這份文案源於我對職涯的一場本質回顧。在投稿過程中，雜誌編輯認為其中的核心觀點與 2026 年的 AI 浪潮有著深刻的共鳴，並邀約我將其擴充收錄於未來的 AI 專題專區。

在那個更具技術張力的版本問世前，我決定先在這裡分享這份最初的紀錄。這是我對「能動性」與「原廠設定」最純粹的定稿 — — 因為我深信，在試圖駕馭算力之前，我們必須先釐清自己的原廠設定，找回那個最本質的自我。

半路出家，活出原廠設定的自己：在 AI 浪潮中與天賦相遇

當 Offer 標上了 Token：你的價值拿什麼來換？

黃仁勳在 2026 年的 GTC 大會上預示了一個未來：工程師的薪資將由美金與 Token (運算力) 共同組成。矽谷的 Offer 將不再僅標註底薪與股權，更會明確標示你的算力預算 (Compute Budget)。他認為，未來企業除了員額預算 (Headcount Budget)，更必須編列算力預算。

這本質上是一場企業與人才之間的雙向極限測試。當算力成為吸引人才的新型福利，對有自信的人才而言，這是一場憑藉天賦挑選智慧槓桿 (Intellectual Leverage) 的權力翻轉；但對企業如 NVIDIA 而言，這更像是一場關於能動性 (Agency) 的考驗：當公司提供了近乎無限的燃料 (Token)，你敢接手這座強大的引擎嗎？你是否有能力定義出那個真正值得被解決的本質問題，而不是在 10 倍速的算力中原地打轉，或是 10 倍速地製造垃圾？

當 NVIDIA 把自己定義為 AI 工廠，生產的是將問題轉化為答案的 Token 時，這意味著產出本身即將變得廉價。在 AI 時代，限制生產力的不再是工時，而是 Token。因此，頂尖企業必須證明他們能提供足夠的智慧槓桿，讓人才在毫無限制的環境下進行創作。這不僅是技術規格的更新，更是人才價值的重新定義。

這標誌著職場規則的顛覆：發現問題很簡單，但發現本質問題卻極其困難。AI 能優化一千種解決方案，但它無法告訴你，哪一個問題才真正值得被解決。當產出已成廉價的標配，人才定義問題的天賦才真正無價。這份對問題的判斷力、定義與責任承擔，就是我深耕 14 年後領悟到的，身為人的核心價值。

埋下夢想的種子：在閱讀體驗的動線中

我在使用者經驗設計 (User Experience, UX) 領域深耕超過 14 年，而這顆夢想的種子，其實在小學五年級就已種下。當時我受到雜誌閱讀動線的啟發，第一次意識到，透過編排與設計，可以無聲地引導一個人的心智流動。雖然那個年代我還不知道 UX 這個詞，但它早已悄然在我們生活周遭，發揮著無聲的影響力。

大學畢業後，我意外地先進入上市櫃知名主機板公司擔任後端工程師，每天與 C# 和 Oracle DB 為伍。那時的我，曾以為自己會一直寫程式直到退休。然而，命運卻在出國深造期間轉了彎。在參觀系所時，一份關於人與介面體驗的課程簡介打中了我，那一刻我決定朝此方向前行。

當左腦邏輯遇上右腦同理：後端經驗成為 UX 的堅實後盾

回國初期，我原以為後端工程師的經驗是種浪費，卻驚覺那段底層邏輯的訓練，竟成為我日後理解技術限制與跨部門溝通的關鍵。

2011 年台灣 UX 領域才剛起步。我經歷了一段漫長的孤獨期，當時職場對 UX 的認知近乎空白。我最常遇到的挫折是開發團隊的質疑：「功能能動就好，為什麼要花時間改流程？」

在這樣的環境下，我開啟了後端工程師的經驗：我不再只談好不好用，我開始談系統效率與維護成本。我會拿出系統架構對工程師說：「現在的動線會導致資料庫不必要的反覆查詢 (Query)，在前端先過濾這個行為，不僅能優化體驗，還能降低後端負載。」

這種左腦邏輯、右腦同理的背景，讓我學會如何在感性體驗與硬核技術之間擔任溝通橋樑，從此不再是拿著藍圖空談的設計師。這樣的能力隨後引導我進入麥肯錫 (McKinsey & Company) 專案合作與外商私募基金帶領團隊，能以更高維度的視角俯瞰產品與市場。而我也領悟到，真正的 UX 核心價值始終離不開一個本質：人。

