Economic Crisis and the Pressure of Pakistani Weddings

In today’s post, I want to share my experience with you all regarding the concept of simplicity in Nikkah (marriage) in Pakistan. The majority of people advise that we should perform Nikkah with simplicity, as it is the Sunnah (way of the Prophet Muhammad) to do so. However, the media has a significant influence on our minds, and it has created a distorted perception of marriage in Pakistani society.

One of the biggest issues that I have observed in the past few months is the obsession with dowry in marriages. The fathers of the bride are going through depression and anxiety due to the fear of what people will say or think if they do not provide enough dowry. This mindset is creating a lot of stress and anxiety, which is unnecessary and unhealthy.

We need to take a step towards normalizing the concept of marriage without dowry. Due to the current economic crisis in Pakistan, most people cannot afford to provide lavish dowries. High prices of food, medicines, household items, electricity bills, gas bills, water bills, etc., make it difficult for people to even manage their daily expenses, let alone spend exorbitant amounts on dowry. However, if someone wishes to perform a simple Nikkah without any unnecessary events or things, people still find it hard to believe in 2023.

As a freelancer, I have noticed that most Pakistani youth are more interested in sexual content rather than informative or educational content. To verify this, my friends and I conducted an experiment. We created a Facebook page and uploaded some videos in various categories, such as educational, Islamic and funny. Unfortunately, we did not get a good response on any of the videos except for the funny videos. On the other hand, some people created Facebook pages and uploaded short sexual videos as Facebook reels, which gained millions of views and plays.

This experiment highlights that Pakistani youth is more interested in sexual content than informative or educational content. This is a concerning issue that needs to be addressed. Boys need to understand that they should not harass girls on social media platforms, and they should not force anyone to talk to them. If someone is interested in them, they will reach out to them.

In conclusion, we need to focus on simplicity in Nikkah and normalize the concept of marriage without dowry. Also, we should shift our focus towards informative and educational content rather than sexual content. Finally, we need to create a safer environment on social media platforms and respect each other’s boundaries.

Tags:
#mumkworld #professormumk #Psychology #humanbehavior #SimplicityInNikkah #NikkahWithoutDowry #SunnahtoSimplicity #SayNoToDowry #MarriageWithMeaning #DowryFreeMarriage #EndDowryCulture #PakistaniWeddings #WeddingTrends #EconomicCrises #NormalizeMarriage #MarriageEquality #EqualMarriage #PakistaniYouth #YouthCulture #SexualContent #YouthInterests #SocialMediaImpact #DigitalAge #OnlineCulture #ViralContent #InformativeContent #EducationalContent #IslamicContent #PositiveVibesOnly #SpreadLove #HarassmentFreeZone #RespectWomen #GenderEquality #EmpowerWomen #WomenInPakistan #WomenRights #Feminism #GirlPower #BoysWillBeBoys #ToxicMasculinity #SelfLove #BeYourself #BeSafe #WeekendVibes #PositiveThinking #GoodVibesOnly #LifeIsBeautiful #EnjoyTheMoment #LiveLaughLove #HappyLife #HappinessIsKey #LoveWins #SpreadPositivity #PeaceAndLove

These officers are responsible for implementing policies and programs at the federal level and can be posted in different departments such as Foreign Affairs, Information, Revenue, and Customs. CSS officers are also eligible for higher administrative positions such as Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, and Commissioners.

On the other hand, PMS officers are recruited by their respective provincial public service commissions and are responsible for implementing policies and programs at the provincial level. These officers can be posted in different departments such as Health, Education, Agriculture, and Revenue. PMS officers can also be promoted to higher positions such as Secretaries and Commissioners, but their scope is limited to their respective provinces.

To illustrate the difference between the two, let’s take the example of a CSS officer who is posted as an Assistant Commissioner in a district. His/her responsibilities would include maintaining law and order, managing local government affairs, and resolving disputes among citizens. In contrast, a PMS officer posted as an Assistant Commissioner in the same district would perform similar duties, but would be responsible for implementing provincial policies and programs in that district.

In terms of career growth, CSS officers have a wider scope and can be posted in various departments across the country. They are also eligible for foreign postings and scholarships for higher education. PMS officers, on the other hand, have a more limited scope and their career growth is primarily within their respective provinces.

