggles to create truly original approaches or maintain authentic brand voice over time. The Search Engine Land team conducted an experiment comparing AI-generated content with professional writers, and while the AI content was technically sound, it lacked the distinctive voice that builds brand recognition and loyalty.

Emotional Intelligence & Client Management

Perhaps most importantly, SEO isn’t just about algorithms. It’s about people. Managing client expectations, explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and navigating the politics of implementation requires emotional intelligence that AI simply doesn’t possess.

I once salvaged a client relationship by recognizing the unspoken tension between their marketing and IT departments that was preventing SEO implementation. No AI would have picked up on the subtle cues during our meetings that indicated this organizational conflict.

The Hybrid Future: My Prediction

Based on my experience and observations of the industry, I don’t believe AI will replace SEOs, but it will absolutely replace SEOs who don’t use AI. Here’s what I see happening:

The rise of the AI-augmented SEO: Successful SEO professionals will embrace AI for repetitive tasks while focusing their human expertise on strategy, creativity, and relationship building. This shift is already happening. I’m personally spending 60% less time on data analysis and 40% more time on strategic planning by leveraging AI tools.

Quality bar will rise dramatically: With basic content creation becoming automated, the standard for what constitutes “good” SEO content will increase significantly. Mediocre, keyword-stuffed content will be even less effective than it is today. We’ve seen this with the Helpful Content Update, where Google is already getting better at identifying uniquely valuable content.

Specialization will increase: As AI handles generalist SEO tasks, human SEOs will need to specialize in niches where their unique knowledge provides value that AI can’t easily replicate. My agency has already shifted from being a general SEO provider to focusing specifically on healthcare and financial services, where regulatory knowledge and industry relationships give us an edge.

Technical SEO will evolve, not disappear: Rather than becoming obsolete, technical SEOs will focus on more complex problems like system architecture, user experience optimization, and advanced schema implementation that AI struggles with. Patrick Stox’s research demonstrates that technical SEO has actually become more complex, not less, as search engines evolve.

How to Stay Relevant in an AI-Dominated SEO Landscape

If you’re worried about AI taking your SEO job, here’s my advice based on navigating this shift myself:

Become an AI power user: Learn to use AI tools effectively. Understand their limitations and how to get the best results. My productivity skyrocketed when I learned effective prompt engineering for my SEO workflows.

Double down on strategic thinking: Focus on the “why” behind SEO decisions rather than just the “how.” Strategic thinking is where humans still far outperform AI.

Build relationships: The SEOs who maintain strong client relationships will always have an advantage. Focus on becoming a trusted advisor rather than just a tactical executor.

Develop cross-disciplinary skills: Combine SEO knowledge with expertise in conversion rate optimization, UX design, or content strategy to create value that goes beyond what AI can provide.

Conclusion: Evolution, Not Extinction

The question isn’t whether AI will take over SEO. It’s how SEO will evolve with AI as a central tool. The most successful SEO professionals will be those who embrace this evolution rather than resist it.

I’ve gone from fearing AI to seeing it as the most powerful assistant I’ve ever had. It handles the grunt work while freeing me to focus on the creative, strategic, and interpersonal aspects of SEO that I genuinely enjoy.

So, will AI take your SEO job? Not if you’re willing to evolve alongside it. But if you’re still denying its impact or refusing to adapt, you might want to update your resume.

P.S. I also built a 100% free tools site called Content Anchor (https://contentanchor.com/).
No signups or drama. And most tools are 100% free.
If you’re tired of creating accounts just to do small things like compress a PDF, this should make your life easier.

MOFU Content

Update: I’ve been quietly building a small side project called Content Anchor (https://contentanchor.com/)

Most of the tools are free, and there’s no sign-up involved.

It’s meant for quick, everyday tasks like a word counter, image converter, or compressing a PDF. If that sounds useful, I’d genuinely love for you to give it a try and share any feedback.

— — — — — — — —

As a small business owner or the only marketer in a company, juggling various roles can be overwhelming, especially when trying to connect with potential customers. Middle-of-Funnel (MOFU) content is your chance to engage with readers who recognize their needs and are actively seeking solutions. Think of it as having meaningful conversations with your audience about their challenges and guiding them toward the next steps in their journey.

In this article, I’ll share practical tips and real-life observations from my experience as a marketer to help you create and leverage MOFU content that resonates and converts interest into action.

Table of Contents

· 1. Identify Your Target Audience’s Pain Points
· 2. Choose the Right MOFU Content Types
· 3. Optimize for Search and Intent
· 4. Promote Your MOFU Content the Right Way
· 5. Include Clear Calls-to-Action (CTAs)
· 6. Measure and Optimize Performance
· 7. Iterate and Refresh Your Content

1. Identify Your Target Audience’s Pain Points

Understanding the challenges your audience faces is crucial for crafting relevant MOFU content.

