MenuMeters overview
MenuMeters is a set of CPU, memory, disk, and network monitoring tools for Mac OS X. Although there are numerous other programs which do the same thing, none had quite the feature set I was looking for. Most were windows that sat in a corner or on the desktop, which are inevitably obscured by document windows on a PowerBook's small screen. Those monitors which used the menubar mostly used the NSStatusItem API, which has the annoying tendency to totally reorder my menubar on every login.
The MenuMeters monitors are true SystemUIServer plugins (also known as Menu Extras). This means they can be reordered using command-drag and remember their positions in the menubar across logins and restarts.
MenuMeters is open source freeware released under the GNU General Public License version 2.

Just reiterating my sub-comment so nobody is confused. MenuMeters works fine with Mac OS Sequoia 15.2 on my M4-pro Macbook Pro. The problem was with Hidden Bar, not MenuMeters. This free app is a cl****ic!

It was a fantastic app for all the years it lasted, however MM 2.1.6.1 does not work for me under MacOS Sequoia 15.2. No meters show up in the menu-bar. The old PrefPanes version was working under Rosetta until I foolishly uninstalled it and I installed the app version. It's a sad day for MenuMeters lovers until a work-around shows up.

Long-time Menumeters user. I love being able to monitor CPU usage and internet traffic from my menu bar. Lots of customization to configure to your liking. Working great with Mac OS Sequoia 15.0.1 on my M1 Macs. Appreciate that this has always been and remains free.

Been using menumeters since PPC days and several generations later it's still going strong and it is definitely one of the first apps installed after buying a new mac. Thank you for taking the reigns and updating this.