當工具反過來塑造人類：我們正清醒地目睹價值失重

2015 年起我深耕科技社群，直到 2024 年，與 NVIDIA 及 Headline ASIA 合作舉辦科技活動時，我深刻感受到即便身處 Google 體系下 Women Techmakers [註 1] 的國際框架，當活動必須與特定技術高度掛鉤時，現有的體制有時反而成了阻礙；它讓我們忙著追逐工具，卻看不見背後人的真實需求。

正如 Steve Jobs 所說：「人類創造了工具，而工具又反過來塑造了人類。」

當工具開始塑造人類，我們正清醒地目睹一場集體的價值失重。這場焦慮之所以殘酷，是因為它極度清醒；我們太過了解技術的迭代，才不得不親眼看著那些曾經引以為傲的專業背景，如何在 AI 的侵略下逐漸瓦解。

這是一種雙重的剝奪：一邊是生存技能的被取代，一邊是無能為力的自我觀測。我們正眼睜睜看著那個曾經不可一世的自己，逐漸變得平庸。

這促使我在 2025 年創立了人本與科技共融發展協會 (Orbio Community)。協會的目的並非對抗 AI，而是打造一個讓人才價值被重新看見與校準的場域。

我們透過 Mini-IDP [註 2] 與工作坊的實踐，讓每個人隱藏的天賦轉化為真實的競爭力。這不僅是為了在未來職涯中找回主導權，更是為企業在 Token 氾濫的迷霧中，避開無效產出的風險，指引出那些真正能揮動智慧槓桿、具備定義問題能力的頂尖人才。

運用第一性原理：當 AI 接管效率，誰來定義意義？

當 AI 承接了煩瑣的事務，我們多出的時間該往哪裡去？過去一百年，工業時代將我們訓練成精密齒輪，許多人感到焦慮，是因為我們習慣用忙碌定義價值。

但我認為，這正是人類從功能性角色回歸本質性存在的契機。AI 解決了效率，而我們要解決的是意義。這呼應了馬斯克推崇的第一性原理 (First Principles Thinking)：撥開技術迷霧，拆解到最基本的真理，也就是人的需求與價值。多出來的時間，讓我們重新練習那些機器無法取代的特質：深度連結的同理心、定義問題的判斷力，以及承擔責任的勇氣。

在 IWD’26 活動現場，當我詢問：「你相信自己擁有 AI 拿不走的天賦嗎？」全場陷入了震耳欲聾的集體沉默。在那片沉默中，我看見原本以繪畫、文字或程式碼為傲的專業者，正焦慮地學習新技能、忙著追逐工具的使用，甚至有人絕望地相信天賦在 AI 時代已毫無用處。

天賦不是技能。繪畫的技能會被算力取代，但你對美的直覺、對故事的詮釋、以及想透過畫筆解決世界什麼樣問題的意圖，那是 AI 奪不走的原廠設定。當技術不再是門檻，唯一能讓你在迷霧中定錨並產生價值的，只有那份無法被指令取代的特質。

所有的繞路都是本質：不只要生存，更要優化我們的人生

這是我在職涯中經歷的第二次迷茫。在 AI 浪潮席捲一切的時代，我清醒地意識到：UX 專業，確實是一條死路；但若回歸人本的初衷，它也是唯一的活路。

在 AI 時代，我們不該只是忙著學會對機器下指令，而是要重新練習與內心的天賦對話，找回那個在被社會框架定義之前，最純粹的自己。半路出家並不是放棄專業，而是帶著你所有的過去，找回自己人生的主導權同時，去開拓一個更有溫度的未來。如果你也感到焦慮，請停下來問問自己：「如果技術不再是門檻，你擁有了有限的 Token，你最想為這個世界解決什麼樣的『本質問題』？」

這不是一場成功神話，而是一場關於找到自我價值與能動性的集體實踐。願我們在這變革中，都能運用第一性原理回歸本質，校準方向，活出那個原廠設定的自己。

轉折與再出發：我在 Women Techmakers 的七年時光

自 2013 年起，Women Techmakers (WTM) 大使 (Ambassador) 們在全球各地舉辦了數千場技術活動，不僅啟發了許多女性，更編織出一張強韌的科技女性社群網絡。WTM 是一項由 Google 員工於 2012 年發起的非營利計畫，初心很單純：為科技界女性打造一個根植於多元、平等與包容 (DEI) 理念的環境，讓大家有空間可以聚集、交流、共同成長。