Many businesses, including HubSpot, thrive by pinpointing common pain points. For example, HubSpot identified that marketers often struggle with creating effective landing pages. They addressed this with a guide titled “How to Create Landing Pages That Convert,” establishing themselves as a trusted resource.

👻 Actionable Tip: Use tools like Google Trends and AnswerThePublic to discover the questions your audience is asking. Create content that directly answers these queries.

2. Choose the Right MOFU Content Types

This is where most first-time marketers and small business founders fail. Different formats resonate differently with audiences.

Here are some effective MOFU content types to consider:

Comparison Articles: Buffer’s comparison of social media management tools is a good example of a comparison article. It helps potential customers evaluate their options, leading to increased demo requests.

In-Depth Buyer’s Guides: Shopify’s “How to Start an Online Store” guide not only educates potential customers but also positions Shopify as a go-to e-commerce platform.

Case Studies: Observing Crazy Egg’s detailed case studies demonstrates how real companies improved their conversion rates with their tool, which builds trust.

Webinars and Video Content: Zoom’s webinars on remote work strategies can potentially engage prospects and customers while promoting their software effectively.

👻 Actionable Tip: For each content type, create a checklist of essential elements (e.g., data, visuals, customer quotes) to ensure quality and consistency.

3. Optimize for Search and Intent

Your MOFU content should be discoverable. Implement SEO strategies to optimize for keywords that reflect your audience’s intent.

Ahrefs effectively optimizes its MOFU content around specific keywords. So, if you’re looking for some inspiration, Ahrefs’s blog is a good source.

👻 Actionable Tip: Identify long-tail keywords related to your product and incorporate them naturally into titles, headers, and content.

4. Promote Your MOFU Content the Right Way

Creating great content is just the start; ensure it reaches your target audience:

Leverage Email Marketing: Send newsletters featuring your MOFU content to nurture leads. Highlight the value they’ll gain from reading.

I’ve seen businesses like Mailchimp send targeted emails featuring MOFU content to leads, resulting in increased engagement and conversions.

Use Social Media Strategically: Share snippets or quotes from your articles on platforms where your audience is active. Encourage discussions and feedback.

I’ve seen Buffer frequently sharing insights from their MOFU content on platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn, driving traffic back to their website. In my opinion, this is a long shot, but still worth building an audience over time.

Retargeting Ads: Use retargeting campaigns to bring back visitors who engage with your TOFU (Top-of-Funnel) content, directing them to your MOFU articles.

AdEspresso has some great content on how to use retargeting campaigns to bring back visitors who engage with your TOFU/MOFU content.

👻 Actionable Tip: Visual engagement is extremely important. Be it images, GIFs, videos, or infographics, add them to your MOFU articles.

5. Include Clear Calls-to-Action (CTAs)

Every piece of MOFU content should guide readers toward the next step.

Dropbox is a perfect example of this. They successfully use prominent CTAs within their MOFU articles, encouraging sign-ups for free trials, and leading to increased conversions.

👻 Actionable Tip: Test different CTA placements and wording to see which yields the best conversion rates. Experiment with urgency (e.g., “Get Your Free Trial Now!”) for effectiveness.

6. Measure and Optimize Performance

To enhance your MOFU content, track key metrics such as engagement, click-through rates, and conversions.

👻 Actionable Tip: Use tools like Google Analytics and heatmaps to analyze user interactions with your content. Identify drop-off points and adjust your strategy accordingly.

7. Iterate and Refresh Your Content

Regularly update your MOFU content to keep it relevant. Don’t write it once and leave it without monitoring or refreshing it. Most often, MOFU articles or content doesn’t guarantee a first-time win.

I’ve noticed Neil Patel’s blogs being frequently updated, especially his popular articles based on evolving SEO trends, ensuring ongoing relevance and traffic.

👻 Actionable Tip: Set reminders to review your MOFU content every 3–6 months for opportunities to refresh outdated information.

If your small business is looking for a freelance B2B writer and marketer to help develop and implement an effective content strategy, let’s set up a call! You can book a time with me here: [Calendly Link].

AI Content: Yay or Nay?

So here’s the thing.

Every time I open LinkedIn, I see a majority of marketers saying how one shouldn’t use AI to create content, and the other half suggesting how AI can help scale up content.

Well, I’m on both sides. I don’t think AI content generators are fully capable of creating content that is valuable, engaging, and, most importantly, relevant. But I do believe that these tools have some potential in them — just not for what you think.

So, I did some digging into it. I spoke to 60+ people who wrote posts around AI content to understand what they love and hate about it. As expected, it was the lack of understanding of how to use these tools to your advantage.

Now, of course, the applications I’m going to talk about in this article might not be useful for all. And I’m definitely not going to encourage the use of AI content writing software to write your blog posts.

