Root & Staff Accounts Bridging Web2 and Web3

In Web3 marketplaces, zkLogin has become a common authentication model. By design, it enforces a strict one-account–one-wallet relationship, giving each account a clear and auditable ownership model.

This works well at the protocol level, but real-world seller operations do not always follow the same assumption.

From feedback across multiple sellers, we found that enterprise sellers operate very differently from individual sellers. In Web2 environments, a single account rarely handles everything. Listing management, customer communication, and delivery are often handled by different people at different times.

The problem is that in a Web3 marketplace like OVERTAKE, we cannot simply ask teams to share a wallet or a single login. Doing so would weaken security and directly break the core assumptions of zkLogin.

To solve this, we are designing a Root & Staff account model that preserves zkLogin while supporting team-based seller operations.

At the core of this approach is an account hierarchy.

The Root (Owner) account remains the sole zkLogin-authenticated account and the only entity that owns the wallet and performs on-chain, signature-required actions.

Staff accounts are linked to the Root account and authenticate independently via email. They do not own wallets and cannot perform signing actions, but they can assist with scoped seller operations such as chat, order handling, and delivery workflows.

This allows seller teams to collaborate safely, working asynchronously and in parallel, without sharing wallets or compromising account ownership.

The Root & Staff account model is currently under active development and has not been released yet.

Our goal is to support enterprise seller workflows while keeping OVERTAKE’s security model and zkLogin foundations intact.

2025 was a defining year for OVERTAKE.

Not because of one launch, one metric, or one announcement but because it was the year we changed who we are.
We entered 2025 as a GameFi platform focused on publishing and on-chain gameplay. We’re closing it as a Game Asset Trading Marketplace, focused on one clear mission Giving players real ownership over the value they grind for.
This wasn’t a sudden pivot. It was the result of learning, shipping, listening, and following the data even when it pushed us to rethink our original identity.

Why We Changed Our Identity

In 2025, we evolved from a GameFi platform into a Game Asset Trading Marketplace.
Not as a pivot away from gaming, but as a focus on where ownership, liquidity, and scale already exist.
Digital asset trading is already a proven, global business. Our sister platforms ItemBay and ItemMania operate at scale with millions of users and hundreds of millions in annual volume.
OVERTAKE brings that model on-chain.
Instead of building games and hoping players trade, we rebuilt the trading experience itself for the Web3 era.
No middlemen
No lock-ins
No unnecessary friction
Just Trade, with ownership handled quietly and securely in the background.
This shift marked the launch of the OVERTAKE Marketplace.

Why We Migrated to Sui

To make ownership invisible and trading seamless, infrastructure matters. and for that we chose Sui because it allowed us to design a marketplace that feels fast, familiar, and frictionless and more importantly safe to everyday gamers.
Sui enables

• Wallet UX that doesn’t intimidate non-crypto-native users

We didn’t choose Sui for marketing reasons.
We chose it because it gets out of the way.

The OVERTAKE journey began in February 2025 and with that followed our open beta marketplace in which launched in October 2025.

This growth didn’t come from incentives or speculation.
It came from real supply, real demand, and real ownership.

Or, more precisely, on the best Game Asset P2P platform?

Would it be faster? Safer? Maybe smarter?

Sure, but more than that, what would it feel like?

Would it feel like a transaction? Or a conversation?

We all use chat every day.

But in P2P, have you ever stopped to think about what chat is supposed to be?

Right now, most of it isn’t great.

It’s just another inbox. Messages float around with no real context.

You talk here, check product info somewhere else, and maybe copy a link or two.

That’s not what peer-to-peer should feel like.

If anything, chat should be the center of it all.

It’s where trust forms, where deals are made, and where everything happens in one continuous flow.

That idea became the starting point for our first Fix Log: Chat, rebuilt for real P2P.

The Heartbeat of P2P

At OVERTAKE, we’ve never seen peer-to-peer as just a transaction type. It’s a human interaction, a moment where trust, intent, and value move between two people who might never meet. If that’s true, then chat isn’t a background feature.

It’s the heartbeat. The space where everything connects: conversation, context, and completion. Every great trade starts with a message. A buyer asks, a seller responds, and a deal begins to take shape.

But in most marketplaces, that conversation is treated like an afterthought when it should be the center of the experience.

That belief shaped our first ongoing improvement: FIX LOG 1: Chat, rebuilt for real P2P.

The Problem: Fragmented Conversations

During our beta, we noticed something important. Users weren’t just struggling with listings or escrow. They were struggling with communication flow. Every deal required constant context switching.

