The world of gaming is constantly evolving, with new updates and features being introduced all the time. One such update is the New Update Version 1.4 (PC) Changelog. This update brings a number of exciting changes to the game, including a new Animation Kit for Rifle-like Weapons, a new HUD update, a new Damages displayer, a new Rename Card, and a new Match Making system.

New Animation Kit for Rifle-like Weapons

The new Animation Kit for Rifle-like Weapons is a major improvement over the previous version. It brings smoother and more realistic animations to the game, making the overall gameplay experience more immersive. However, there are some animation errors that may still occur on Pistol-like weapons, but the developers have assured us that they will be fixed soon.

Enhancements to the HUD — Damage Indicator, HP & stamina bar

The new HUD update is also a welcome addition to the game. It brings a more modern and streamlined look to the user interface, making it easier to navigate and use. The new Damages displayer is another useful feature that allows players to see how much damage they are dealing to their opponents. This can be especially helpful during intense battles when every hit counts.

New Match-making system

One of the most exciting new features in the New Update Version 1.4 is the new Match Making system. This system divides the daily playtime into two types: Sandbox Time and Golden Earn Time. During the Sandbox Time, all players are counted as free players and can freely be matched with each other. However, during this time, players are not able to earn $PSB, even if they equip NFTs.

During the Golden Earn Time, players who have at least one NFT item or temporary item equipped will be counted as NFT players. NFT players are able to earn $PSB after each Earn Match succeeds, making this an exciting opportunity for players to earn rewards.

The daily golden time will be in:

• 2.00 -5.00 UTC
• 11.00–14.00 UTC

During the Golden Earn Time, all NFT items (Champion/Weapon) and Temporary items (Champion/Weapon) will be counted normally upon finding a match successful. Each Earn match now requires at least two NFT players in the queue before filling the bots, and bots will be filled automatically to the Earn Match if there are at least two NFT players in the queue. NFT players and Free players are not able to join matches with each other, but free players (players with no NFT equipped) are free to match with each other and bots.

It’s important to note that the Supply box is available at both Times, and Booster is enabled and counted normally at both Times. However, equipping a booster alone does not make you an NFT player during the Golden Earn Time.

Overall, the New Update Version 1.4 (PC) Changelog brings a number of exciting new features and improvements to the game. The new Match Making system, in particular, is sure to be a hit with players, providing an exciting new way to earn rewards and progress through the game. Limiting NFT Players Playing Against Bots

One of the biggest problems in the game was the inflation caused by NFT players playing against bots. With the new mechanism, NFT players will play against others and bots instead of with bots only, allowing for a more balanced and fair gameplay. This might take the match making time longer than usual.

Split Timeline: Golden Earn Event and Sandbox Time

The game will now be split into “Golden Earn Event” and “Sandbox Time”. During Golden Earn Event, players can use NFTs to play and earn. While during Sandbox Time, players can stilluse their NFTs, but it will not count as a earn battle (Free-To-Play). The timing for each event is set in liveops and can be changed based on player behavior and region changes.

Golden Earn Event

Players in the Golden Earn Event can earn NFTs. Matchmaking is no longer restricted to only 5 minutes, but at least 2 NFT players are required in the queue to start a match.

Free players are freely matched with other free players and bots, and if 5 minutes pass, they are automatically matched with bots to fill the room. NFT players, on the other hand, are matched with other NFT players, and at least 2 NFT players are required for a match to start.

NFT Item Used in Event Time

NFT items used during the event will cost a usage charge (similar to the current system). Booster users are not counted as NFT players but as free players instead. To be counted as an NFT player, a player must equip an NFT item, such as champions or weapons.

Item Created by Fragment

Items created by fragments are usable during both events and are counted as NFT items. Players using fragment items are counted as NFT players.

Free to Play Event

During free to play time, all players are counted as free players, and NFT items will not be counted and can be freely used without losing charges. Boosters are disabled during free play events. Supply boxes are available during free play events.

Conclusion

With the new matchmaking mechanism, players will experience a fair and balanced gameplay, this also help the economic model to be more sustainable, especially when we have a plan to publish on Google Play and Apple Store.

The new split timeline will allow players to choose between earning money and playing for fun. The Golden Earn Event will provide opportunities for players to earn NFTs, while the Sandbox Time will provide a no-pressure and relaxing gameplay. Get ready to experience a new era of battle royale!

As expected to arrive in Q4. 2022, the Mobile apk version of PlanetSandbox was released on 29th December 2022 alongside most of the features from the latest PC version, which was launched earlier this month.