In my previous blog, I spoke about a few AI content tools that I recommend. I don’t use all of them, but I did try out each in my course of work to help others who are looking for the same.

But I don’t use them for content generation, but rather for ideation. So, in this blog post, I’m going to tell you how you can use AI without hating it and how you can use it to scale up your content efforts. Let’s go!

Table of Contents
∘ 1. Research, Research, Research
∘ 2. Content Ideation
∘ 3. Drafting Rough Outlines
∘ 4. SEO Optimization
∘ 5. Creating Social Media Posts
∘ 6. Content Repurposing
∘ 7. Editing and Proofreading

7 Ways to Use AI Content Software in 2024

1. Research, Research, Research

If there’s one thing AI content tools excel at, it’s research. Many marketers I spoke to admitted that AI content generators are not yet at a level to create original or in-depth content, but they can offer incredible insights during the research phase. Instead of using these tools to generate full articles, you can tap into their vast information libraries to gather statistics, summaries, and quick overviews of complex topics.

For instance, free AI content generators can help you scan various articles and present a summary of key points, speeding up the time you spend gathering sources. This helps you focus on adding your own voice and expertise to the article rather than getting bogged down in manual research.

2. Content Ideation

One of the major areas where marketers see success with AI tools is in content ideation. AI can assist with brainstorming topic ideas, organizing content outlines, and even offering suggestions on trending keywords. By feeding the AI content generator a set of seed keywords, you can receive topic clusters, potential headlines, and blog post suggestions, all of which can spark your creativity.

Even better, you can combine AI tools with keyword research platforms to create a robust strategy. AI can give you a running start by generating lists of topics, while your expertise is what will refine these ideas into something truly valuable and unique.

3. Drafting Rough Outlines

Many writers struggle with staring at a blank page. This is where AI content generators come in handy. Instead of using them to write the final piece, consider leveraging them for rough outlines or skeletons of your content. For instance, an AI tool can help you map out the flow of a blog post, with headline suggestions and subheading structure.

However, you still need to flesh out these outlines with your own knowledge and research to make the content your own. This is why relying too heavily on AI content generation for actual content production often leads to generic, uninspired copy that won’t engage your readers.

4. SEO Optimization

AI content detectors, especially the ones used by platforms like Google, are designed to spot over-reliance on AI-generated content. But here’s the catch: AI can also help you improve your SEO without falling into the detector trap. When combined with human insight, AI can help you identify the right keywords to use naturally throughout your content. Free AI content generators can recommend related keywords, long-tail phrases, and content ideas that align with current search trends, allowing you to optimize your content for better rankings.

The key is to use AI as an SEO research assistant rather than as the sole creator. This way, you ensure your content remains authentic and doesn’t get flagged by AI content detectors as spammy or irrelevant.

5. Creating Social Media Posts

Let’s face it — coming up with social media content day in and day out can be draining. AI tools can help you quickly generate short-form content ideas for your social media platforms. You can input the theme or product you want to promote, and the AI will generate captions, hashtags, or even entire posts.

However, remember that social media thrives on personal connection, so while AI can offer a starting point, you should always review and tweak the content to match your brand’s voice and audience. This helps maintain authenticity and avoids the risk of sounding robotic or impersonal.

6. Content Repurposing

One of the most overlooked but impactful ways to use AI tools is through content repurposing. Instead of creating new content from scratch, you can use AI to transform long-form content like blog posts into different formats such as newsletters, infographics, or social media posts. This saves you time and maximizes the lifespan of your content.

For example, after writing a 2,000-word blog post, you could use an AI content generator to summarize it for an email newsletter or create bite-sized social media updates. AI’s ability to condense information makes repurposing quick and efficient, allowing you to get more mileage out of your work.

7. Editing and Proofreading

Lastly, AI content tools are excellent for editing and proofreading. Many free AI content generators come with built-in grammar checks and suggestions for improving sentence flow. This can be a lifesaver when you’re rushing to meet deadlines or simply need a fresh set of “eyes” on your work.

While AI content detectors can catch grammatical errors or awkward phrasing, always double-check the final content. AI tools can sometimes miss the subtleties of human language, making human editing essential to ensure the text is both polished and engaging.

Final Thoughts

The love-hate relationship with AI content tools will likely continue as technology advances. However, the key takeaway is that AI tools should complement your content strategy, not replace human creativity and expertise. Whether you’re using a free AI content generator for ideation or an AI content detector for optimization, these tools can help you save time, generate ideas, and boost your content quality — if used wisely.

In 2024, as AI technology evolves, marketers will need to become more strategic about how they use AI content generators. Instead of fearing that AI will take over, focus on how these tools can amplify your work, making you more efficient while allowing your unique voice and creativity to shine through.