Overall, both PMS and CSS officers play important roles in the administration of Pakistan, with CSS officers being responsible for federal-level policies and programs and PMS officers being responsible for provincial-level policies and programs.

Written By:
Muhammad Usama Majid Khan
(Professor Mumk)

Hashtags: #ProfessorMumk #MumkWorld #Ask #PMS #CSS #CivilService #Pakistan #Government #Administration #CareerGrowth #PolicyImplementation #FederalLevel #ProvincialLevel #PublicServiceCommission #FPSC #ProvincialServiceCommission #Promotion #HigherEducation #ForeignPostings #LawAndOrder #LocalGovernment #DisputeResolution #RolesAndResponsibilities #ComparativeAnalysis #CareerProspects #GrowthOpportunities #ChoosingTheRightPath #Bureaucracy #PublicService #Leadership #Management #PublicAdministration #PublicPolicy #PolicyMaking #PakistanCivilService #GovernmentService #PublicSector #PublicSectorJobs #PublicServant #AdministrativeService #AdministrativeCareers #JobOpportunities #ProfessionalDevelopment #PakistanJobs #EmploymentOpportunities #PublicPolicyCareers #PublicAdministrationCareers #GovernmentJobs #GovernmentCareers #CivilServants #PublicServants

We are expected to be tough, strong, and emotionless, but the truth is, boys are human too. They have emotions just like everyone else, and they too experience pain, sadness, and heartbreak. Today, I want to share a story about a boy who was strong, not just physically, but emotionally. He never cried, no matter how emotional the situation, but that didn’t mean he was immune to feeling the pain of the world around him.

This boy, let’s call him Waqas, was one of the most kind-hearted individuals I had ever met. He had a smile that could light up a room, and a heart that was always open to others. But beneath that cheerful exterior, there was a deep sense of vulnerability, a sensitivity to the world that few could understand.

I remember the day Waqas finally broke down and cried. It was a moment that shook me to my core, for I had never seen him express such raw emotion before. I asked him what had happened, what had caused him to cry, and he simply looked at me and said, “It was too much.”

Too much love, too much care, too much dreams, too much assuming things, too much belief in a person, too much waiting — these were the things that had destroyed him. Waqas had given his heart and soul to someone he loved deeply, someone he believed in with all his heart. But that person had betrayed him, shattered his trust, and left him broken.

It was a hard lesson for Waqas to learn, but it was one that we all need to remember — we can’t trust anyone completely, except Allah. No one is an angel, and we are all capable of making mistakes, of hurting others, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

But despite the pain he had endured, Waqas remained strong. He picked himself up, dusted himself off, and continued to live his life with a heart full of love and compassion. He learned to be more cautious, more discerning, but he never lost his faith in the goodness of others.

As I look back on that day, I reWaqasze that Waqas’s tears were not a sign of weakness, but of strength. It takes a lot of courage to open yourself up to others, to love deeply and unconditionally, and to risk being hurt in the process. And when that love is taken away, when it is betrayed or lost, it is only natural to feel pain.

Boys do cry, just like everyone else. And when they do, it is a sign of their humanity, their vulnerability, and their strength. We should never be ashamed of our tears, for they are a testament to the depth of our emotions, and to the resilience of our hearts.

TAGS: #mumkworld #professormumk #bahawalpur #ahmadpureast #freelancer #letsconnect #letsgrowmore #Leadership #CareerAdvice #Entrepreneurship #Success #Productivity #love #lovequotes #loveislove #loveyourself #loveyou #explore #explorepage #explorepage✨ #writer #writersofinstagram #writers #writingcommunity #igwritersclub #freelance #freelancelife #freelancer #freelancertips #blogger

As a psychology student, I am fascinated by the human behavior and the factors that influence it. I have been listening to my teachers and mentors, especially Sir Cabir Chaudhary who is a professional psychologist, to gain knowledge about human behavior and its impact on relationships. In this blog, I want to talk about how some boys play with the psychology of girls and make them vulnerable to sexual, physical, and mental abuse.

