In June, our founder Mike shared an update directly with the community on Discord and Telegram regarding the Creation Engine. As many of you know, it’s the most anticipated feature from NetVRk, and we’ve continued to put considerable effort into its development. While we had hoped to release it in Q2, the complexity of the system, combined with an internal shift toward long-term efficiency and stability, meant progress didn’t move as quickly as planned.

Rather than rushing an unstable release, we’ve been focused on strengthening the foundation of the team and the company. The good news? We’re now entering a new phase where we can fully shift our resources back to production. The Creation Engine remains our top development priority, and we’re confident that what’s coming will not only meet expectations, but exceed them in both usability and innovation.

Blockchain Update

Upcoming DAO Proposal
As mentioned in the previous devlog, we are currently preparing a new DAO proposal that would allow us to migrate NetVRk NFTs to an upgraded smart contract. This migration would bring several key benefits, most importantly, the ability to enforce royalties, which the current contracts do not support. Enforced royalties would help sustain the ecosystem and directly increase staking rewards for NFT holders over time.

This first proposal is not about choosing a specific technical solution. Instead, it’s meant to gauge whether the community supports the idea of migrating to a new contract. If the proposal passes, a follow-up DAO vote will determine the exact direction, whether that means a new Ethereum contract, an L2, or a different chain.

To start, the proposal will focus only on NetVRk Land NFTs. If the migration is successful and well-received, we plan to follow up with separate proposals for OG Avatars, Vehicles, and Bonus Packs.

To streamline the process and reduce short-term workload for the blockchain team, we’ve removed the option to qualify through Mine Runner, since access to the game is currently paused.

We’ve made the strategic decision to delay the launch of the NetVRk Marketplace so that it aligns better with the upcoming $SILKAI TGE. While the marketplace is fully ready, launching it too early could result in limited activity. By timing the release around the $SILKAI TGE, we ensure an immediate and meaningful use case, as early supporters of SilkAI will receive special NFTs that can be traded on the marketplace from day one.

Development Update

We’re putting a lot of focus on the Creation Engine, planned for release in Q1 2025. As one of our most anticipated features, it will allow users to build and customize their own virtual worlds with ease. And who knows, we might even be able to sneak something extra into this Alpha release, stay tuned for more details as we get closer to launch! Based on the technical insights gathered from the Alpha, we’re upgrading to Unreal Engine 5.5 while also refining our system architecture. These enhancements are focused on optimizing performance and ensuring scalability as we prepare for the exciting launch of the Creation Engine.

Blockchain Update

Staking rewards for those who qualified during Q4 2024 have been successfully distributed in WETH on Polygon, as usual. The new qualification period is now live! To learn how to qualify, head over to our staking site and check the requirements. We encourage you to qualify as early as possible to avoid any last-minute issues.

Your comments, posts, and mentions on social platforms haven’t gone unnoticed. They’re truly appreciated and make a huge difference in spreading the word about what we’re building.

In December, we introduced something new: the Content Collective Group. This Telegram group is designed for those in the community who want to take a more active role in shaping our social media presence. Members can suggest X posts they think we should repost, share their own ideas for new posts (including footage or videos they’ve recorded in-game), recommend posts we should comment on and help draft the comments, and share ideas for new posts or memes for us to post. It’s a collaborative space where your ideas can directly influence how we communicate and engage on social media. While we can’t promise to implement every suggestion, we always strive to find solutions that work for everyone. Additionally, we’ve opened up a dedicated price talk group on Telegram. From now on, all price discussions need to take place there and will no longer be allowed in the main Telegram group. NetVRk has officially been approved for hosting on Epic! We’ve been testing our builds in their development environment and are now able to submit release builds for approval. While there are a few final touches to finalize with their systems, this approval will address the previous issues with the Xsolla launcher (the launcher users download from our website), streamlining the process and improving overall performance. This also paves the way for us to reach a wider audience, making it easier for more players to access and enjoy our metaverse experience.

Development Update

Following the successful launch of the Alpha and the recent debut of Silk AI, our development team is turning its focus to essential system upgrades. We’re conducting a comprehensive pass to refine the core technology, which will result in improved performance, smoother gameplay, and significantly faster load times. These upgrades are all about creating a more seamless experience for everyone exploring the NetVRk Metaverse.

Initial reports from users after this latest update indicate that the fatal error issue some players faced when trying to log in has been resolved. If you experienced this problem, we encourage you to try the new update and let us know how it goes!

In parallel, we’re preparing for the rollout of the Creation Engine, a game-changing tool that will give players the power to design their own environments and build custom scenes. You’ll be able to shape and personalize landscapes in real-time, opening up endless creative possibilities.

We’re also excited to share our newly updated roadmap, which includes key milestones and development goals through 2025. A major highlight is the Alpha release of our Creation Engine, set for Q1 2025, which will let users build and create in ways not yet seen in any metaverse. Development Update

October was a defining month as the team dedicated countless hours to prepare for Alpha’s debut — a massive milestone for us. Server stability, user experience, and immersive visuals were our primary focus, and seeing the first wave of users jump in, explore, and share initial feedback has been incredible. For those encountering login issues, installing Unreal Engine may temporarily resolve the “Fatal Error” while we finalize an update, which we aim to release within the week.

We’re also excited to announce that in the upcoming Alpha release this month, you’ll meet Silk, our advanced AI designed to elevate your experience with dynamic, real-time interactions. Silk will bring a new level of immersion to the metaverse, making the experience richer and more engaging.

Beyond the technical developments, we’re also laser-focused on Alpha Phases 2 and 3 and the eventual ramp-up of a full-scale marketing push. Once the crypto market is ready, we’ll be diving in with the kind of high-impact campaigns that are set to establish NetVRk as a leader in the gaming narrative. This strategic build-up will let us capitalize on the momentum when the timing is right, making sure our message reaches the broadest possible audience.

Our blockchain team has been hard at work enhancing our staking contract, integrating it with the NetVRk Reserve Reward system to elevate the reward potential for our users. With smart contract updates now live, staking on Ethereum and Polygon is seamless and user-friendly.
