In April, wZER was airdropped to users who provided wZER/USDT liquidity on PancakeSwap. The wZER/USDT pair on PancakeSwap saw a significant amount of trading activity in April, with an average of 4,972 wZER bought or sold per day. The average daily wZER price in USDT also increased over the course of April. It is possible to convert wZER into ZER and ZER into wZER using the wrapping.services gateway, and it is also possible to move USDT between the BSC and ZER exchanges using the Binance Bridge or other methods. The ZER team is reportedly discussing future airdrops for ZER/USDT liquidity providers and staking options for ZER holders.

ZER is now available on the Binance Smart Chain & PancakeSwap

Wrapped Zero (wZER) is a version of the Zero (ZER) cryptocurrency that is available on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and can be traded on PancakeSwap, a decentralized exchange for BEP20 tokens on the BSC. wZER on the BSC is designed to provide a fast and affordable decentralized exchange (DEX) trading experience, with a high-performance matching engine and front-running protection. In April, wZER will be airdropped to users who provide liquidity for the wZER/USDT pair on PancakeSwap. The BSC is an Ethereum clone that aims to provide an alternative to Ethereum with lower fees and faster transactions. PancakeSwap is a popular decentralized exchange that uses an automated market maker (AMM) model and has become the second largest decentralized finance (DeFi) platform by total value locked. By making wZER available on the BSC and PancakeSwap, Zero aims to expand its trading pairs, lower fees and faster transaction times for wZER, enable users to store wZER with other coins in their choice of wallets, and allow Zero to expand its DeFi offerings. ZER holders will also be able to earn passive income by contributing to a wZER pool on PancakeSwap.

What are Masternodes?

On blockchains like Zero’s, full nodes store a complete copy of the ledger, connect with peer nodes, and process/validate transactions. Because they are so important, coins like Zero provide incentives for running transaction-validating full nodes that can be trusted, called masternodes. These nodes are trusted because operators provide collateral (10,000 ZER) during set up.

Why run a Zero Masternode (ZeroNode)?

For Zero, 25% of the reward for each new block on the chain goes to a ZeroNode (1.35 of 5.40 ZER). Fewer ZeroNodes in the network mean that each node earns more ZER per day. At the time of this article, there were 104 ZeroNodes running, earning on average 8.1 ZER per day for a return on investment of 29.57% per year. Current numbers can be found on the ‘Wallet Info’ tab of the ZeroWallet.

Statistics on Masternodes

That sounds great! How do I get started?

ZeroNodes can be hosted on your own using a VPS, or you can use a hosting service like Pecunia. These options are described more here.

Using a hosting service like Pecunia makes sense for many users because it is inexpensive (~$1 per month), secure (you keep your ZER collateral on your own wallet), and easy to set up.

Pecunia Platform

Step 1: Fund the ZeroNode

Generate a new transparent (t) ZER address. In the ZeroWallet Receive tab, click on ‘New Address.’ Be sure to Export and save/backup the private key in a secure location!

Send exactly 10,000 ZER to this new address in one transaction.

Copy the transaction ID — you’ll need this later. To get the ID, you can right click the transaction on the ‘Overview’ tab and select ‘Copy txid’ to copy it. You can also find it by searching for your t address in the ZER block explorer: https://insight.zeromachine.io/insight/

Step 2: Pay for hosting on Pecunia

Decide how long you want the ZeroNode to be hosted. It’s less expensive per month the longer you want it to be hosted: 1 month ($1.99), 3 months ($4.48), 6 months ($5.94). If you go for the 6 month option, hosting is less than $1 per month!

Pay for hosting on the ‘Billing’ tab. Pecunia gives many crypto options to pay for hosting (BTC, ETH, etc.). We recommend selecting a coin that is easy to trade (on lots of exchanges), with fast confirmation times and low transaction fees. TRX works well for sending small payments like these. To pay for 6 months of hosting, enter at least $5.94 in the amount, and Pecunia will link to a payment service and tell you the amount of the coin you selected to send for payment.