Most boys take advantage of girls by playing with their minds. They make themselves present in the girl’s mind and make her trust them. Then, some boys take advantage of their trust and financially abuse the girl, using her as an ATM. On the other hand, some boys spend money on the girl to gain her trust, but this is just a means to an end. Ultimately, they come to the last and final step of this relationship which is sexual abuse. This is mostly because girls are mentally weak and easily trapped by these boys.

However, the root of the problem lies in the lack of education and guidance, especially in terms of religion. As Muslims, we should have a strong foundation in our religion and knowledge of what the Quran teaches us. Unfortunately, our focus is on becoming a doctor, engineer, or some other profession, but we do not receive enough education about Islam. Our parents, teachers, and schools do not educate us about our religion, and if we were to study the “Seerat-e-Muhammad ﷺ”, we would have a better understanding of how to satisfy our needs and desires without resorting to abuse and exploitation.

The Quran teaches us that if we want to fulfill our sexual desires, we should get married (Nikah) but only when we are able to take responsibility for the girl and her needs. If we are not financially stable, the Quran suggests that we keep fasting to control our desires.

I have observed that some girls fall into the trap of abuse again and again because they do not understand the pattern. For example in this video, the girl visted the profile of herfirst abuser and check the likes, only to be shocked when she find out that the second abuser is actually the cousin of the first and is already married. This shows how some boys use different methods to trap girls and fulfill their sexual desires.

In social media, we can see how boys receive likes and comments when they post something nice, while girls receive even more likes and comments if they post something not so good. This is because most boys are sexually active and are looking for girls who can satisfy their desires through talking, sharing nudes, or having physical relationships.

To put an end to this cycle of abuse, we need to educate ourselves about our religion, Islam, and start reading the Quran in Urdu to understand what Allah is trying to tell us. Every man and woman has sexual desires, and Allah created them for each other, but at the same time, Allah also teaches us the right way to fulfill these desires through marriage (Nikah).

In conclusion, it is important for us to educate ourselves and understand the psychology of sexual and physical abuse in relationships.

“7 Rules for a Happy and Fulfilling Life”

Life is a journey full of ups and downs, and sometimes it can be hard to keep a positive outlook. However, by following a few simple rules, we can ensure that we live a happy and fulfilling life. In this blog, I will share with you 7 rules that will help you lead a more joyful and peaceful life.

Rule 1: Don’t Feel Envious by Looking at Someone

Envy is a negative emotion that can consume us if we let it. It is natural to look at others and feel envious of their accomplishments or possessions, but this only leads to unhappiness. Instead, we should focus on our own goals and aspirations, and be grateful for what we have in our own lives.

Rule 2: Don’t Compare Yourself with Others

Comparing yourself to others is a surefire way to decrease your self-esteem and happiness. Every person has their own unique journey, and it is important to focus on your own progress, rather than comparing it to others. Remember, your journey is not their journey, and vice versa.

Rule 3: Don’t Consider Someone Blessed Just by Looking at Their Wealth or Property

We often judge others based on their material wealth, but this is a mistake. Wealth and possessions do not equate to happiness or a fulfilling life. In fact, studies have shown that people who have more material wealth are not necessarily happier than those who have less. It is important to focus on what truly matters in life, such as relationships, personal growth, and inner peace.

Rule 4: Be Grateful for What You Have

Gratitude is a powerful emotion that can bring happiness and joy into our lives. When we focus on the things we are grateful for, it helps us to appreciate what we have, and this in turn helps us to live a more fulfilling life. Try to start each day by thinking about three things you are grateful for, and see how it changes your outlook on life.

Rule 5: Peace is Not Found from Material Things, It is Found from Inner Peace

Inner peace is the key to a happy life. It is important to find peace within yourself, rather than relying on material things to bring you happiness. This can be achieved through practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and self-reflection. When you have inner peace, everything else falls into place, and you are able to lead a more fulfilling life.

Rule 6: Life is a Test for Everyone

Life is full of challenges and obstacles, but it is important to remember that these challenges are a test for everyone. They are an opportunity for us to grow and develop, and to become a better person. Embrace the challenges that come your way, and see them as an opportunity for growth and self-improvement.

