We’re throwing a month-long bash to celebrate this! It all kicks off at 00:00 UTC on June 5th and lasts until the end of June. Get ready for a whole month of festivities!

Every Monday, we will release one quest through OpenBlox’s Zealy Questboard, of which we will also update on our social media and on our community announcement channels, so you won’t miss when the quest starts.

What is Shoe Rarity?

In RunBlox, shoes are categorized into five different rarity levels. It’s worth noting that the higher the rarity, the more significant the potential rewards and attributes. Additionally, shoes with higher rarity levels also boast distinct designs that differentiate them from their lower rarity counterparts

The latest exciting feature for RunBlox App

What’s a LootBox ?

The LootBox feature is the most recent update on the RunBlox App, which will make every activity even more exciting. The LootBox is a random box containing special rewards, which will appear as soon as users finish an activity (as displayed below).
The users need to perform an activity that consumes a minimum of 2 energies in order to obtain a Lootbox.

Note: In order to make the explanation clearer, there are three LootBoxs shown below, Rare, Epic & Legendary.

When a LootBox appears on the running activity UI screen, the user can decide to get the LootBox or discard it.

When users receive the LootBox, there will be a tick displayed on the UI to let the user know that the LootBox has been obtained.

The lootbox will be displayed on the user’s home screen as shown below:

LootBox Rarities

There will be 5 different rarities for LootBoxes, users will get a specific LootBox based on their shoe level. The shoe level and luck will determine chances of obtaining the different rarity of the LootBox.

The probabilities of the LootBox obtained are also based on your shoe level as well as luck.

LootBox Rewards

There will be some exciting rewards to be won when opening the LootBox. Rewards will differ for each specific LootBox rarity; some of the rewards are shown below :

Users can hold up to 4 unopened LootBoxes, but next time they do an activity, they will miss the the chance to get another LootBox.
Important: The LootBox should be opened before its expiry time. If the user fail to open the LootBox before the expiry time, the LootBox will be automatically distracted.

Every LootBox opening comes at a specific cost; the higher the LootBox rarity, the higher the opening cost will be. The higher the LootBox rarity is, the bigger the rewards will be.

What is RunBlox?

RunBlox is a Web3 App, created to connect humans with the real world. The world in which we spend time with other humans, and where we experience emotions and derive our energy from.

With RunBlox, you track physical activity such as walking, jogging, or running, which all contribute to greater overall wellbeing.

It’s a Web3 app because it will create a connection between Web2 apps and blockchain technology. With RunBlox, you can’t just track your activity, but you will also be rewarded with in-app tokens. It falls among the Move & Earn apps.

To start your RunBlox journey, all you need is an “NFT shoe”, the main in-app asset. It can be thought of as similar to shoes in real life, which enable you to move comfortably.

How does it work?

We’ve integrated various features to make the app more interactive and create a challenging yet fun activity tracking app. One of the features mirroring real life is the degradation of shoes. The more you use them, the sooner your shoes will need repairs. Of course, the choice of shoes also matters in that regard, with shoes having different traits such as Hit Points directly influencing their durability.

Hit Points: A shoe attribute that defines their rate of decay and durability. The higher the points, the more durable and resilient a shoe is. That means it can be used for longer without repairing it compared to a shoe with low hit points.

An energy level is established, limiting the users’ ability to earn tokens. That means only as long as the in-app energy limit is high enough will you earn tokens. The tracking capabilities aren’t impacted by that.

The overall earning is capped depending on the level of the shoes a user is using. As you use the app, you can use the earned tokens to level up and increase that limit.

• The wallet function will allow the users to access the RunBlox app by simply logging in to their wallets instead of using any emails. Users will have access to all in-app features without any further IDs required.
• Most importantly, it will also ensure that users’ privacy and assets are safe while using RunBlox.

If you are new to RunBlox, all you need to do is download the RunBlox app from download.runblox.io, set up your wallet by following the app instructions, and get ready to start.

If you are an existing user, please follow our tutorial to move your previous account to the new wallet function and transfer your assets seamlessly.

Simply follow the three steps outlined below, and you’re all set (tutorial video):

1. Download the new app, create a new wallet, and note down your wallet address.
2. Go to the “My Account” section in the RunBlox marketplace. Log into your wallet and account. You will see the ‘Migrate’ button pop up if you hold RunBlox NFT in your previous account. Please press the “Migrate” button, fill in your new wallet address on the next page, then sign the automatically generated message in your MetaMask to confirm.

⚠️ Please always double-check if you have input the correct address!
It will be impossible to get your assets back if you transfer them to the wrong address.

We’re excited to share the details of our first RunBlox airdrop for the Korean community. RunBlox is the first web3 app we will release, which motivates, and rewards Blox Runners for moving.

We will airdrop in total 1500 NFTs to the Korean community, regardless of whether recipients are genesis holders.

Now you might wonder how winners are selected.

Here is how

There are broadly two ways to qualify, and we will pick all winners from AMA participants.

• Answer questions correctly, first-come, first-served
• Interesting questions asked; a few of the winners will be those that asked during our AMA

How will I know if I win?

You can find out if you are one of the lucky winners by connecting your wallet to our Project Galaxy campaign from May 20th at 10:00 am UTC. If you are eligible to claim the OAT, congrats, you are one of the winners 🎊

When will I receive the airdrop?

The airdrop to winners will take place on May 20th at 8 pm KST.

Activation Codes

To start using Runblox, users will need activation codes. If you won, please stay tuned in discord. We will drop a link to apply for the tester role. The first come the first reserve. For the first 8 days, only 100 users are eligible to access to Alpha version of Runblox. Thereafter, the invitation codes will be generated gradually.

Exclusive Testing Access

All our activation code winners will receive the special tester role, which provides them exclusive access to the Korean RunBlox feedback channel.

Please share any feedback, or suggestions you have when first using the app, so we can continue improving it. There will also be rewards in $RUX for valuable contributions.

How many activation codes exist?

Overall we will distribute an exclusive 100 activation codes from May 20th to May 27th. Afterwards, we will increase the number until we have distributed the entirety of 10,000 codes.

RunBlox will be the first move-and-earn application which brings together the digital and the real world. It will be launched on Avalanche Ecosystem.