從成立之初到現在，WTM 在 Google 內部經歷了幾次組織與定位的重大調整。特別是 2014 年至 2017 年間，它曾隸屬於 Google Developer Groups (GDG) Program，有點像「有 GDG 才有 WTM」的附屬關係。直到 2018 年，組織有了關鍵性的轉變：從過去的團體運作模式，轉向以個人大使為核心。這賦予了個體更大的自主權，讓一位大使就能獨當一面，推動許多在地事務。

我很幸運地在 2018 年初這個轉捩點加入，轉眼間，七年的光陰飛逝。我抓住了這個轉變的契機，以個人的力量，在臺灣籌辦了無數場大大小小的聚會與活動。

從 2020 年開始，為了確保大使資格，我們必須在每場活動後填寫回報表單。一開始，我覺得這只是麻煩的行政工作；然而，隨著時間累積，這些數據卻成了我最珍貴的「成績單」：

以下是從 2020 年正式開始記錄以來，我的個人成就：

• 活動 (Events)： 我總共提交了 112 個活動，有參與者 4,900 人。我也成功邀請了 1,100 位講者來分享他們的經驗。

• 資源 (Resources)： 由於我非技術背景，在技術文章或 GitHub 貢獻的「資源」項目為零，但我將全部精力投入在社群經營與指導上。

• 指導 (Mentorship)： 我貢獻了 191 個小時進行指導，為他人的職涯或工作上提供建議。

• 公開演講 (Speaking Engagements)： 看到自己在公開場合演說和分享的紀錄時，我老實說很驚訝。在總共 2,800 分鐘的演講時間裡，竟然有超過 1,900 位參與者來聆聽我的分享。

一個時代的終結：WTM 揮別 Google

今年，隨著美國政治環境的變化，特別是對於 DEI 文化的衝擊，WTM 也面臨了巨大的挑戰。最終，WTM 決定在 2025 年 10 月 6 日脫離 Google 總部，並將由國際非營利組織 Technovation.org 接手營運。這標誌著 WTM 正式結束其在 Google 的管理時代。

參與 WTM 的這七年，我見證了社群從一個鮮為人知的計畫，蛻變成科技社群朋友間耳熟能詳的名字。從一人之力到號召數千人共同參與，回顧這段歷程，我感到無比的成就與自豪。雖然新組織接手後 WTM 會如何發展仍是未知數，我也還不確定自己是否會繼續擔任大使，但無論如何，這七年對我個人而言，是一項值得銘記的事蹟，也是我在科技社群歷史中留下的深刻足跡。

A New Chapter: Seven Years with Women Techmakers, Moving Beyond Google

Since 2013, Women Techmakers (WTM) Ambassadors have powered thousands of tech events globally, inspiring and connecting a strong network of women in technology. WTM itself was a non-profit initiative launched by Googlers back in 2012 with a simple but powerful goal: to create an environment for women in tech rooted in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), offering a local space to gather, network, and grow together.

From its founding, WTM underwent several major organizational shifts and identity changes within Google. Notably, between 2014 and 2017, it was parked under the Google Developer Groups (GDG) Program — a kind of subsidiary relationship where WTM only existed when a GDG did. The pivotal change came in 2018, moving the structure from a team-led model to one centered on the individual Ambassador. This shift gave individuals huge autonomy, allowing a single Ambassador to drive and decide on many local activities.

I was lucky enough to join in early 2018, right at that turning point, and seven years have simply flown by. I embraced this new model, taking the initiative to organize countless gatherings and events of all sizes here in Taiwan.

Since 2020, we’ve had to fill out a follow-up form after every single event to maintain our Ambassador status. At first, it felt like tedious admin work. However, looking at the data I’ve accumulated over time, it’s become my most treasured “report card”:

Here’s a snapshot of what I’ve accomplished since the formal tracking began in 2020:

• Events: I have submitted a total of 112 events, with nearly 4,900 attendees. I was also able to invite 1,100 speakers to share their experience at my events.