This APK version is in Beta Phase even though players can still use the NFTs to play and earn, here are the following features that are available in this mobile apk version:

• Classic Battle Royale — Survival mode: The mobile version is quite similar to the PC version, so players will be immersed in the classic Batte Royale mode to fight against others.
• Map: Meadow Land is available in this apk version. The Desert map will be implemented soon.

• Newly Updated Feature: Collections, Boosters, Fragments, Supply Boxes, and so on.

• Separate Server: Mobile version is currently not available to play with the PC version.
• Christmas Tournament — Gear up & Earn: Players can join the Christmas Tournament (Daily login, Christmas Missions, Socks Collectors) by participating in both PC and Mobile versions (The data leaderboard and rewards will be synchronized)

• NFTs Utilities: All NFT utilities are available in the mobile version. For instance, upgrade, reset, play & earn.
• A significant update for the in-game HUD: HUD has been simplified for a better user experience and will be polished more in the future.
• Aim-Assists & Auto Open Scope: Improve the accuracy when shooting and Auto Open Scope Option in settings (This feature is in the final progress and will be updated soon)
• Champions Polishing Model: Rivo, Henry, Chiyo, and Mia 3D models are being improvised.

After months of planning and implementation with the aim of increasing game experience and magnetism, PlanetSandbox finally released its newest features in December 2023. After bringing users from Fragment and Supply Box, this article will describe more about the last new feature in this December update.

Boosters give players unique advantages in the game and increase the chances of winning the battles for survival. Using boosters also diversifies players’ tactics to win against other players.

Boosters are designed as consumable items and can be bought directly in the game. Players can easily access the booster menu in the Inventory to buy and equip boosters.

How do boosters work?

In the December update version, there are three boosters that are available to use in the battles. There will be more boosters released in the future. Let’s head up for the first three available.

Frozen Bullet

Frozen Bullet Booster — your attacks slow enemies down by 50% for 2 seconds; the booster can apply to any gun.

With this booster, you can take effect on the enemy with the auto rifle weapon and strike them off with the sniper rifle, or you can slow the enemy down and find a better spot if you’re low in health. It all depends on your choice and strategies.

Frozen bullet’s current price is 1 $PSB each

Angel Wings

Angel wings give players a second chance after being defeated. Players will transform into ghosts for a short period; during this time, you cannot be attacked or attack other players.

You will revive with 50% health after a few seconds. Remember that other players can still see you in ghost form, so find a suitable location to not be in the enemy’s sight when you respawn.

Angel Wings booster is definitely robust support for players when taking part in intense battles, providing you another chance to survive, and costs only 1.9 $PSB. You should note that once the game starts, the angle wing will be counted as used no matter whether It is triggered or not.

Marked

Marked booster helps to show enemies that attack you for 15 seconds. This makes it easier for you to find the enemy’s location. You can determine the direction and position of the enemy with the red icon or open the map.

Marked booster shows its advantage in battles that include abrupt terrains, especially for the newly released map — Desert. Players can purchase the marked booster at the price of 1 $PSB.

Christmas Tournament — Gear Up & Earn Details

Celebrating this upcoming Christmas and New year 2023, the Tournament allows gamers stand opportunities to win valuable rewards in the pool worth $75,000$.

As the name “Gear Up & Earn” stands for, players need to participate in the battles and fight against others to complete in-game missions. There are three aspects to achieving the prizes:

• Daily Login: Easily log in and claim the rewards
• Mission System: Complete the event missions
• Top Socks Collectors: Play & Achieve Christmas Socks from battles

The Tournament is planned to begin at 7 a.m UTC on 23rd December 2022 and last for 15 days until 7 a.m 6th January 2023, PlanetSandbox players DON’T need to own any NFT to participate in.

By finishing all the missions in these three aspects, each player will be able to earn a tremendous amount of rewards worth 2,500 $PSB on average, including $PSB, boosters, fragments, and NFTs. The reward pool is limited to 1,000 players.

Claim rewards from Daily Login

Players can access the event panel by clicking the “Event” button on the top right corner of the game client. Don’t forget to “Claim” the reward every day, or It will be counted as a late claim on the next day.

In case you missed it and still want to get the rewards, you’ll need to use a small amount of $PSB (starting from 1 $PSB) to claim them back. Remember that you can late claim in the event time only.

Players also receive extra rewards by logging in every day. By fully logging in and claiming for 15 days, players will get more than 50 items, such as boosters and fragments from various kinds of weapons and champions. This will help you increase the chance to win in the battles and more opportunities to earn with the fragments assembling.