Billing/Payment tab

Send coins for payment

Check payment status on ‘Payment History’

Once the Payment status shows as ‘Completed,’ your Pecunia account will be credited and you’re ready to deploy the ZeroNode.

Step 3: Deploy the ZeroNode on Pecunia

Click on the plus (+) sign to add a new node.

Add a new node

Select ZER and how long you want the node to be hosted.

ZER Hosting Options

Enter your 10,000 ZER transaction ID into the proper field. After the first payment, subsequent payments will come every 4 hours or so, depending on how many ZeroNodes are currently in the network. It will be longer if the count of ZeroNodes is higher than when this article was written (104).

You’ll want to set up some notifications in Pecunia — you can be notified if the ZeroNode status changes and when payments are received.

Go to notification options

Options

If you need help, click on the Chat option in Pecunia (they respond quickly!) or their Discord server.

Click for Support

Help is also available in the #zero-nodes channel on the Zero Discord server.

Join the ZERO Discord Server!

Next Steps…

Stay tuned for our next Medium post on how to spend ZeroNode rewards, deactivate ZeroNodes, etc.

Happy ZeroNoding!!!

Zero (ZER) Masternode Hosting on Pecunia was originally published in Zerocurrency on Medium, where people are continuing the conversation by highlighting and responding to this story.

Liquidity providers on the new V2 contract can be viewed here, and liquidity providers on the old V1 contract can be viewed here. Because most wZER/USDT exchanges are running through the new V2 contract, you should move your liquidity from the V1 contract to the V2 contract if you have not done so already.

This website provides information and links on how to remove liquidity from V1 and add it to the V2 contract. Exchanges of 200 wZER have less than a 1% price impact in the V2 contract, and exchanges of 1000 wZER have less than a 5% price impact. Adding more liquidity will help make larger exchanges have less of a price impact!

wZER Information on PancakeSwap

Typically, wZER price and trade volume information will be available on the PancakeSwap info site, but the info site has been out of date due to really high trade volumes that are making it hard for the info site to keep up. Thankfully, PancakeSwap has a $150,000 development bounty running to design a tracking system that can keep up with their 35,000+ exchange pairs and 800,000+ daily transactions.

PancakeSwap Launches $150,000 Info Site Bounty

While PancakeSwap is working on the info site fix, we’ll keep you up to date with some graphs of wZER trade volume and price!

wZER Trade Volume in April

Although our wZER/USDT pair on PancakeSwap is still new, it saw some impressive trading action during April! On average, 4972 wZER were bought/sold per day, for a total of 144,194 wZER exchanged during April.

wZER Exchanged per day during April

wZER Price in April

Here’s how the average daily wZER price (in USDT) changed over the course of April. April was a good month for ZER/wZER!

Average Daily wZER Price

Moving Funds Between BSC and Exchanges

It’s easy to convert wZER into ZER and ZER into wZER using the wrapping.services gateway, but did you know that it’s also easy to move USDT between the BSC and ZER exchanges? Many exchanges support deposits and withdrawals of USDT using the TRX network (TRC-20) or the Binance Smart Chain (BEP-20), with low withdrawal fees for both options (~$0.30–1.00). You can use the Binance Bridge to move USDT onto the BSC using the TRX network — sometimes this option costs less or is the only option if BSC withdrawals aren’t supported and you want to avoid the high Ethereum (ERC-20) gas fees!

wZER Future Plans

Right now the ZER team is discussing future airdrops for ZER/USDT liquidity providers and staking options for ZER/USDT liquidity tokens. Stay tuned for all of the exciting developments to come!

Setting up ZER on Binance Smart Chain (BSC)

Setting up and swapping ZER on Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

ZER is now available on the Binance Smart Chain & PancakeSwap.

How do I get started?

Here’s a short guide. To complete this process, you will need an amount of ZER and BEP-20 BNB for the gas fees on BSC.