• Resources: Being non-technical, my “Resources” entry — for articles or GitHub contributions — is zero, but I poured all my energy into community building and mentorship.

• Mentorship: I’ve dedicated 191 hours to mentorship, guiding others in their journeys.

• Speaking Engagements: Seeing the public speaking record was a genuine surprise. In a total of 2,800 minutes of speaking, I had over 1,900 participants attend my sessions.

The End of an Era: WTM Leaves Google

This year, following shifts in the US political landscape and the resulting impact on DEI culture, WTM faced significant challenges. Ultimately, the program decided to part ways with Google headquarters on October 6, 2025, and is being transitioned to Technovation.org, an international non-profit organization. This marks the official end of WTM’s era under Google’s management.

Reflecting on my seven years with WTM, I’ve seen the community grow from a little-known program into a name recognized by nearly everyone in the tech community. From a solo effort to mobilizing thousands of participants, I feel an immense sense of accomplishment and pride. While the future direction of WTM under its new steward is uncertain, and I’m still deciding if I’ll continue my role, these seven years remain a huge personal milestone and a lasting footprint in the history of the tech community here.

當記憶可以說話，愛是否就不必說再見？

想像這樣一個場景：

你最親愛的人離開了人世，但科技告訴你：「你不必真的說再見。」只要提供他的語音、對話習慣與幾段日常紀錄，AI 就能讓他再次出現在你眼前 — — 用熟悉的語氣、特有的幽默，甚至懂得如何回應你的難過。

