Abraham's baby blessing

Abraham received his name and blessing by Daddy at church today. It was just one of five baby blessings in our ward today! He was officially given the name Abraham Starr Cox (not Gotham!, phew!). He was blessed with patience and kindness to bear the trials only the Lord knows he will face in his life. He was blessed with wisdom and to learn from his older brothers and sister. He was blessed to live worthily and prepare to take his mate to the temple to enter into the true Abrahamic covenant. He was told he indeed was one of the noble and great ones shown to Abraham by the Lord and that he needs to do what he can to gain his own testimony of this truth.

It was a wonderful blessing and I am so grateful all of our kids could witness Mike using the priesthood to bless Abraham. Lots of family came to see Abraham and celebrate with us today: Carol and kids, Melanie and David and kids, Gma and Gpa Romney, Staci and Leon and kids, and Keith and Barbara.

Abraham, you are loved more than you know. You are sweet and seem so old and wise. We loved celebrating your sweet spirit today and look forward to seeing the man you will become.

Abraham also turned two months old today!

Isaac's Preschool pics

In February Isaac's preschool went on a field trip to Peter Piper Pizza. It was just two weeks after Abraham was born, and Mike stayed home with Olivia and Abe so I could take Isaac. (It was also my first outing since having the baby!)

Isaac passed off all his letter sounds! He has to know all the sounds each letter can make! Way to go, Isaac!

Community helper month at Isaac's preschool. They had a police officer, nurse, and doctor all come on different days to talk to the kids.

Baby Abey

Little Abraham has many names. Mostly we call him Abraham, but also Abe, Hammer, Baby Brother, Baby Abey, and Olivia coined the name Babe-raham, which is my favorite.

Kid Connection April 2015

Abraham is almost two months old! How does this happen? He is still so good! He laughs in his sleep, and rarely cries when he is awake. He is getting big and strong, and still tries to suck on his thumb, but we are trying to get him hooked on the binki instead. A week ago he even rolled over from tummy to back! It was a fluke thing at tummy time, but he did it!

Olivia is a sweet (and sassy) two year old. She is a little princess, but doesn't mind playing in the dirt with the boys. She is the sweetest sister and is so motherly to Abraham. She is always quick to help him, loves to get his binki or diaper when needed, and begs to hold him any chance she gets. She has decided to potty train herself these last few days and has been doing an amazing job of it! I am not ready to potty train another (I'm still working with the boys!) but she is insistent!

Isaac is the playful peacemaker in our home. He is always ready to play or join in on a joke. But when someone is sad he is the first there with a hug and a kiss to help them feel better. He loves preschool and his teacher is constantly telling me how smart he is. He loves riding scooters and bikes outside with Eli, and just started playing soccer in a local league, which he seems to love.

Eli is almost done with kindergarten and is doing well! He's really learning to read now, and has been working on his spelling tests each week ( he can earn a trip to the ice cream store for each 100%). He is such a caring and responsible big brother. He makes friends easily but loves being home with his family. He also just started playing soccer and seems to love it. Anything that involves running or racing is perfect for him!

Happy Easter!

A week before Easter we had our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. The kids had a blast! I had Olivia go in the age group with Isaac (so I could keep track of them), and Mike helped Eli in the next group older. It was also Anraham's first time in the Bjorn carrier. He slept in that the whole time and was perfect!

The kids in their new Easter clothes. It's tricky getting them to sit still and look at the camera for a picture.

Isaac had an Easter party at his preschool. He was so excited for it!

Coloring Easter eggs! When I told them we were going to dye eggs Isaac asked, "How come we have to make them dead?"

And finally Easter morning! The Easter bunny even left eggs hidden all over our yard!

And the best part of this Easter weekend has been listening to General Conference! The kids have been playing conference bingo to earn prizes while we listen.