Rule 7: Live Every Moment of Life to the Fullest

Life is short, and it is important to live each moment to the fullest. Whether it is spending time with loved ones, traveling, or pursuing a passion, it is important to enjoy each moment and live life to the fullest. Don’t waste your time worrying about the future or dwelling on the past, focus on the present moment and enjoy life to the fullest.

In conclusion, by following these 7 simple rules, you can lead a happy and fulfilling life. Remember, life doesn’t need to be made, it just needs to be lived. So, start living life to the fullest, and enjoy the journey!

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Introduction to Writer:

Hello, my name is Muhammad Usama Majid Khan, but I am mostly known as Professor MUMK. Please do not post your personal life problems on any group, page, or social media platform. Not everyone is a psychologist, doctor, or Islamic scholar. You are just wasting your time and making your brain heavy with unnecessary information. When you post your problems on social media, everyone will comment on your post, whether they know about your problem or not, whether they are educated in that field or not, or whether they are able to help you or not.

In this world of likes and follows, people want attention and an audience to follow them. But sharing your personal problems with anyone and everyone will not solve your problems. If you are facing problems in your relationship, children’s growth, or your mental health, it is important to seek help from a specialist in that field.

For example, if you are facing problems in your marriage, consult with a proper psychologist. If you are facing mental health issues, such as anxiety or mood swings, consult with a proper doctor. Not everyone is qualified to give you the best advice for your problems, and seeking help from the right person will help you feel better and healthier.

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —

Introduction to Writer:

Hello, my name is Muhammad Usama Majid Khan, but I am mostly known as Professor MUMK. However, it is important to remember that our emotions are not always an accurate reflection of reality. Sometimes, our emotions can cloud our judgment, causing us to react impulsively and make decisions that we later regret.

To lead a fulfilling and successful life, it is essential to train your mind to be stronger than your feelings. By doing so, you can learn to control your emotions, rather than letting your emotions control you. In this blog, we will explore several strategies for doing just that.

Practice mindfulness

Mindfulness is a practice that involves focusing on the present moment and becoming more aware of your thoughts and emotions. When you practice mindfulness, you are able to step back and observe your emotions, rather than being consumed by them.

For example, if you are feeling anxious, take a moment to pause and focus on your breathing. Pay attention to the sensations in your body, and observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This will give you a greater sense of control over your emotions and help you to respond to them in a more measured way.

Develop a growth mindset

A growth mindset is the belief that your abilities and intelligence can be developed through effort and dedication. When you have a growth mindset, you are less likely to be defeated by negative emotions, because you believe that you can always learn and grow from challenges and setbacks.

For example, if you are feeling overwhelmed by a difficult project at work, try to reframe your thoughts and focus on the opportunities for learning and growth. Instead of telling yourself that you are not good enough, tell yourself that you can rise to the challenge and improve with time and effort.

Identify and challenge negative thought patterns

Negative thought patterns, such as self-doubt and pessimism, can fuel negative emotions and lead to a downward spiral of self-criticism and despair. To break this cycle, it is important to identify and challenge these thought patterns when they arise.

For example, if you catch yourself thinking, “I will never be good enough,” ask yourself where this thought is coming from and whether there is evidence to support it. If not, try to find alternative, more positive, thoughts that you can use to counteract the negative ones.

Practice gratitude

Gratitude is the practice of focusing on the positive aspects of your life and being thankful for what you have. When you practice gratitude, you shift your focus away from what you lack and instead focus on what you have, which can help to reduce feelings of sadness, anger, and frustration.

For example, each day, make a list of things that you are grateful for. This could be anything from the people in your life to the things that you have achieved. By focusing on what you have, rather than what you lack, you will be better able to control your emotions and maintain a positive outlook.

Surround yourself with positive people

The people you surround yourself with can have a significant impact on your emotional well-being. When you spend time with positive, supportive people, you are more likely to feel uplifted and motivated. On the other hand, when you spend time with negative, critical people, you are more likely to feel drained and discouraged.

For example, make an effort to spend time with people who are supportive, encouraging, and positive. Seek out new relationships with like-minded people and prioritize maintaining the relationships that bring joy and positivity into your life.

In conclusion, training your mind to be stronger than your feelings is an ongoing process that requires effort and dedication. However, by incorporating the strategies outlined above into your daily life, you can begin to build emotional resilience and learn to control your emotions, rather than letting your emotions control you.

