Within less than a month, our social media grew exponentially. Basic DAO was set up along with holders’ verification, staking, NFT alpha calls, Crypto signals and a sales bot. Moreover, pixeledfaces domain name was purchase for us to develop our website, Sharded Ninjas Dao Token (SNDT) was created and is being actively rewarded to the community. Finally, a Whale Tracking bot has been developed, monitoring Solana whale moves: you can now see what are they minting, buying, selling and listing before anyone else. And this is nothing but the beginning…

Our priorities are as follow: 1. P2E game, 2. Dao establishment and support, 3. Branding, 4. Merch, 5. More bots, 6. finalizing the website, 7. Future collections, 8. Dao investment, 9. Dao ideas into action and much more…

2021 was the NFT hype year, in which many projects rose, and many more failed. It was the year pixeledfaces was created, experimented and learned a lot from.

We started with a humble idea, generating pixel art characters unlike others, that came with unique personalities and stories. The story evolved, so did my drawing, minting and organizational skills; Season 2 pack sale was successfully concluded without any glitch. Our supporters benefited from multiple drops and were able to claim the Christmas limited edition Season 2 packs as well. Many characters got their V2s and were initially dropped free of charge (Free to claim) for season 1 holders.

Moving forward, we decided to take our project to the next level and deliver what many projects failed to do, despite all the hype they created and funds they collected.

With the new year came a new Logo, along with few partnerships that will help us achieve our whitepaper aims. I will try to summarize things below:

A. we partnered with a leading comic book studio to develop Pixeledfaces own comic book. The first drop, which will take place this Sunday at 4pm UTC will be of our cover page. This page will grant its holder claiming all future issue 1 drops (30–40), and is the only colored page of the book. It comes as 1:100, and as a result, it will be detrimental to completing the full set. Completion mean the opportunity to blend all this issue pages into an e-book NFT (1:100), with the ability to redeem 1 of the 100 only available issue 1 hardcopies.

B. Adding to that, we partnered with a relatively new Brazilian Blockchain company called BDCash, which will support, in the future, developing Pixeledfaces 3D Metaverse and Play to earn game.

As for the roadmap, I tried to be as transparent as possible and will share with you two possible scenarios. Regardless, we are laser-focused on achieving it and 100% committed.

In the event of a successful drop this Sunday (neftyblocks), funds will allow us to complete Pixeledfaces Comic book by Q2 of this year, as well as releasing our first Play to Earn game on the Wax blockchain. The game and its tokenomics idea/plan (yes you have read it right! we gonna have our own in-game token) are ready, and just need some liquidity to kick-off!

In this model, Our early supporter are rewarded by allowing them to stake their V2 characters and earn tokens (If you haven’t upgraded to V2, you can either buy them here or blend you V1 here). Those tokens are the only mean to purchasing our in-game NFTs and boosting your game success chances!

Season 3 pack sale is scheduled for Q3 2022, along with the start of our 2nd comic book issue that will be completed by Q4 of the same year. Your support is essential; Our growth means the ability to recruit developers and enthusiasts that will help us realize the 3D MMO RPG game / Metaverse by 2024 (maybe earlier, who knows)!

Yet, in the event of an unfortunate poor sale, our 2D game release will be postponed till Q4, and will shift with it everything. In other words, it gonna slow us down, but NEVER stop us from delivering our vision of the Metaverse!

Many of you are aware of how shy our recent pack sale was. Regardless, it was a lesson we learned form and above all, a technical experience we went through till the very end without any glitch.

