Inspired?

**If you came from scrap-gratuit, the kit preview you see is not the freebie!  It should be a Christmas QP.  So sorry!**

I know it’s been a couple weeks since I came out with a new kit, but I’ve just finished the main kit for something new I know you’re all gonna love.  I’m just not feelin’ it.  I’ve gone and pulled together a bunch of new color schemes, browsed galleries, bought new and rummaged through my old scrapbook mags, and even picked up some holiday decorating magazines too.  That inspiration isn’t coming to me though.  What do you do when you’re feeling less than creative?  It’d be great to have some fresh ideas when I sit at PSP tomorrow to work on the add-on.  I’ve put up a new poll over to the right.  I’d love to hear from you so I can give you exactly what your looking for!

The link to the DAC Blog Party freebie is gone.  If you missed it, you can still get this elegant cluster set here.  Many thanks to all the people who visited, downloaded, and left comments.  I so hope you get lots of use out of these little sets!  Get the entire Heirlooms Collection here

The December collab is out at DAC also.  12 minikits by 12 designers for a super low price!  This quickpage uses my part of this fantastic megakit.  Click on my preview and scroll to the bottom to see all 12 kits.

That moment

In March of this year, we lost my sister due to a tragic home improvement accident.  Today would have been her 38th birthday.  While I’ve been trying not to think too much about it, it has come to my mind about a dozen times today during work.  I had to stop and take a moment to myself.  Please, take this moment to think about your loved ones.  Would you have any regrets if tomorrow never came for them?  Is there anything you’ve been forgetting to say?  After you’ve taken your moment, take another and call them.  Send an e-mail.  Write an old fashioned note.  Just don’t let that moment sneak up on you like it did me.  Don’t let something be left unsaid.  Thanks for coming and allowing me to share with all of you.

She’s almost grown!

What a day! The first day of school was a very exciting one this year. Shea, who started 6th grade today, had a new hair cut yesterday. And boy does she love it. But, the stylist ran a flat iron through it, so at 5:30 this morning she comes running in my room asking me to straighten her hair. I must admit, it looked great. She’s getting so grown up! While I don’t like that this means she’ll be wearing make-up soon and having boyfriends, I’m so very proud of what a beautiful person she’s growing to be. Which she knows has nothing to do with looks. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency with my boss, I lost my day off and wasn’t able to see either of the kids when they came home from school this evening. I think I got some great shots of her, but Caleb, I had to make him sit in a chair on the porch as he was running out the door for the bus at 6:30. Once again, he wasn’t as happy about the start of school as Shea.

OK, so now that you’ve heard me ramble on about the kids, here’s the album I promised. Made with my Simply Blue Minikit. I think I’m especially fond of this album and use it for the other 300 pictures I got from Gulf Shores.  Includes 8 – 4×6 QPs plus a front & back page.  35% off right now making the album 1.95!  But before you scroll down, I have a lot of great freebies planned for next month to celebrate DAC’s 1st Birthday.  So don’t forget to suscribe to this blog to be sure you don’t miss any of them!  And don’t stop scrolling cause Maree (from FMC) has made an awesome QP using my Rue Beinville Page Kit as well!

Return from the Big Easy

New Orleans was wonderful.  Beautiful weather with a breeze every day.  We saw so many animals I don’t think I’ll ever have to take the kids to the zoo again.  Between the aquarium, the zoo, and the insectasarium, we’re good.  But!  I got about 300 pictures and still have not had a chance to do anything with them.  I’ll get to it.  Right now, I’m feeling inspired by the gorgeous balconies around the french quarter area.  I’ve already got a paper pack ready and even some elements.  Work is really getting in the way though.  I’ll be back in a couple days to preview the new kit.  Have a great week!

Check out this teaser.  Free mega-kit at Digital Arts Cafe.  Available soon!!