Remember, emotions are an important part of the human experience and it is okay to feel them. But it is important to recognize that our emotions are not always an accurate reflection of reality, and that we have the power to control them. By training your mind to be stronger than your feelings, you will be better equipped to navigate life’s challenges, make informed decisions, and lead a fulfilling and successful life.

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —

Introduction to Writer:

Hello, my name is Muhammad Usama Majid Khan, but I am mostly known as Professor MUMK. The argument behind this is that a beautiful woman will make their son’s life more beautiful, and will bring more prestige and honor to the family.

However, this same argument doesn’t hold true when it comes to finding a husband for their daughters. In these cases, the parents do not give much importance to the beauty of the man and instead focus on other factors such as his education, financial stability, and family background. This paradox shows the conflicting views that people have on the role of beauty in a relationship.

It is important to note that these views are not universal and can vary greatly depending on cultural, religious, and socioeconomic factors. In some cultures, beauty is seen as a necessary requirement for a successful marriage, while in others, it is seen as irrelevant or even undesirable.

Moreover, the definition of beauty is subjective and can vary from person to person. What one person finds beautiful may not appeal to another. This means that what is considered beautiful in one culture or community may not be seen as beautiful in another.

So, does beauty matter in the world of marriage? The answer is both yes and no. While some people believe that beauty is an important factor, others believe that it is not. In the end, it all comes down to personal preference and the values and beliefs of the individuals involved.

It is also important to remember that beauty is not just skin deep. Physical appearance may be an initial factor that attracts two people to each other, but it is not the only factor that determines the success of a relationship. A strong foundation of trust, respect, and love is crucial for a lasting marriage.

In conclusion, beauty is not the only factor that matters in a relationship, but it does play a role in many people’s lives. However, it is important to remember that beauty is subjective and what is considered beautiful may vary from person to person and from culture to culture. At the end of the day, what truly matters in a relationship is the love, respect, and trust between the two individuals.

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —

Introduction to Writer:

Hello, my name is Muhammad Usama Majid Khan, but I am mostly known as Professor MUMK. It can be a highly effective treatment for depression and fear of being alone. Here are some ways to implement CBT in your life to address these issues:

1- Identify negative thoughts and beliefs: The first step in CBT is to become aware of the negative thoughts and beliefs that are fueling your depression and fear of being alone. These might include thoughts such as “I’m not good enough,” “No one will ever love me,” or “I’ll always be alone.”

2- Challenge these thoughts: Once you’ve identified your negative thoughts, the next step is to challenge them. Ask yourself if there is any evidence to support these thoughts. Are they really true? Are there any alternative ways of looking at the situation?

3- Reframe your thoughts: Once you’ve challenged your negative thoughts, the next step is to reframe them. Instead of thinking “I’ll always be alone,” try thinking “I am currently alone, but that doesn’t mean I will always be alone.”

4- Practice mindfulness: Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment and not dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. This can help to reduce feelings of depression and anxiety and can make it easier to reframe negative thoughts.

5- Build a support network: Having a support network of friends, family, and/or a therapist can help to reduce feelings of isolation and provide a source of emotional support.

6- Engage in activities that bring you pleasure: Engaging in activities that you enjoy, such as hobbies, can help to reduce symptoms of depression and improve your overall mood.

7- Prioritize self-care: Taking care of your physical and emotional well-being is important. This might include things like getting enough sleep, eating well, and engaging in regular exercise.

8- Learn how to be alone: Instead of fearing being alone, learn to embrace it. Spend some time alone and engage in activities that you enjoy. This can help you to build confidence in your ability to be alone and reduce your fear of being alone.

9- Challenge the belief that you need to be in a relationship to be happy: Many people believe that they need to be in a romantic relationship to be happy. However, research has shown that people can be happy and fulfilled whether they are in a relationship or not.

10- Don’t avoid your feelings: Avoiding your feelings and emotions can lead to depression and anxiety. Instead, try to accept and process your feelings, which will help you to understand them better and move on.

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — -

Hello, my name is Muhammad Usama Majid Khan, but I am mostly known as Professor MUMK.