BSC Gas Fees:

Contract Approvals ~ 0.000444 BNB
Swap/LP ~ 0.002 BNB

1. Download the Metamask extension for Chrome and create a new wallet. Make sure to back up your passphrase and store it in a safe place. Other wallets are also supported and you may choose to use one of them. This guide only covers Metamask for Chrome. Metamask also supports Ledger and Trezor.

The Ultimate Crypto Wallet for DeFi, Web3 Apps, and NFTs | MetaMask

Note: If your using Trust wallet or Binance Wallet, here’s two good references on how to set them up for BSC:

How to Set Up and Use Trust Wallet for Binance Smart Chain

Binance Extension Wallet

2. Connect Metamask to the BSC. Metamask is an ETH native wallet but you can configure it to run on BSC. Make sure that you are using Metamask on the right chain and do not send any BEP-20 tokens to an ERC-20 address. They look exactly the same.

Connecting MetaMask to BNB Smart Chain | Binance Academy

Click on “Networks” and select “Custom RPC” then enter BSC Mainet info.

BSC Mainnet:

Network Name: Binance Smart Chain

Default RPC URL:
https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

Alternative RPC URL:
https://bsc-dataseed1.defibit.io/

Alternative RPC URL:
https://bsc-dataseed1.ninicoin.io/

ChainID: 56

Symbol: BNB

Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Binance Smart Chain — Information.

Always make sure that the Binance Smart Chain network is selected in order to make this work.

Note: Copy your wZER Address by clicking on the account name just before the three dots at the top. This is going to be your wZER address — which you will use to direct proceedings from your ZER swap.

wZER BEP-20 Address — Click to copy.

Now you have a wallet and a BSC address. You can send any BEP-20 tokens to this address just like you would hold any ERC-20 tokens on an Ethereum address. If you experience wallet trouble (PancakeSwap token balances not loading), then try switching to a different BSC — RPC URL and try again.

3. Swap ZER for wZER through the Wrapping.Services gateway below:

Note: Please remember the minimum amount you’re able to wrap is $7.50 (Currently 21 ZER).

Swap ZER wZER

To complete the swap, you will first input the amount that you want to swap and indicate the BSC address (wZER BEP-20) where you want to receive them. The current minimum amount is 21 ZER. In the next step you will be prompted to send the ZER to an address. Once completed, you will receive the wZER in your BSC address.

Enter the amount of ZER you want to swap and the wZER BEP-20 address where you want to receive them.

IMPORTANT!

Always send the exact net amount considering the transaction fee.

Make sure that you are using the authentic bridge. Do not use any other gateways — this is the only original and legitimate gateway to receive wZER.

Send the exact amount to the prompted ZER address to receive wZER to the BEP20 address you entered.

ZER/wZER — Swap Confirmed & Completed

The swap process is almost instant. If you run into any difficulties, you can talk to the Wrapping.Services team in their support server. To unwrap wZER you can use the same gateway. Just click the multi directional arrows for “wZER/ZER”.

Unwrapping ZER works just the same. Send from BSC, receive to your native ZER — T or Z address.

4. Now you have wZER on your BSC address. If they don’t show up directly in your balance, select add token/custom token in Metamask and search for wZER by its contract address.

Click “Add Token” to add wZER to your wallet

wZER BEP-20 Contract Address — 0x530e9346870e632a63e8d461bb3c3622e00782de

Add wZER to your Metamask.

You will now see wZER listed in your Metamask.

Here’s the link to the wZER contract on BSC. As an informed blockchain enthusiast on top of major Decentralized Finance (DeFi) trends, you can get a chunk of the airdrop by swapping some ZER to wZER and providing liquidity on PancakeSwap Binance’s most innovative and largest DeFi exchange.

What is Binance Smart Chain?

In essence BSC is an Ethereum clone. While gas fees in the Ethereum DeFi universe have become unsustainable as every action requires an on-chain transaction, BSC has emerged as a worthy competitor. BSC has the same set of tools and functionalities as Ethereum and innovative projects like PancakeSwap have gained traction in the last months.

