Bearlake May 2012

I know that I still have 8 more months to catch up on, but I am taking a break from 2011 to post about our fabulous mini vacation to Bearlake. I found an incredible cabin to rent and we got a screaming deal on it and couldn't pass it up. We armed our home security system utah and drove the 2-3 hrs to Bear Lake. The Barringtons and the Rogers joined us and we had one amazing time. This is a picture of the cabin from the back.  It had 4 slides coming down from the balcony and slides on the inside from level to level.

The kitchen was amazing, it had 4 beautiful tables, one fit all the kiddos, one fit the adults, one Dustin used for work stuff and one extra just in case.

Jake set up his own little office right outside our bedroom on top of a bumper pool table that over looked the giant play room down below. He could get his work done and check on the house with our security cameras.

The whole top floor was pretty much surrounded by windows so you could see the gorgeous view of the lake at all times.

This is a picture of the playroom on the bottom floor, it had an indoor trampoline dug in the ground, a half court basketball set up and a play ground.

This is a weird picture to post, but upstairs by the kitchen was a little climbing wall and nook right above the slide that went down to the second level.

I didn't get any pictures of the pool table, ping pong table, theater room, drinking fountain and a bunch of other awesome things.

One morning the older kids colored outside while the little ones napped.  It was such a gorgeous view.

Our second day there we made our way to the lake.

The kids didn't mind the freezing cold water too much.

Aurora and Launi are pretty close in age and became the best of friends instantly. They got a long so well, there wasn't an ounce of drama. Actually all of the kids got a long perfectly, they were so so good the entire time.

Plenty of babies have chubby knees and big rolls on their thighs, but Simon is in the pretty exclusive club of babies that have saggy ankles with fat hanging over their feet.  I LOVE it!

Anna and Chris giving me a fabulous pose.  The first day of our vacation was their 10 year anniversary, 4 kids and quite a few homes and schools and jobs later and they look amazing as ever.

After that first day at the lake we made our way over to some hot springs. It was pretty much just kind of stinky hot pools but man did our kids love it there.

Lila and Elias were so cute together, they got along so well. I asked Lila who her favorite person to play with was and she said, "Cozey, no Cade, no Elias. Mom don't ask me that, they were all my favorite."

We went to a different beach on Friday, it was perfection.

Whit and Dustin brought a little boat/raft and we all took turns going for rides.

Dustin and Cade built a sweet sand castle.

After dinner on our last night we got into jammies and had another photo shoot. Some one shouted "hug each other" and Cade turned and grabbed Lila so fast, it was hilarious.

The moms with the kids, I love these sad faces.

 A beautiful sunset.

Here are the adults enjoying some delicious pie after the kids went to bed. We also had shakes the night before in the same place at the same time. The kids were so wiped out from being at the lake and playing all day that they went to bed so easily each night.
Image
Saturday was our last day in bearlake and to save ourselves $350 we did our own cleaning. In a 9000 square foot house it pretty much took forever. We all went to lunch and had shakes together on our way out.

It was an amazing 3 days and Jake and I are already trying to figure out when we can go back.
