Several projects want to appear as making a difference in the real world. The best and easiest way to do so is to include a charity donation in the roadmap. That’s a great thing. However, many of these projects are just leveraging the “positive impact” aspect of charity donations to attract as many investors as possible.

Stumpy Frens wants to redefine what making a “positive impact” in the space means by taking the matter in their own hands and leading their own environmental missions. We bring an all-round conservation aspect to the space while still embracing all other aspects of NFT culture. As a pfp collection that funds and leads environmental missions in the real world, we also invite established brands to reap the benefits through exclusive partnerships that are beneficial to both parties—more on this soon!

#1 Mission — 30,000 trees

Our first of the many missions is planting 30,000 trees to offset the total carbon cost of our collection. This is our commitment of making a positive impact to the space. This is our “piece-de-resistance”.

Location: Queensland, Australia

Date: 2 weeks after launch (launch is TBA)

Supply: 3000 supply with 10 trees x NFT = 30,000 trees

Goal: revegetation of a dead area

Ideal conditions: rainy for highest chance of survival during tropical climates

Method: speed planting, roughly 6k trees per day between the 3 founders

Plant type: native gum tree, growing well in drought conditions, important habitat provider for many birds and Australian wildlife

Carbon offset: 30,000 trees trapping 470t of CO2 per year, offsetting our initial carbon cost of 150t of CO2 from our 3000 NFTs.

Documentary

Our biggest weapon is the camera. The entire mission will be documented and posted online. Our media team consists of professional photographers, videographers and drone pilots. With their expertise, we plan to showcase before, during and after scenes, with short interviews, action scenes and drone shots. The goal for this documentary is to demonstrate how impactful our missions are for the environment, and to be used as a reference for future partnerships.

Partnerships

Establishing ourselves as a known planet-friendly NFT brand will take a lot of work, commitment and community-building. The most important thing is to showcase our first environmental mission so we can strengthen our trust within our community and in the space. But that’s not the only thing.

We wish to offer a proof of concept for other collections to benefit from. Our collection is not the only one with a carbon cost. All collections launched on Ethereum have a carbon cost.

What if other collections also wish to offset their carbon cost?

Should they pay a charity to do so and label their brand as “planet-friendly”?

Or should they enter a partnership with a known planet-friendly brand that will also offset their carbon cost during these environmental missions?

Building a brand in the space not only means creating a community and rewarding holders. It also means how can the rest of the space benefit from it. Every partnership will be assessed on a case by case basis, but essentially we want both communities to be rewarded in one way or another.

We offer to offset the carbon cost of other established collections during our environmental missions. By doing so, they receive a “stamp of approval” indicating their carbon cost has been offset and they’re in partnership with Stumpy Frens Tree House.

We want to make a positive impact in the real world by planting our roots in the NFT space as a planet-friendly brand.

About the team

Addison, Jean and Fedz came together with a shared vision to bring a planet-friendly culture to the NFT space. After witnessing the bushfire catastrophe in Australia they were driven to make a positive impact together. With their trading experience, business coaching from an award winning design director and hardcore conservation experience overseas, they’ve founded Stumpy Frens Tree House.

What is Planet Capital?

Planet Capital (PC) acts as the parent company that powers the activation of environmental missions funded by NFT collections. By documenting these missions, Planet Capital will grow as a known NFT brand that serves the planet’s best interests. In the future, PC will integrate web3 experiences and display environmental results from the real world to the metaverse.

What inspired Stumpy Frens?

Our Stumpy Frens were inspired by our first tree-planting mission taking place in Queensland, Australia. The Stumpy Frens design combines inspiration from early cartoon characters with the vibrance of modern digital illustrations. A friendly face and proud posture describes Stumpy’s positive attitude, determination, bravery and confidence in a new digital space. The artist, Sean, has designed a vivid pfp with vintage traits and tropical vibes. Following the tree-planting culture in Canada and Australia, our Stumpy Frens rock vintage items like roller skates around their neck, vinyls on their heads and boomboxes on their shoulder.

When are you launching?

Early 2022 is our target. Exact date is yet TBA.

Is there a roadmap?

As elaborate as most roadmaps are, we want to keep it simple. Our first promise is to plant 30,000 trees. The founders will go get their hands dirty and put every seedling in the hot Australian soil. We will document it and share with the holders.

Holders can expect special giveaways, contests and priority for future collections. We want to create a planet-conscious NFT brand and build a vibrant community of digital conservationists.