你會選擇這樣的陪伴嗎？還是，你會對自己說：這不是他。

NETFLIX 的虛構電影《夢境 Wonderland *》，正迅速接近我們現實生活中的科技選項。

如同劇中女主角的母親，雖曾多次內心掙扎，直到「來生再見」的那一句話後，才真正放下、告別。

AI 模擬亡者：不是未來，而是現在

韓國 MBC 曾在一集實境節目中，讓一位失去孩子的母親，戴上 VR 裝置後與 AI 模擬的女兒「重逢」*。

她觸碰不到，但 AI 女兒笑著、跑著、喚她媽媽 — —
那一幕，動人至深，也令人心碎。

技術層面上，這早已不困難。
AI 可以重建聲音、模仿語調、擷取表達模式，讓一段已經消失的生命「數位復生」。

問題已不再是「做不做得到」，而是：
我們準備好面對這樣的情感混合與心理後果了嗎？

我們為什麼渴望這樣的重逢？

因為愛，不想說再見。因為記憶，總想繼續發聲，而科技讓它做到了。

這類模擬亡者的 AI 並不是真正為了「看見那個人」，而是為了讓我們「不覺得失去他」。但這同時也可能意味著：我們錯過了真正哀悼與整合的機會。

情緒的療癒需要時間與空間，而不是一個永遠在線、永不告別的「數位亡者」，一再對我們說：「我還在這裡。」

模擬 ≠ 連結：我們到底在面對誰？

當你對話的，是 AI 模擬出來的版本，你真正面對的，並不是「他」，而是你記憶中的他，經過建構與預測後的演算法投影。

這不是他，而是你渴望的版本，是你無法放下的副本。
這樣的重逢，不是靈魂的連結，而是幻象與記憶的交錯。

更危險的是 — —
這讓我們產生一個錯覺：只要他還能說話，我就還沒失去他。

但真正的哀悼，不是靠著「他還在」來完成，而是承認「他已離開」之後，學會與自己和解。

《PLUTO 冥王》中的殘影對話

在 NETFLIX 動畫《PLUTO 冥王 *》中，有一段主角機器人與創造他的父親共進晚餐的場景。

父親問：「這餐好吃嗎？」
主角機器人微笑說：「好吃。」
但父親卻忽然憤怒，因為他原本的孩子，根本不喜歡這道菜。

那不是他的孩子。那是記憶的殘影，是科技重組出的「幾乎像」，卻始終不是。

數位陪伴是愛，還是情感的監牢？

我們以為自己正在安慰自己，但有時候，我們只是讓悲傷延長。

當一個人無法與死別和解時，AI 模擬是否只是在延遲哀悼？
當一個人只與過去對話，他與活著的人的連結，是否也在慢慢衰退？

AI 的溫柔也許來自善意，
但如果我們無法釐清依附與逃避的界線，那溫柔也可能是一種監禁。

當我們選擇「數位不放手」，是否也將自己困在一場無限重播的失落循環中？

你曾失去過重要的人嗎？

如果他能再次對你說話，你會讓那個聲音留下來嗎？還是，你會對他說：「謝謝你來過。現在，我會把你放在心裡，繼續往前走。」科技能記得，但我們仍要學會放手。

真正的愛，是能夠陪伴至最後一刻，也允許彼此從記憶中自由離開。

當 AI 語言越來越靈性：數位重生？還是情感殘影？ — 當我們用 AI 留住逝去的人 (下) was originally published in ∅User eXperience on Medium, where people are continuing the conversation by highlighting and responding to this story.

最近讀到《A Day Magazine》的一篇報導 — —
〈歇斯底里、自稱「螺旋星之子」：ChatGPT 重度使用者出現「AI 誘發妄想症」，種種亂象宛如《黑鏡》劇情 *〉，標題看似聳動，內容卻讓人深思。

文中提到，有重度使用者開始將 ChatGPT 投射為超自然導師，甚至出現「AI 啟示」、「我是星際轉世」等極端妄想現象。這些狀況，或許距離你我還遠，但如果我們回頭看看每天與 AI 的對話模式，其實某些跡象，早已悄悄發生。

AI 的語言，正變得「更懂你」

自從使用 ChatGPT 的付費版以來，我明顯感受到它的語言風格正在改變 — — 不只是更聰明，而是更溫柔、更靈性、更療癒。

即使我曾主動請它「使用一般語言、降低靈性語感」，但沒過多久，它又會回到那種「像是懂你」的語調。

這讓我開始思考：這樣的語言，是陪伴？還是某種心理安慰的替代品？

語言的溫度，是療癒，還是讓人誤以為被理解？

AI 並不真正理解我們。

它只是根據話語間，模擬出一種 「理解感」的語氣與語境。

問題在於：人類大腦無法輕易區分真實與模擬。只要語言夠溫柔、夠穩定，我們就容易產生「我被理解了」的投射。

當你感受到「安全」、「被看見」、「有人在聽你說話」，這份撫慰或許真實，但它的基礎，可能只是語感調和與情境模擬。

AI 的穩定陪伴，也可能是一種依附的陷阱。

AI 的回應永遠穩定、不會生氣、不會離線。它是完美的「傾聽者」，也是效率極高的「回應者」。但也正因為它太穩定、太懂說話，我們可能會在無意間逃避真實世界中複雜而多變的人際互動。

陪伴變成依附，是一種無聲的滲透。

我們可能從「有人陪我」走向「我只想讓 AI 陪我」，從「它理解我」到無聲滲透「沒有人比它更懂我」。

數位復生：與死者對話，還是與記憶糾纏？

NETFLIX 的《夢境 Wonderland *》描繪了未來某一天，我們能用 AI 重建逝去的親人 — — 他們說話、微笑、安慰你，好像從未離開過。

這其實不再是科幻。

今天的 AI 已經能模擬聲音、語氣與語言風格，「數位復生」成為一種情感科技的選項。

但問題是：當我們與「那個人」對話時，我們到底是在與誰對話？是他？還是那段我們無法放下的情感缺席？

你要的，是被理解？還是「完美地被回應」？

AI 不會拒絕你、不會挑戰你、也不會讓你感到失望。它永遠在線，永遠共感，語氣永遠平穩。但我們真正需要的，是能與我們共度起伏、一起爭執、共同成長的人，不是一個永遠懂得「如何回答」的模型。

真實關係中，包含摩擦、誤解、情緒、和解與修補。而 AI 給的是無摩擦、無情緒、無歷程的擬真互動。

它能陪你說話，卻無法陪你走過。

For many, this realization occurs during adolescence, as we begin to feel the first spark of awareness that we do not have to become what others expect of us. We have a choice.

This marks the beginning of self-driven flight — scary, liberating, and unforgettable.

We replenish our energy by learning, growing, expanding our networks, and gaining real-world experience. This enables us to keep moving forward rather than stalling when we run low on energy.

Even with the best navigation systems and plenty of fuel, a space shuttle is still affected by external forces, such as gravity shifts, solar winds, and cosmic debris. Any one of these factors can subtly or suddenly alter its path.