Buyers had to jump between chats and listings just to confirm what they were even talking about. Sellers juggled multiple buyers in a single inbox, without knowing which conversations were tied to active trades.

And when something went wrong, they had to leave the chat to find support elsewhere.

In short, the conversation, the very core of the P2P experience, was scattered across too many surfaces.

We’re now working to fix that, not by making chat prettier, but by making it purposeful.

The Hypothesis: Chat as the Operating System of P2P

If chat is where every trade begins and ends, it should function like the operating system for that trade.

What if every key action such as negotiating, viewing an item, confirming payment, or leaving feedback could happen in that same space?

No more switching tabs, losing context, or breaking the flow.

That’s the direction we’re building toward.

Chat shouldn’t orbit the transaction. The transaction should orbit the chat.

The Fixes We’re Building

1. Seller and Buyer Focused Experiences

The Telegram app is free for everyone to use. But one of the main features of Telegram Premium is the folder system.

That small feature, organizing conversations into focused spaces, changes how people manage communication at scale.

Not everyone chats the same way.

A seller managing ten listings has different needs from a buyer browsing one item.

So we’re developing two separate environments.

Seller Chat: structured for speed, clarity, and scale. Sellers will be able to move quickly between multiple ongoing conversations, manage listings, and track trade progress.

Buyer Chat: simpler and more guided, focused on understanding the product and moving smoothly toward a decision.

We’re also adding state-based organization for both sides.

Chats will be divided into three tabs:

In Trade: ongoing deals that require attention.

Completed: finished trades where users can review or confirm.

Inquiry: early discussions before a trade starts.

This structure will let sellers prioritize what matters now and help buyers stay aware of what’s active or done.

Our goal is to make chat feel like a command center, not just a message list.

2. Product Context Inside the Chat

It matters less when you’re selling only one item. But what happens when you’re handling multiple listings with different details and quantities?

We’re addressing one of the most common P2P pain points: the disconnect between chat and product.

In most marketplaces, you talk in one place, view items in another, and lose your sense of context in between.

We’re changing that. Soon, product information will appear directly inside the chat: title, image, price, condition, and key details all in one view.

This way, every conversation stays grounded in the actual item, keeping communication clear and intuitive.

3. Reviews That Feel Natural

If chat really is the control tower, then why stop at the transaction? Why not complete the experience there too?

We’re preparing an update that brings reviews right into the conversation flow.

Once a trade is completed, both buyers and sellers will be able to leave a review directly inside the chat.

It should feel natural, not like a form or survey.

We believe feedback is most meaningful when it happens where the experience took place.

Over time, these conversational reviews will help shape OVERTAKE’s trust layer, giving reputation a visible and meaningful form.

Beyond Messages: The Control Tower of P2P

With these improvements in progress, chat is evolving into the control tower of the entire P2P experience.

It connects every part of the journey, from discovery to confirmation to feedback, without losing context.

You don’t just talk about a trade.

You complete it in one place.

From product previews to confirmations and soon, reviews, everything will flow within a single, cohesive experience.

No confusion. No switching. Just one continuous loop between people, product, and trust.

That’s what we mean by chat rebuilt for real P2P.

It’s not about redesigning an interface.

It’s about rethinking what peer-to-peer can feel like.

What This Means for P2P

Every improvement we’re working on, from product context to smarter chat organization to conversational reviews, moves us closer to a P2P ecosystem that feels alive, intuitive, and human.

We’re not building a marketplace that happens to have chat.

• Acting as evangelists with activities like: amplifying marketing, referring friends, or creating relevant content, and many more

2. Ecosystem Operation & Liquidity (17.5%)

This pool fuels both operational growth and liquidity needs. It covers:

• Ongoing development and operation of OVERTAKE’s products
• Expansion activities such as onboarding new games, payment rails, or ecosystem features
• Liquidity provisioning across centralized and decentralized exchanges to ensure smooth trading and strong market stability

This ensures that OVERTAKE can scale sustainably, while maintaining healthy liquidity across all major venues.

3. KAITO & OVERTAKE Airdrops (0.5% + 7.0%)

These allocations reward early adopters and engaged community members who supported OVERTAKE from the beginning. Eligible tasks included completing social missions, content generation, and ongoing engagement.

We introduced longer vesting schedules for these airdrops to balance short-term excitement with long-term value creation. While some hunters may prefer instant unlocks, our approach is designed so that:

• $TAKE’s value grows as our business generates revenue and executes buybacks
• Long-term holders and contributors benefit alongside the project’s success
• Unused allocations due to botting, multi-accounts, or sybil behavior will be reclaimed and redirected to the Community Reward pool to benefit genuine participants