What is PancakeSwap?

PancakeSwap is a decentralized exchange for swapping BEP20 tokens on Binance Smart Chain. PancakeSwap uses an automated market maker (AMM) model where users trade against a liquidity pool. Such pools are filled with users’ funds. They deposit them into the pool, receiving liquidity provider (or LP) tokens in return. They can use those tokens to reclaim their share, plus a portion of the trading fees. PancakeSwap has become the second biggest DeFi platform after Uniswap with billions of USD in locked value.

(TVL) Total value locked on PancakeSwap

Note: The Binance Smart Chain only works with BEP-20 addresses. Please make sure you use a BEP-20 address (beginning with ‘0x’) NOT BEP-2 address (address beginning with ‘bnb’) to store or transact wZER, BUSD, BNB or any other coins on Binance Smart Chain.

wZER is now available on PancakeSwap.

What are the benefits of getting ZER on Binance Smart Chain & PancakeSwap?

1. ZER will be available on a DEX. Anyone in the world will be able to buy ZER (as wZER — the wrapped version of ZER) on the Binance Smart Chain using PancakeSwap. Both (T) Transparent & (Z) Private addresses are compatible, enabling investors access to private DeFi.

2. Expansion of trading pairs — users will be able to swap wZER directly with many other tokens listed on PancakeSwap & Binance Smart Chain.

3. Lower fees and faster transactions for wZER trading on BSC and PancakeSwap compared to other DEXs.

4. Users will be able to store their wZER with other coins, with their choice of wallets (like Metamask, Trust Wallet, & other wallets supported by the Binance Smart Chain).

5. Zero will be able to further expand its DeFi offerings by leveraging PancakeSwap’s foundational capabilities like Liquidity Pool Rewards, Staking, Farming, etc.

6. ZER holders will have yet another choice to earn a passive income (today they earn by staking using shared pools or via running a Zero Masternode). They will now be able to earn by contributing to a wZER pool.

7. Reduced dependency on CEXs — tokens often get adversely affected by exchanges or country-specific policies. DEX pools ensure users’ ability to trade in the listed token is never affected. Users also stay in control with no funds sitting in a hackable CEX wallets.

8. By integrating with the Binance Smart Chain, ZER already becomes a part of the Binance Ecosystem. This helps with the efforts in the direction of listing with Binance DEX & CEX.

9. wZER will be able to leverage BscScan — an industry leading explorer — for high-level insights in real-time.

10. Project awareness and expansion of the community — ZER’s presence on the Binance Ecosystem will help spread more awareness about Zero’s Ecosystem and attract new community members.

What is wZER?

Wrapped Zero (wZER) is a Binance Smart Chain token. It belongs to the BEP-20 token standard, a clone of ERC-20 tokens. Wrapping.Services is the maintainer of the ZER/wZER bridge and of the wZER BSC smart contract. Users can opt to swap an amount of ZER for wZER in order to use them on the Binance Smart Chain. Users are able to swap these tokens back to ZER at any time. Both T & Z addresses are compatible, meaning both transparent & private transactions are accepted. For every ZER you send to the bridge, you will receive 1 wZER on the BSC. The total amount of wZER in circulation is always the total amount of ZER wrapped through the bridge. wZER that are unwrapped are burnt automatically by Wrapping.Services. wZER was created in an effort to amplify ZER’s functionality, visibility and to enable investors’ access to private DeFi.

Zero on Twitter: "📢 $ZER is now available on the Binance Smart Chain 📢Swap $ZER > $wZER 👇 https://t.co/8hTdBpE6Yu💰 5000 $wZER airdrop throughout April. This is done through a set of smart contracts that provide an automatic routing process. You can also opt to add wZER liquidity to an existing pool or to create a new liquidity pool to pair wZER to any asset of your choice.

When will the airdrops be taking place?

To get the ball rolling and incentivise early liquidity providers, a series of weekly airdrops will be taking place during April with additional airdrops planned for future dates.