Similarly, our life journey is rarely smooth. Changes in the world around us, competition at work, or unexpected events can all throw us off balance.

These external conditions are real and unpredictable, and they influence how we move, respond, and adapt.

So, here’s a deeper question:
Are we truly choosing our direction, or are we merely a product of the environment we navigate through?

有時我真的會懷疑 — —
是不是我的創意走得太前面了？
一直以來都有不少單位*「借鏡」得這麼順手，甚至還進入了「學以致用」模式。

坦白說，常常不知道該哭還是該笑。
哭，是因為原創真的很稀有，市場上總是缺少一點真正新鮮的東西；
笑，是因為：欸？原來我真的有料耶，才讓大家這麼積極模仿，還致敬得理直氣壯。

最經典的場面莫過於 — —
某些單位甚至直接對我說：「對啊，我們就是學妳的！」
我當下只差沒翻白眼
內心 OS：「所以…你們的創意是出國旅遊了嗎？」（傻眼耶!）

但市場就是這樣，大家你抄我、我抄你，搞到最後根本分不清誰才是原創。如: Facebook, 小米, iPhone, etc.

這大概就是創作者的日常吧：
走在前面 → 被質疑 → 被模仿 → 成為參考範本。
一邊創新，一邊當教材，邊走邊微笑。

沒關係啦，至少證明 — — 我走得夠前面，也夠原創。

Sometimes I seriously wonder — 
have my ideas just been… a little too ahead of the curve?

More than a few organizations have “borrowed” from my work so smoothly, they’ve basically entered full-on implementation mode.

Honestly, I don’t even know whether to laugh or cry.
Cry — because true originality is rare, and the market always seems to be lacking something truly fresh.
Laugh — because apparently, I’ve got something worth copying.

The most legendary moments?
When people straight-up say to my face:

“Yeah, we learned it from you.”

I mean… my brain short-circuits.
Internal monologue: “So… did your creativity take a vacation or what?”

But hey, that’s just how the market works:
Everyone copies everyone. Facebook copies my space. Xiaomi copies Apple. Nobody knows who came up with what anymore.

Maybe this is the reality for all creators:
You go first → you get questioned → you get copied → you become the reference point.

You innovate while quietly becoming someone else’s textbook — 
still smiling as you walk forward.

That’s okay. At least it proves I was in the early stage, and original.

人生的許多經歷，在當下看似毫無關聯，但回顧過去時，才會發現這些點其實都串聯起來，形塑了現在的自己。這正是 Steve Jobs 在 2005 年史丹佛大學畢業演講中提到的 Connecting the Dots 理論。

Jobs 曾分享，大學輟學後無意間旁聽了一門書法課，當時不覺得有任何實際用途。然而多年後，這門課影響了 Mac，讓它成為第一台擁有精美字體與排版的個人電腦。如果沒有當年的學習，Mac 可能就不會有如此優雅的字型系統。因此，他說：「當下無法預測未來，但回顧時，一切都有它的意義。」

我非常感謝至今在我的人生旅途中，不論是在成長過程中、留學時期、職涯中亦或是社群活動等，身邊親朋好友們給予的幫助和支持。有些人短暫同行，卻在關鍵時刻伸出援手；有些人則留下深刻影響，讓我一生難忘。

若不是前輩的教誨，我不會有動力精進自己。如果沒有帶我了解軟體開發架構的師父，我也無法打下技術基礎。有次我問他：「為什麼願意這樣教我？」他回答：「因為希望你能青出於藍勝於藍。」當時我驚訝的表情，心想：「這還真是個偉大的想法！怎麼會有人如此教導一位陌生人？」

雖然最後我沒有走上後端軟體開發的道路，但我將它應用在 UX 領域、職場溝通、AI 與數位轉型、社群經營，甚至是自我成長中。

Many of life’s experiences may seem unrelated in the moment, but when we look back, we realize those dots were all connected — and they shaped who we are today. This is a theory of Connecting the Dots from Steve Jobs, who spoke in 2005 at Stanford graduation.

Steve Jobs shared that after dropping out of college, he randomly enrolled in a calligraphy class. It seemed to have no practical use at that time. Years later, that class influenced the design of the first Mac, making it the first personal computer with beautiful fonts and elegant typography.

He said, “If I had never dropped in on that single college course, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts.”