Claim the rewards from Missions

Over the Tournament of 15 days, there is a series of missions for players to participate in and claim once they complete.

There are 4 main types of missions, each has 4 bonus milestones which are:

• Finish Survival Match: Join the battles and fight against other players
• Eliminate other players: Immerse in the intense battle royale, use your skills, and engage in more fights
• Use boosters: Use the advantages of boosters, and combine them with a fight strategy to win
• Win matches: Being the last man standing to finish this mission

Each type of mission has 4 specific milestones to get the corresponding rewards. By finishing the series, Santa Scorpion will reward you with 1,000 $PSB and nearly 200 fragments and boosters, which are worth more than 2,500 $PSB in total. Fragment Feature Overview

Deep dive into the Fragment Feature — which can be acquired through playing the game or claiming event rewards, the fragments are designed to be assembled into a temporary weapon/champion. More like small pieces of them, collecting these components allows you to use temporary weapons or champions to play with a limited-time use.

You can still earn with the temporary weapons/champions, but It will not be available to upgrade, withdraw or trade them on the marketplace. After a specific number of battles, this item will disappear.

How to use the Fragment Feature

You can easily access the fragment feature by clicking the inventory button and finding the fragments in the left menu.

Each temporary weapon/champion required a specific amount of fragments to “BUIDL”. The amounts depend on each rarity; the rarer it is, the more required components.

The assembled fragments will be visible in the Weapon menu with the tag “Temporary”. Remember to equip the weapons or champions to be able to play & earn.

How to get Fragments

There are a variety of ways to acquire these fragments. Playing the game and finishing the missions will give you chances to get them.

Another way is to join in the marketing event on social media. Make sure that you follow our Official Channels for the latest news.

You can also get the fragment by opening the supply box — a newly developed feature to increase the game’s magnetism and experience to not only web3 but also traditional gamers.

Supply Box Feature Overview

A brand new feature that gives players more opportunities to get in-game rewards, including tokens, boosters, fragments,… and many more.

Every player finishing the match has a chance to get a supply box. After completing a battle, You can potentially get the supply box without any conditions. This means you DON’T need to use an NFT to be able to get the supply box. This is our significant movement with the go-to-market strategy, which is to dominate not only web3 but also traditional gamers.

Supply Box Mechanism

There are 3 rarities of supply boxes, iron, silver, and gold, with a specific rate of dropping tokens or in-game assets such as PSB tokens, fragments, and boosters. The higher rank you get, the more chance to gain valuable rewards.

After accumulating the supply boxes, there is a cooldown time to be able to open the boxes. The rarer supply boxes have a longer waiting duration. Players can use $PSB for rushing and skipping this cooldown period.

There’re two slots for free, and if you want more supply boxes in your storage, you can use $PSB to unlock the 3rd and 4th slots. Slot 5th is for the players who join our battle passes (this feature is in the development plan).

For this Festive Season, PlanetSandbox has released a New Christmas Version which includes a variety of improvements in gameplay, game experience, and features. Let’s see what we have in this update!

1. New Map Release: Desert

An abandoned Special Economic Zone placed in Mirage - A strategic jungle planet. It was used as Lord Dukan’s command center against the USF during the civil war. The USF rained massive firebombs as retaliation, burning the entire jungle into an inhabitable desert. Its climate just recently recovered enough for the time-consuming terraforming process.

Mostly rocky canyons and deserts reach the sky, embraced by sandstorms and a hot environment bringing you intense and heart-breaking moments while competing with other players.

2. New Random Map Match Making System

Along with the first map, the Desert Map is promised to bring a lot more fun and excitement for players when joining the battle royale. You will be randomly opt-in either in Meadow Land — First Map in Planet Zephr or The Desert in Planet Mirage.

3. Captain Rivo — Update Remastered Model

Captain Rivo — an Uncommon Champion — is remastered in this version. With the purpose of humanizing Rivo from a champion with bestiality, PlanetSandbox game design team has successfully updated Rivo’s visual in 3D gameplay. Try it out now!

4. New Christmas Features — Daily Login and Event Quest System

In order to increase the game’s magnetism to attract more users in this Festive Season, PlanetSandbox released new 2 features for Christmas Event: Daily Login and Event Quest System.

With the Daily Login, you’ll be able to get more rewards to use in battles, that’s going to help you to gain more opportunities to earn and win.

5. Visual Updates Champion 3D : Rivo, Henry, Chiyo, Mia and Login Interface

As we mentioned before, our development progress is always aligned with improvement. In the new version, we resolved some collider issues that caused stuck when playing the game.