Here is a brief overview of the sale, and what our next steps are:

1. Prior to our pack sale, a banner was added on Neftyblocks website for 36 hrs. Neftyblock team was super supportive, and decided to give us an additional 36hrs free of charge. The cost was 300$, equivalent to 1188.589 WAXP at the moment of payment.
2. In parallel, we were introduced to a team, who promised full support in return for 20% of our sale. After negotiation, that value was dropped to 10% and we were planning a long-term collaboration. Unfortunately, nothing much came out from from their side besides few tweets that had very weak interaction, and only 2 participated in the sale (less than 100 WAXP combined). After bringing them this fact, they told us that they worked for a 10%. Regardless, I kept my word, send them 10% of what we had at that point, and terminated our agreement.
3. The sale concluded as follow: 48 Mega packs and 70 Standard packs were sold: 760$ were raised, with almost half gone on promos/marketing. Pixeledfaces wallet had about 370 WAXP before the sale, and has now 3773 WAXP. With simple calculation, we can conclude that our Netto is: 3773 — (370 + 1188 + 150) = 2065 WAXP.

4. Two of our community members managed to complete common sets (honra.wam and au5bc.wam). The total reward for the common set (for 10 collectors) is 0.5% of the raised fund (total is about 3400 WAXP). Thus a collector gets 0.05% of 3400, making 1.7 WAXP per set per wallet. Honra.wam and au5bc.wam.

Please use this set to verify completion of a given rarity, then inform us to validate and send you your rewards.

Concluding remarks and future events:

It is obvious that what was raised is too little to pursue developing a game at the moment. Yet we are here to stay: pixeledfaces will continue to exist as collectibles, though slowly, but surely, we will continue working toward achieving our goal: a pixeledfaces dedicated online game that will bring utility to your NFTs.

Furthermore, as Halloween is coming, we would like to announce our first season 2 scientific event: Zombification. In this event, up to 13 characters (no babies, zombies or superheroes) will be given an injection that will turn them into zombies!!!

We have been quite busy lately preparing for our pixeledfaces season 2 pack sale. As some of you might know, a 4th Ultra Rare rarity called Silver Dream has been added, bringing season 2 minted NFTs to 80, plus the two pack variety of course.

Here is a brief overview:

1. We were added to CAIT shop, a new marketplace with awesome roadmap and integrated Defi features. You can find pixeledfaces shop here.
2. We applied also to be listed on Tokenhead, and we are waiting there response.

Dear friends, supporters, dear community,

We have been quite busy lately working on collaborations, initiatives to support artists on @WAX_io, as well as few final preparations before our season 2 pack sale.

Here is a brief overview:

1. the artist who was working on the sketches informed us that he was unable to finish the remaining characters due to some personal beliefs. Yet, as we are committed to delivering full sets of our 20 characters, we decided not to use any of his work.

2. We minted few promos that include season 2 characters as well as some special scientific tools that would undoubtedly make season 2 interactive and fun.

3. Another incredible news that we were happy to share with you was the integration of Pixeledfaces into Immersys metaverse. Release date is not yet confirmed but estimated within a week. 4 NFTs including Brook and Mada will be added, which will allow you to bring them to life by spawning. Moreover, if you wish to add your favourite pixeledfaces NFT to the metaverse, please use this link, yet keep in mind that this is a paid service which you will have to cover.

4. We did our first twitter invasion, and it was fabulous! To participate, join our telegram group, change your banner to that of pixeledfaces and your profile picture to one of pixeledfaces favourite characters, and wait for T0. We are coordinating our work and start commenting and talking about pixeledfaces in replies and tweets from our favourite influencers, celebrities, friends, relatives, neighbours (relatively anyone) tagging @pixeledfaces and using the hashtag #pixeledfaces

5. One last news! we proudly revealed our upcoming packs: The Common will cost 4$ (in WAXP) and will include 9 NFTs, while the Mega pack will cost 10$ and contains 25 NFTs. Date of pack sale is yet TBD.

Pixeledfaces NFT project:

Intro

Seeing the amazing success of Cryptopunks and the booming NFT market in the last year, Dr Peter Bou Dib decided to launch pixeledfaces; a large variety of imaginary characters embraced by a unique story telling. A little blurry and blocky, aesthetic, and funny, these characters represent a combination of pixel art with life like characters and a rare story telling. Each character has

his own personality, connection, and unique story as well as a role in the imaginary pixeledfaces metaverse, making them a distinctive collection in the open sea of NFTs.