The current airdrop proposal is for 5000 wZER. 100% of the airdrop will be disbursed to liquidity pool token holders who are providing liquidity to the wZER/USDT pool.

Here’s the current distribution of LP tokens:

Pancake LPs Token Contract and Distribution Chart

This distribution will be based on 4 snapshot times throughout April. After each snapshot a total of 1250 wZER will be airdropped to the LP token holder addresses according to the percentage of the pool they hold. Make sure to save the following dates!

Monday 5th April - Snapshot 11:00 UTC

Monday 12th April - Snapshot 11:00 UTC

Monday 19th April - Snapshot 11:00 UTC

Monday 26th April - Snapshot 11:00 UTC

FAQ: ZER vs. wZER

Here you can see answers to the frequently asked questions about ZER/wZER.

Is ZER going away?

No. ZER is the native coin of Zero’s ecosystem and is core to the Zero strategy.

Why was wZER created?

wZER was created in an effort to amplify ZER’s functionality, visibility and to enable investors’ access to private DeFi.

Is wZER a new coin being introduced?

No. wZER is the same coin as ZER.
To make it simple, wZER is ZER on the Binance Smart Chain.

What is the contract address of wZER on Binance Smart Chain?

wZER BEP-20 contract address: 0x530e9346870e632a63e8d461bb3c3622e00782de

Will wZER have a separate block explorer than the ZER block explorer to view the wZER activity?

Yes. wZER is on the standard BscScan explorer. You can see wZER on BscScan here.

Can we edit the BNB fee for transactions?

Experienced Metamask users may use the EDIT option to change the network fee for cheaper transaction fees. However, we suggest you leave the default fee in place as sometimes it can show as a failed transaction if set too low.

Is the total supply of wZER+ZER going to be more than total supply of ZER?

No. The total supply stays the same as the total supply of ZER. When you convert ZER to wZER, your ZER is locked and no one will have access to it until you convert back from wZER to ZER (you don’t have to.) If you choose to convert wZER to ZER, the amount of wZER you are converting is automatically burnt and an equal amount of ZER is unlocked and transferred to you.

DeFi just like Blockchain, is still very young and experimental. Please make sure that you understand all the risks. Do not use these technologies if you’re not aware of the risks and willing to run them.

Impermanent Loss Explained | Binance Academy

Important links

Swapping gateway for ZER/wZER

wZER token contract address

wZER/USDT liquidity pool contract

List of Liquidity Provider token holders of the wZER/USDT pair on PancakeSwap

Add wZER/USDT liquidity on PancakeSwap

Exchange wZER <-> USDT on PancakeSwap

ZER is now available on the Binance Smart Chain & PancakeSwap. was originally published in Zerocurrency on Medium, where people are continuing the conversation by highlighting and responding to this story.

Please check the update log, plan accordingly & backup your wallets⚠️

Archived Transactions
Transactions are now saved to the wallet in a minimalistic fashion so that they may be recovered from the blockchain. The new structure only contains enough data to pinpoint the transaction on the blockchain and retrieve after they have been deleted from the active transactions using the deletetx functions. Active transactions are unchanged and still retain all of the original data structures.

Updated RPC
Multiple RPC have been updated to provide exchanges with detailed transaction information for both incoming and outgoing addresses. All of these updated RPCs utilize the new Archived Transaction feature to provide full wallet history.
zs_gettransaction
zs_listtransactions
zs_listrecievedbyaddress
zs_listspentbyaddress
zs_listsentbyaddress

Extended Full View key support
Extended Full view key support has been added to the full node so that users can see all of the incoming and outgoing transactions associated to this key. Support for this key is present in all of the new RPC calls above.

Disable prune mode, require txindex
Txindex is required for the Archived Transactions function to work correctly, prune mode is incompatible with txindex

Zero on Twitter: "$ZER Draco 3.2.0 -⚠️This release creates a new Transaction Archive and will automatically reindex on first load.