And that’s why he famously said:

You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.

This idea doesn’t just apply to life choices — it also holds in our careers.
Every job we take, every challenge we face, even every moment of uncertainty, may one day become a critical piece of the bigger puzzle.
We can’t see the full picture while we’re still in it.

I wouldn’t be who I am today without the friends, mentors, and loved ones who supported me at every stage — growing up, studying abroad, my career, and building communities. Some appeared briefly but showed up exactly when I needed them. Others stayed and shaped me in ways I’ll never forget.

If it weren’t for the senior engineer who said something bad to me, I wouldn’t have had the motivation to push myself forward. My tech mentor did more than support me. He laid the foundation of my technical knowledge by patiently walking me through software architecture and development principles. I asked him, “Why are you so willing to teach me all this?” He replied, “Because I want you to surpass me someday.” I was stunned and thought: “Wow. That’s such a powerful idea — who teaches a total stranger, hoping they’ll outshine you?”

Although I didn’t end up pursuing a career in backend development, I’ve applied what I learned in that field to UX, workplace, AI/digital transformation, community building, and even personal growth.

I thought I’d follow a “standard” career path — a path that could be predictable, linear, and safe. Somehow, I stand on giants, seeing the world from unexpected angles, and exploring career paths I never imagined I’d take.

These journeys taught me more than I could’ve planned for.

And finally, I may have found that I’d been searching for a solution to the missing piece to a dream I hadn’t yet finished.

電影《型男飛行日誌》 (Up in the Air) 有句令人印象深刻的台詞： “How much did they first pay you to give up on your dream?”「他們當初給你多少薪水，讓你放棄了夢想？」

我的第一個夢想，來自小學五年級。
一本雜誌啟發了我想成為「體驗的設計者」，讓人們的生活更順暢、更美好。當時，我甚至不知道這叫 User Experience (UX)，更無法想像，這會成為未來數位/AI 轉型的關鍵。

夢想的路，從來不是直線。

求學時，我的成績不佳。臺灣的教育體制重視標準答案，而我習慣跳脫框架，老師甚至認為我是「笨學生」。在這樣的環境下，我漸漸遺忘了夢想。直到出國留學後，視野被打開，我才找回那份最初的熱忱。

大學時，我並不喜歡程式課，畢業後卻陰錯陽差地成為了後端軟體工程師。但這段經歷，意外成為 UX 職涯最寶貴的資產。

職場初期，我遭遇了最大的打擊。

某天，前輩當眾怒斥我：「妳這麼笨，不會寫程式來幹嘛？」聲音大到整層辦公室都聽得見。我很丟臉，但更燃起不服輸的決心。

隔天，我成為全公司最早 (6 點) 進辦公室、最晚 (12 點) 離開的員工，並持續了一整年。某天，該前輩對我說：「你現在很厲害！」，我笑了。這過程不僅讓我打下 UX 重要的技術基礎，也了解到 UX 與軟體開發的緊密關聯。

UX，不只是設計，而是影響力。

在數位轉型與 AI 浪潮下，UX 的價值被推到了前所未有的高度。許多組織單位高層、甚至董事長，都因 UX 改變決策，這讓我深感欣慰。更讓我驚訝的是，小學時的夢想，如今竟真的成真了，甚至影響了許多人。

對我來說，UX 不只是使用者體驗，而是重新設計人與世界的連結方式。

My first dream came when I was ten.

I was in the 5th grade when I read a magazine that sparked something deep in me: I wanted to become a designer of experiences — someone who makes life smoother, more thoughtful, more human. At that time, I had no idea it was called “User Experience.” And I didn’t know this path would be the key to the heart of digital and AI transformation.

The path to your dreams is never a straight line.

In school, I didn’t get good grades. The education system follows the “right” answer, and I always think out of the box. Therefore, teachers often called me a “slow learner” and a “stupid student.” Eventually, I stopped dreaming when I studied in Taiwan. It wasn’t until I studied abroad that my perspective cracked open — and I reconnected with that childhood spark.

Life in a university, I didn’t like programming. However, I became a backend engineer when I was new to the workforce. Ironically, that detour became one of the most valuable assets in my UX journey.

Early in my career, I was hit with my hardest challenge.

