Bee Mine

Good morning! Doesn’t matter what time of day it is, I prefer to say good morning. I just think it sounds so cheery and pleasant. So good morning! And have a great day!

DAC’s February collab is at the store and this is one you have to have. This is such a fun megakit and filled with so much inspiration for both Valentine’s layouts and getting ready for Spring layouts. Definately one you’ll be using all through spring. Closet dog lover

I grew up with dogs. Big or small, all mutts, some I remember more than others. We had a couple cats over the years, but we were all dog people. Since moving away from home, my new neighborhood doesn’t care for the big dogs. I most definately don’t want one of those little dogs that fit in a purse and “yap”. So we settled for cats. Now don’t get me wrong! I love my kitties. Each is so unique with more personality than many of my neighbors.

Tinka here is my indoor (mostly) calico manx. I’ve heard people here call them cabbits saying the cat bred with a rabbit. Althogh it’s total nonsense, I can see where someone might think that.

Oh sweet Misty…. We saw her at the petstore. A beautiful fluffy white and gray cat. Not aggresive, but hissing and sitting in her litter box. I knew I had to take her home or God knows what would have happened to her. Over the last 2 years I have tried with all my might to get her to come in, but she will only linger by the door.

And finally Kitty. Kitty was the best cat anyone ever had. He went missing 2 years ago. “Probably to go live with his girlfriend,” said son.

Inspired?

I know it’s been a couple weeks since I came out with a new kit, but I’ve just finished the main kit for something new I know you’re all gonna love. I’m just not feelin’ it. I’ve gone and pulled together a bunch of new color schemes, browsed galleries, bought new and rummaged through my old scrapbook mags, and even picked up some holiday decorating magazines too. That inspiration isn’t coming to me though. What do you do when you’re feeling less than creative? It’d be great to have some fresh ideas when I sit at PSP tomorrow to work on the add-on. I’ve put up a new poll over to the right. I’d love to hear from you so I can give you exactly what your looking for!

Happy birthday to me!

That’s right! I’m 23!! Ok, so maybe I’m not 23. Maybe I’m 30…. I wanted to do a huge kit to give away today, but I’ll admit it, I’m exhausted. So, I’ll do this instead. Campout party

I was so honored yesterday when fellow DAC designer Phillsboo used my Varsity Page Kit for these 2 layouts.

I just had to go and pick up her latest kit, Bubblegum, which is so cute and easy to work with, to do a layout also. For her 11th birthday, my daughter chose to have a campout party. It turned out great by the way, if your looking for birthday ideas, this one was the best ever and all the girls had a blast. We roasted hotdogs and made smores that night (of course) and had a breakfast of doughnuts and hot chocolate. Phillsboo’s kit was perfect for the pink PJs.

That moment

In March of this year, we lost my sister due to a tragic home improvement accident. Today would have been her 38th birthday. While I’ve been trying not to think too much about it, it has come to my mind about a dozen times today during work. I had to stop and take a moment to myself. Please, take this moment to think about your loved ones. Would you have any regrets if tomorrow never came for them? Is there anything you’ve been forgetting to say? After you’ve taken your moment, take another and call them. Send an e-mail. Write an old fashioned note. Just don’t let that moment sneak up on you like it did me. Don’t let something be left unsaid. Thanks for coming and allowing me to share with all of you.

Both of these use some old kits from me.

New Orleans for the weekend!

Just a quick post to let you all know I’ll be in New Orleans this weekend, enjoying beignets on canal street and a much anticipated trip to the zoo and aquarium.