As we can see from the data captured on top NFT marketplaces, obviously we would consider Axie infinity as the leading marketplace, yet Axie infinity marketplace is only for Axie infinity game digital items. Thus, this makes Opensea the leading Ethereum NFT marketplace, whereas Atomichub is the sole leader on WAX.

Let us take a closer look from OpenSea statistics (Figure 2).

The data shows an increase in OpenSea users over time reaching 20k by August 4th and a volume of about US$ 60 Million.

Data from the AtomicMarket, which currently leads the market in WAX, as per August 4th, 2021, shows a total number of users of about 13.6k and a volume of US$ 330k (Figure 3).

Game industry:

The global gaming market revenue as per Bloomberg, has reached about US $165 billion in 2021. By 2022, this amount is expected to rise to US $200 billion. As we can clearly see, the gaming industry is reverberating

Nowadays, most games are free-to-play among them Fortnite, Pokemon Go and Candy Crush Saga. Similar blockchain based games are already trending among them Alien worlds on WAX, CryptoBlades on Binance smart chain and Axie Infinity on Ethereum to name few. On top of being free-to-play games, although they require an initial investment in form of land, tools, or characters, all the three reward their players by special tokens and/or NFTs.

Moreover, the blockchain verified in-game tokens allow player to own, trade or sell their digital assets. Those assets (Token and/or NFT) authenticated on the blockchain, are stored in the player digital wallet, the same way Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other token is stored.

With a market valuation that is expected to reach $ 200Bn by 2022, we decided to publicly introduce our project that combines pixel art, gaming, blockchain and NFTs, as we strongly believe that our style story telling style and management skills, backed by the right developing team would make the game is huge success, in this relatively booming market.

Yet as we are looking for partners that are willing to join the team and share with us this adventure, we would like to end this section saying that being successful is understanding what success literally looks like. A wise person once said:

Roadmap

Our aim is to bring life and utilities to our pixel art NFT collection.

To this end, we will divide the project into 3 main phases.

In phase One, we will organize 3 main NFT pack sales: one in September 2021 (date TBD), one in Q1 2022 and the last in Q2 on the same year. Two main scenarios are expected:

A. In this scenario, we manage to raise enough funds:

1. 10% of the raised funds will be paid to the team for their support and dedication

2. 60% will be used for game development

3. 10% will be used to make a dedicated comic book, expanding the plot scenario

4. The last 20% will be used for partnership and marketing

Furthermore, pixeledfaces NFTS will be used as the main in game items and characters, and possibly generating pixeledfaces unique token via staking.

B. In this unfortunate scenario, not enough funds are raised, especially in the 1st 2 sale events. This means that the team won’t be able to immediately fund developing a game. Pixeledfaces NFTs will remain as collectibles on the WAX blockchain, until we manage to either completely self-fund the game or find a dedicated team that is willing to share their time and experience in building it. Alternatively, a major sponsorship might cover the expenses.

What kind of game are we talking about?

We are thinking about 2 kinds of games: the first would be a free-to-play match-three puzzle game that will allow users to use their pixeledfaces NFTs for special in-game treats (extra life, move, etc.). The other is a pixeledfaces-characters based RPG, that will retain the pixel art theme, and allow friends to join forces and defeat the upcoming apocalypse.

Pixeledfaces Team

At the moment of writing this paper, the team consists of Peter and 2 other believers who are supporting this initiative both on the ground or on social media. A talented Lebanese doctor and artist is working on season 2 sketches and might end up joining the team. Furthermore, Dr Jonida Bou Dib who is an experienced research team lead in business psychology and organizational transformation will be our first advisor. We are discussing with BD to join the team and we are open to adding more people.

Season 2 will come in 4 different versions: common, vintage, glitch developed by Peter, and the sketches drawn by Dr Sleiman based on the original characters. As sales is planned to be via packs, future blending opportunities might take place.