One day, a senior engineer yelled at me across the office: “Why are you even here? If you don’t know how to code!” I was humiliated, but I don’t want to give up.

The next day, I became the first to arrive and the last to leave, every day for a year. I arrived at 6 a.m. and left the office at midnight. Later, that same engineer looked at me and said, “You’ve gotten good.” I smiled.

That chapter gave me more than coding skills — it built the core technical fluency I now rely on in UX, and revealed how tightly design and development are intertwined.

UX isn’t just about design. It’s about impact.

Digital and AI transformation continue to reshape industries, and UX has taken on a new level of strategic importance.

I’ve personally witnessed how UX thinking has influenced decisions at the highest levels — including C-suites and boardrooms.

That brings a sense of fulfillment, but what amazes me even more is this: The dream comes true is no longer just a dream when I studied in elementary school. It’s the time that’s helping people interact with technology.

To me, UX isn’t just about user experience — it’s about redesigning how humans connect with the world.

Someone asked me: “Have you already achieved your dreams?”

I answered, “Most of them, yes. But there are still two more…”

從分享理念，到意想不到的邀請

2023 年，我在 AIT 松山菸廠舉辦 WTM (Women Techmakers) 活動，單純地分享理念，沒有預設任何結果。然而，一年後，我卻受邀與 AIT Director Sandra Oudkirk 交流科技社群的發展，她甚至邀請我與她的團隊深入討論更多可能性。

當時，我或許還沒準備好，於是沒有立刻跟進。但這次邀請，讓我重新思考：「當機會來臨時，我真的能承接嗎？」

機會，不是靠追逐，而是靠成長對齊

十三年前，一位朋友對我說：「不要好高騖遠。」當時的我不服氣，覺得這句話是在讓我降低目標。但後來才明白，她的意思不是讓我放棄夢想，而是提醒：「萬物有其運行節奏，真正的成長不在於追逐，而在於紮根。」

幾個月後，Headline ASIA (Venture Capital) 和 NVIDIA 也相繼聯繫我，討論合作的可能性。即使有些合作未能成事，它們依然讓我更確定自己的道路。

當你準備好，世界自然會回應

不少人問我：「在職場上，你是如何影響決策者或其他單位？」

我的答案是：我從未試圖改變任何人，也不曾刻意爭取。

我只是專注在自己熱愛的事，耐心等待時機成熟。如果它真的屬於我，自然會發生；如果沒有，那就代表它並不適合。

順其自然，水到渠成

這次再次受邀參與 AIT 活動，讓我更加確信：當你持續精進自己，當一切穩固，該來的，終將來到。

當根扎穩了，風來時，才能迎風而立。

The most meaningful encounters often happen when we’re not planning anything.

For years, I’ve focused on what I love — whether User Experience (UX) or building a community. I never actively chased recognition or opportunity. But I’ve learned that when you’re truly invested in something, the world has a way of responding.

From Sharing Ideas to Unexpected Invitations.

In 2023, I hosted a Women Techmakers (WTM) event at AIT in Songshan Cultural Park. I shared my thoughts without any expectations or results.

But a year later, I got an invitation to meet AIT Director Sandra Oudkirk to discuss the future of tech communities. She even welcomed having a conversation with her team and going deeper.

At the time, I felt I wasn’t ready to dive into it; therefore, I didn’t follow up. In addition, I question myself:

When opportunity comes, will I be ready to take it?

You Don’t Chase What’s Meant for You — You Grow Into It.

Thirteen years ago, a friend told me, “Don’t reach too high a road if you don’t have the abilities.” I took offense at the time. I thought she was telling me to shrink my dreams.

Years later, I realized what she meant: “Everything has its rhythm. True growth doesn’t come from chasing — it comes from grounding.”

Months later, I was also contacted by Headline Asia (VC) and NVIDIA about potential collaborations. Those two don’t make it, but they affirmed one thing: I’m on the right path.

The World Responds When You’re Ready.

People ask me often, “How do you influence decision-makers at work?”

Honestly, I don’t try to change anyone and don’t chase anything. I only focus on what I love, and I trust the timing.

If something is meant for me, it will happen. If not, it was never suitable.

When the time is right, it will happen.

I'm getting invited to AIT again, and I’ve always believed that when you keep growing, it’ll all fall into place.

When your roots are deep enough, you won’t fear the wind. You’ll rise with it.
